  If you click on tools > Options > advanced > maintenance > store folder, you should see where WLM is keeping sound files using now.  Navigate to this folder and then go up from there and after a few clicks you should see another folder that will contain the previous files, if they exist.  If you see any other folder, then they probably disappeared.

  Support for HARD drives and capacities are listed in Chapter 3, page 3-25.

  Personally, I think you could install a SATA II 320 GB to your laptop.  Maybe even a 500 GB.

  You could also probably install a drive of 7 200 rpm for better performance or if the battery life between charges is more important for you, then stick with a disk of 5 400 rpm.

  I do not use homegroups, but 'true' to share, so I don't know how this is supposed to work with homegroups. But usually he should share a drive or folder, first before you can access it from another machine. (for example, click on the drive/folder properties and go to the sharing tab)

  D: is not a partition backup of your machine.

  Acer has a time set up their machines to the way yours is:

  They had a C: drive for the operating system, a drive D: for data (music, movies, etc you would like to register and a recovery partition 'hidden' to reinstall the operating system and to make the recovery discs to do the same thing.)

  You can merge C: and D: as a whole, BUT save all data on D: first because it will be deleted when you merge.
