Re: Graphics Card Help... flag p6523w and gtx 970 low use of the graphics card

Hello

I seem to have a problem with an add on the graphics card in my Pavilion p6523w

(Yes, this 12 '' long card fits into the case without problem)

upgrades made so far for this machine:

Antec 600W PSU

additional hard drive

upgrades memory 12 GB (2x2gb original + 2 x 4 GB modules)

AMD Phenom II 1045 6 hearts

ASUS 144 Hz 27 "monitor

The ATI integrated graphics card is disabled in the bios, and I was running an evga gtx 460 for two years with no problems.

When I "upgraded" to a new gtx Gigabyte 970 OC with 4 GB of vram (not the version of g1, the next one down) I came across a problem

the new video card will not work at full load when running the games.

On tests of reference such as furmark and the reference of the sky, it works fine.

On World of Warcraft and Second Life different viewers, it only works 25% rates of burden and the frame down about 15 fps at 32 fps. (it is slower than the old gtx 460)

Other people with this same card to receive 100 + FPS on graphics settings maxed out in Second Life

This is not a matter of processor bottleneck, because the processor will never more than 60 percent load while it is happening.

I tried different versions of drivers availible for this card.

Whenever I changed drivers, I booted in safe mode and DDU to remove the old drivers before installing a different version.

No change in performance between driver versions.

No change in performance with different graphics settings in games.

No change in performance with different settings in Control Panel NVidia

I'm starting to wonder if there is an incompatibility between this card and the motherboard Bios causing this problem.

Is the newest bios American Megatrends 6.04 version?

Thanks in advance for any help with this.

Mark S.

There is no problems listed under the dxdiag for my system. Apparently, this card can work with older motherboards.

I just discovered that this issue of throttleing was a fairly frequent problem quite some 970 and 980 based gtx cards and a solution that works for me.

There is a 3rd party outside vbios that changes the limit of use NT 250 watts up to 275 watts of power.

It is the only change from the original version.

Flashing your Vbios may void the warranty on your video card

Another thing to check is the voltage drop as possible on the 12VDC feeding the card.

Some people have experienced this problem and it causes the same symptoms.

This was not the case in my system, but it's one thing to check before resorting to some flashes of the vbios.

If you are planning on flashing the Vbios from your video card, be sure to save a copy of the original Vbios in case you need to restore the map to the stock.

To my surprise after installing it, it started no problem! I installed the latest drivers from the website of Zotac and then rebooted the system, but still no problems!

I ran all the points of reference 3-DMark, more than twice with no problems! [which is about 7 times faster than my ATI hd5770]

    Hello

I am looking to buy the GTX to my HP Envy 700-470NA 970. I also need a 600w PSU to use my current power supply (500w) would be risky.

My question is, I'll be able to replace the power supply on my desktop with the 600w Corsair? Well, just reliable and good quality PSU with 600W which can be compatible with my PC would be great.

Please provide a link to the PSU if possible. Thank you!

You are welcome. Thank you for the additional information.

Yes, the cables should function properly. Cards mothers HP have the ATX 24 power connector standard pins. You could buy a modular power supply. In this way, that you don't have to use all the cables that are not necessary. This makes more space for good air circulation.

    Alhamdulillah...

I ended up doing... I saved the template to a file from the Toolbox id sys... (my model is in discrete form) then I loaded it in labview using load file pattern...

  • DB restoration and recovery when you use followed the change block

Does anyone know of a document that explains the restoration of the database and recovery when you use the block and the incremental backups the track changes? I understand how to turn the OTC market, and how it can shorten the time to do an incremental backup. I need advice when choosing the frequency of backups of 1-0 and level level and how it affects my food options. I also need to decide if the level 1 backups update the copy of most recent data on the disk file.

If the copy of the data on disk file is updated by each level 01:00 am I right to say that I can restore to point in time that this moment occurs after level 1 has been taken? If so, then maybe I don't have level 1 update the copy of the data file on disk. If I take a level 0 Sunday and daily level 1 Monday - Saturday, so I think I can restore to any point in time after the 0 level.

A lot of documentation explains my backup options, but there is less material tell how my backup choice affects my food options.

    Thank you
    Bill

BCT applies to backups only, there is no connection with the restoration.
I think you are confused about the difference between

    (1) incremental of backups
    and
    (2) "normal incremental backups".

In the first case (see http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/backup.112/e10642/rcmbckba.htm#CHDEHBFF), in the base implementation because an incremental backup is applied to a still image copies and you cannot go back to an earlier point in time – before the changes applied.

'Normal' incremental backups are done after a full backup (level 0), you can return to the level 0 backup earlier.
RMAN follows rules of detention, in the basic version of an incremental backup that is updated, you have a retention of redundancy policy 1. This means that a full backup (image of copies, which are updated by the incremental backups again and again) is available.
Backup incremental 'Normal' in most cases after a few days recovery windows - a time window.

  • Help! ASUS GeForce GTX 550Ti do not accept the Precision T3400

    Hey guys,.

I've upgraded an abandoned T3400 I received through work. I upgraded to a C2D E7400 to a C2Q Q9550, equip the new memory, a 60 GB Intel SSD which is my boot drive and tried to install a 500 GB Western Digital Caviar Blue makes clicking noise at startup and is not recognized by the BIOS or Windows. But the main thing that interests me is why my T3400 does not recognize my Asus GeForce GTX 550 Ti? It is listed in the BIOS and Device Manager in the form of generic VGA card with no. make or model number. I tried to update the BIOS with software from ASUS site but I get an error message saying something in the sense of "this device is not defined in VBIOS. I don't see where else to go and I would like to take full advantage of this card.

    Thank you

    Sorry,

Device recognized now, close the message.

  • The difference between them and how they are used by the first?

I'll buy Adobe CS5 Master Collection. I have a job that has Win 7 Ultimate 64-bit. I have a Nvidia CX card that is installed. The Nvidia card came with fast HD. I will also receive a Matrox MXO2 mini for my junction box.

My Question is what is the difference between - fast HD, elemental Accelerator, technology Max that you can get with the Matrox junction box, and all this will be of use to me or come into conflict with the Mercury playback engine. I don't think I'll buy the Max technology (no not necessary). But I'm confused on the other 3 being redundant or contradictory.

Can someone please suggest another option for a junction box? Some companies do not support their products if you are using a Dell workstation.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for any advice or suggestions.

RapiHD is the former name of the elemental accelerator. The EA is a PP plugin that uses your graphics card from nVidia (via CUDA, nVidia GPU programming structure) to speed up encoding h.264/AVC output files. The previous link in this thread is wrong, but here is a link to work for the elemental Accelerator. The product is pretty much dead end, so much that it will be not a CS5 version. There is a stand-alone version called lucky, but it requires you to use Adobe products to encode firstly your timeline to an uncompressed AVI file (or any other format), thus defeating the purpose.

The Mercury playback engine uses CUDA to accelerate the effects, transitions and insight into the chronology PP. It accelerates only marginally encoding, or not at all. There are a lot of threads on this forum discuss the EMT.

I have a Blackmagic Design card, so I can't tell you anything about the Matrox card and its software.

  • JSONData handling and storage for later use in the application.

    Hi all

I am facing a problem here. In fact, I'm a little confused... I don't get a way to response JSON of Handel that I get from web service. By managing the answer here I mean like in java we have collections (vector and arraylist) to store and work with data in other classes by making public static or something like that. The approach that I have followed with java development blackberry for the treatment and processing of the data has been I use to make bean and depending on the response class, I use to create the data manager, but here I am confused how to do this. According to the analysis of response Soon feared thanks to the contributors of this forum I reached successfully.

I enclose files to display the approach I have following until now for the treatment of the data.

    Hello all,.

Thanks for the support and suggestions. Problem is solved.

    Concerning

  • NVIDIA GTX 970 will work for the use of CUDA with Adobe Premiere CC 2015?

    So it's my graphics card: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00R3NK2LE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8 & psc = 1

I don't think that I am currently using Nvidia CUDA with Adobe first CC 2015. My card is compatible with this feature?

Also, if the answer is "Yes", when I install drivers Nvidia CUDA, I uncheck the display driver? Since I also use my rig for games, I want to make sure I'm not downgrading my display driver. Or is the necessary display CUDA driver?

    Thank you.

    It will work very well.

You only need the CUDA for Mac pilot. The normal display driver has everything you need for Windows.

  • Does anyone know how to reach the Tower of paper and zoom effect they use on the TV news? Where they have a document on the screen and then zoom and highlight a part of it?

I see this sort of thing all the time on the news. They talk of a letter or something like that, and then 'scream' a piece of it that zooms for the Viewer to read.

Is this something that can be done in Premiere Pro or After Effects? If so, is there a tutorial for that?

    Thank you!

    Ken

Lots of ways to do so; the final aspect is to you.

But any change that will involve 2 copies of an image of the document (image, not pdf, text or Word document. Like a paper copy of scan). At least one must have a resolution in pixels above the dimensions of the video image pixel.

Example: your video is full HD - 1920 pixels by 1080 pixels. Scan a 8.5 in. by 11 in the document at 300 dpi and you get an image that is 2550 pixels 3300 pixels. You put two copies of this document scanned into your sequence of Pr image stacking them on separate video tracks. A scale down in size to show the entire document and leave one full size. Be sure to keep the size of the one at the top of the scale. To the small scale visible under the copy full size, put on a mask or garbage matte on the waist to reveal the text you want to finally show the public. Reduce the hidden copy and place it in the frame to match the document below. Animate the scale of the above 100% copy to get the desired zoom effect.

Add borders, caches, mattes of color or anything else to get the look and the desired effect.

There are other ways to do so; Some may even be easier. That's how I'd do.

  • MD5 and custom to be used as the OS ISOs

    Hello

I downloaded VMWare Studio and set up the same work with VMWARE Server (1.0.6).

    Here's my observation:

Tab OS (on the device, I am setting up), there is a field to specify the ISO for the operating system. There is another field for MD5 (this happens to a field read-only).

    Here are my questions:

    (1) why is MD5 made read-only?

    (2) if I decide to change the ISO of the OS as shown in the "ISO" URL, then I should be able to change the corresponding MD5. If I'm unable to edit MD5, it means I'm being reserved for the only OSs uses according to the templates provided by Studio.

I understand the reasoning behind it.

Would be grateful if you could suggest other ways to edit fields.

    Thank you

    -Sophie Favier.

    OK, it's compliant behavior.

    Here are my questions:

    (1) why is MD5 made read-only?

Because the MD5 hash database are used to validate that the generation of support corresponds to media of construction used to QA test this model special base (and resulting profiles of the device).

    (2) if I decide to change the ISO of the OS as shown in the "ISO" URL, then I should be able to change the corresponding MD5. If I'm unable to edit MD5, it means I'm being reserved for the only OSs uses according to the templates provided by Studio.

Well, it's as consistent. The reason of which allows the URL of the ISO to change is to reflect the alternate source location for that image ISO... only not for the supply of media of BONES that are not supported. Definition of caps of supported in this context... that is, what has been QA had and spec'd for the product.

This does not mean you spin cannot build your own base models by changing one of those already existing in the file system of the VMware Studio environment, it simply means that we do not have any insurance configuration and management scripts will work with your alternative OS support.

I understand the reasoning behind it.

Would be grateful if you could suggest other ways to edit fields.

    Hello

I downloaded VMWare Studio and set up the same work with VMWARE Server (1.0.6).

    Here's my observation:

Tab OS (on the device, I am setting up), there is a field to specify the ISO for the operating system. There is another field for MD5 (this happens to a field read-only).

  • RX 480 / GTX 970 non - PC Alienware x 51 R1? :) < 3

    Thanks in advance...

now... Then my R1 Alienware X 51 manage either a GTX 970 (current consumption? / it fits, found a beeing 9.5 inches) or the work of RX 480? ATM I use a GTX 960 4 GB ("draw" power 120W) and before this, I was using a GTX 660 (140W power draw, I even OC it by far: D)... and the GTX 970 would use 145 W max says NViDIA. ... If someone could help me with this? The RX 480 and GTX 970 would cost me the same. The two match. But wise, I'm not sure at 100% power. :)

    Hello

The RX 480 will require less energy. On this model, we have 2 types of power supply (240W and 330W), so the RX 480 will work with the 240W, but with the GTX 970 we recommend 330W adapter.

  • Need help with loop and variable

    Hi all.

I'm almost there with this, but I'm stuck on one last question.

I am a loop in XML to choose the images to display, with the title and ID (which is used in the link).
Everything works now except the itemID. This used to work, but now the ID is the same for all containers/links on the page.

Code is attached below, and the function is the image.addEventListener.
The itemID variable is that doesn't change is not to reflect the individual elements.

    Please please help.

    Thank you very much

    Hello

You can try to use logic you used in your posted previous sample. Use the event.currentTarget.id to get the ID of the Image.

    image.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, function(e:Event):void
    {
    var imgId:String = e.currentTarget.id;
var url: URLRequest = new URLRequest (" http://localhost/youtubeDownloader-debug/index.cfm?video=" + imgID).
    navigateToURL (url, "_blank");

    });

You can also use the property 'data' of the Image to store the value you want and use the same property to get the value in the event listener.

    I hope this helps.
