  • Error when installing SSO 5.5 on the new Machine

    I tried to install VMware vCenter Single Sign-On VMware-VIMSetup-all 5.5.0 - 5.5.0 - 1312299.iso, and like others, I have a problem. I want to install on a VM Windows Server Datacenter 2008 R2 SP1 64 bit new.

The first time I ran the installer, I display Single Sign-On prerequisite vCenter and realized that my network on the new machine settings were a bit off. So I canceled the installation program, fixed my network, started the Setup program again and this time I got the message "DNS resolution is effective."

Then I continued my way. I select "vCenter Single Sign-On for your first server vCenter Server", it starts to install, the State can "configure SSO components... "and then it shows" restoration of action: ", then"vCenter Single Sign-On the Setup Wizard ended prematurely because of an error. "All attempts to install later resulted in the same thing.

I've seen some solutions proposed elsewhere, and I've tried:

    • Rename C:\ProgramData\VMware\CIS to CIS.old
    • Run (VMware-VIMSetup-all-5.5.0-1312299.iso)\Single Sign-On\prerequisites\VMware-python.msi (tried right click menu: repair and also uninstall then install))
    • In 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\VMware, Inc. \VMware Infrastructure', there is no SSOServer

I have attached vim-sso-msi and vminst.log of %TEMP%. I also found a vminst.log of a directory longer % TEMP %; I joined who as vminst - Temp.log too, in the case where it is useful.

Looking at newspapers, in vim-sso-MSI is towards the end:

Does anyone have any ideas on what I can try, or any other information that might help?

So I think that I just found out the real reason, it was a failure. In the above-mentioned documentation, they say that; "" "^-are not valid characters in a password. But they missed a character: space. I was using a space character in my password.

I tried on the setup of a bunch of times. When one of the invalid characters above is used, Setup will continue anyway. And then launching a 1326 in this another log file that I mentioned. Using a space does the same thing. And it's not as if they are not checking the password at all. If you do not meet the complexity requirements in their documentation, then you get this notice:

I don't know why they accept invalid characters in the installation program. And I don't know why they missed listing the space character as a character not valid in their documentation. It is an ASCII character, after all (0x20).

I tried a few other passwords a long time ago, but I think that was before found this documentation, so I used one of the other characters that are not valid. Or maybe I used another invalid character who is undocumented. If the space is not documented as an invalid character, so who knows how many other invalid characters are?

And so I say to all those who believe that they have the same problem I did:

First of all, make sure that it is the same problem. Check that you have found an error code 1326 in the other file vminst.log, located in a directory above %TEMP%. If you can't find a 1326, then you probably have a different problem.

Then, try other passwords. Do not use the documented invalid characters. And keep in mind that there may be other invalid characters without papers.

The password doesn't have to be the same as the password for the local Windows administrator account. Just, it cannot contain invalid characters without papers.

  • Difficult to re - install Acrobat Pro XI on the new computer after disabling it on the old.

I got XI of Acrobat Pro installed on a desktop running Windows 7.  Everything was fine, until I got a new desktop computer, faster (still under Windows 7) so I disabled Acrobat on my old computer, downloaded and installed the same version (Pro XI) on my new computer with the same serial number, and now it does not work.  I get a dialog box titled "serial number Upgrade.  Under the title it says ' serial number you provided is valid, but calling it a product was not found on this computer.

Below that, it tells me to choose one of the following products in a drop-down menu, but Acrobat Pro XI is not one of the selections!

Antlersrob he asks serial number previous version of Acrobat that you upgraded.  You can find your serial number registered under your account at http://www.adobe.com/.  You will find more details in your serial number to find fast - http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/find-serial-number.html.

  • Can I install Adobe Acrobat 8 on the new computer laptop if it is not possible to deactivate on old PC?

I have Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional that I installed on my PC in 2007. My PC has renounced the shadow and the shop where took to a now destroyed the hard drive for me, so I can't disable the software before installing again on my new laptop which has Windows 8. The shop seem to have copied the file shortcut to the new laptop, but nothing else. Can I reinstall without disabling the previous software?

You may be able to make it work. If you have a 64 bit system, as many are today, then you may have more trouble.

If you need to adjust the activation, it is something that must be done with Adobe directly. Two facilities are generally licensed for every copy of Acrobat you have, so you can have a left.

Suppose you manage the installation. The first step is to install the updates (especially for a 64-bit system). You may be able to make updates in the Help menu (assuming that Acrobat opens). If you need to install manually, go to http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=1&platform=Windows and install updates in the order. To download from the most recent backwards, because each update tells you the previous update required for installation. In general, just restart after the update.

To test your system, first check the features of Acrobat and Distiller programs by selecting from the menu of programs (or the Metro interface). If you have a PS file available, check the processing of this file by Distiller to check on the creation of PDF files. Then, try to print from an application to the Adobe PDF printer. If it works, fine. If this is not the case, try a print to a file and open the file in Distiller to create a PDF file. If the printing process is running, then try to WORD or other product of MS that could have the PDF Maker inside. See if you can create a PDF from this application. The only way to know for sure to try it. Adobe does not certify AA8 for Win7 or Win8 as it was not tested. For Win7, several people have reported success.

  • Reader Adobe really slow on the new machine Core-i7

Opening a PDF file is very very slow on my new Windows 7 64-bit machine. The machine is a new Core i7 system with 16 GB of memory

PDF which opens on the other more old pc less than a second take 20 to 30 seconds on this new machine.

The machine has a Radeon R260 graphics card that has been used in the previous machine without any problem. Just to be sure I removed the card and used the embedded graphics to try to eliminate the map but the problem is exactly the same thing must therefore be associated windows.

Reader has been uninstalled and reinstalled with no joy.

The rendering of the image is a problem that when zooming or panning of the image again redraw very slowly (20-30 seconds) each time.

    PC is also very fast.

    Can anyone help?

    Thank you

    VS

Noted that, after that any restart of the first minute or two performance was normal and then suddenly deteriorated on intel integrated and the card Radeon 4000 graphics.

Done a scan with malwarebytes, which has several problems that have been cleared by Malwarebytes and bingo all good now if this question was entirely due to malware on the computer and nothing else.

    I hope this helps someone!

  • How to install CS2 downloaded update on the new Machine Win7

Hi, I have a purchased version and downloaded from CS2 I want to install on my new Win7 computer.  However, I don't see an installer from the package.

    How to install this?

Noel, thanks for stalking me on this subject.

I fear that I had not installed this in so long, I had mistaken for a destination for the PhSp_CS2_UE_Upg folder folder, I have.  I (several copies), and it certainly contains a current setup.exe, should be.

I was about to update to CS5, (I still do), and I was about to reinstall Win7, which I didn't do really, but maybe I did a couple of system restores to try to undo reg entries...   I hope I don't have to, but I do not really right now.

I'm sure it will work.  (I'll wait until tomorrow to install it...  I need a beer...)

Sorry to be frustrated!  I was definitely in the wrong and I appreciate you of course the people stick with me and helping me to understand this.

    See you soon,.

  • I'm having trouble installing Adobe CS5.5 on my new windows laptop 10.

I'm having trouble installing Adobe CS5.5 on my new windows laptop 10.  It seems to download files, but then after half an hour of extraction, I get an error saying: he could not complete.  I had no problem with my desktop computer.  Solution anyone?

Thank you very much for your answers.  I don't know if they would have worked or not because I brought my laptop to work.  My friend tried tech 'run as administrator', but still came with errors.  However, when I installed each individual program software (run as admin) one at a time I managed.  It took a lot more time of course, but I managed to get all the programs downloaded and installed.  So finally my solution to this problem and suggestion of anyone else having this problem are to choose only a piece of the software package to download both and "run as Administrator".
