Re install Realtek NIC Diagnostic tool

How to re install the Realtek NETWORK card Diagnostic tool after upgrading Vista to Windows 7 32 bit?

Hello

Thank you for the update.

However, did you uninstall any anti-virus installed in the system?

Firewall (if Windows or third party) prevent network connections and/or sometimes block installation of the driver or result in a corrupted installation. So, which makes important steps to uninstall the security software (installed everything in the system is) with his removal tool to check if the question is reproduced in a free antivirus system.

To know the different third-party security software removal tools, I'll have the thread below link:

    I tried:

    1. Reinstall the drivers from the Device Manager. For devices and protocols that are down, I get a "file not found error.»  There are files in the directories relavent, but I don't know which files the error codes are referring to.
    2. Reinstall the drivers of HP tools.
    3. Download and install the drivers from the HP website.  When I try to install the driver "Realtek Local Area Network (Lan)" I get an error "Access denied" when the Installer starts trying to write files.  Yes, I use the installer as admin.

It is a real pain to try to fix it, because I have to reboot in linux, whenever I need the network and all of the base network update and diagnostic tools are useless.  Thanks in advance for any help.

That sounds as if it was a failure of induced update. I highly recommend that you do not install updates just because a popup or a message tells you.

If you "found in Windows safe mode," did you survey (in the Device Manager and Event Viewer) to see what it had caused before restarting?

I suggest that perform you a recovery of image factory and then set up your boot double once again in Windows, it works as before. I hope you save your data to the outside.

What do you use for malware, antivirus and firewall protection?

I uninstalled and downloaded a new site of toshiba, but it still does not work.

    Hello

How do you start the PC Diagnostic tool? Start - PROGRAMS-... or with a shortcut on the desktop?

Check the shortcut of your link? Click with the right button of the mouse on it, go to properties and check the location of the main file.

Also, you should check in the C:\programs addressing Explorer PC diagnostics is installed! If you foud it try to start from this destination!

    Try and keep me posted!

  • PC diagnostic tool does not not on Satellite Pro L300

When I try to run the utility Toshiba pcdiag.exe I get an error message.

The details of this message say that the 'fault Module name is KERNEL32.dll.

I uninstalled the utility programs original and downloaded the files updated on the Toshiba site, with the same result - I always get an error message.

This fix is there for that?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

    Hello

Are you using Vista or Win XP OS?

I checked the page European driver of Toshiba and the PC Diagnostic tool has been published only for Win XP.

I think that might have something to do with your Windows operating system installed.
All first as you should check if the PC Diagnostic tool is compatible with your operating system and secondly, you must update the OS before install you this tool.

    Good bye

  • Virus in the diagnostic tools on Office file

Recently, I noticed that my pc guards came and said I had a virus, I did a full scan and it said: I had some viruses, two were in the files and I deleted them, they were related to my norton files because my norton was obsolete, since I installed norton antivirus and it does not pick up my problem.

On my desk in my toshiba in my diagnostic tool files, one of the files has the virus as my bodyguard of the pc tells me that I opened the page, it's in my files\toshiba\pc cd rom file test.exe diag program don't know if I can delete it will do damage?

If I can't return the file somehow?
I think I deleted the file just above her too, as he had the same problem, and cannot test that now that there is no file, help needed please, what would u?

    Hello

Usually, you can use the System Restore tool to roll back the OS to the beginning.

But you should always update the antivirus applications as an anti-virus software that are not updated will not help you remove all viruses and will not protect against any virus attack.

I recommend using additional programs like adware and antispy.

    Hi motti,.

I even checked the site Web of Toshiba Satellite A300 and Windows 7. It seems that PC diagnostic tool is only available for Windows XP. I can t he find for Vista and Windows 7.

I think that's the reason. You must download VAP now that it contains.

  • Diagnostic PC Toshiba tool shows not all components in the Diagnostic tool

    Hello

I recently had some problems with my Satellite A200 laptop computer screen freezes, do not restart correctly after hibernation and battery warnings displayed even if it is still plugged into the mains to low. When I get battery it will eventually die. I jumped the battery - put new - turned the laptop on - and the battery is at full capacity! Anyway, I've updated the BIOS and I tried to run the diagnostic tool to see if it no problem. Problem is there is that anything posted in the Diagnostics tab to test!

Any help would be much appreciated.

Toshiba PC Diagnostic tool is part of the package of added value, so you can try to reinstall VAP.
You can find on Toshiba support and download page.

Remove pre-installed VAP, restart your computer and install the latest version of the Toshiba page.

  • I hear the ticking in the hard drive, but diagnostic tool (S.M.A.R.T) says his health.

Pavilion p6010in Desktop for 3 years using (product number: NC875AA #ACJ), for a few months, I hear the ticking in my hard drive, I suspect that it is its failure of hard drive, but my diagnostic tool (SMART) explains his good health.

Sound indicates a problem. I also use Ubuntu 12.04 with vista (even ubuntu says that the disc is in good health).

I'm confused why the sound is similar to a click of death as seen in the link (my hard drive Seagate Barracuda 500 GB) below

Seagate desktop with heads of default drive get stolen, then clicking sound.

Please tell me what I should do now. I also Plan to upgrade to Windows 8 (I won't use Ubuntu anymore).

I suggest you replace your hard drive before the upgrade to avoid all these problems. The new hard drive should be the same size or larger that one you have for the recovery discs to work properly. Install Windows 8 on the new hard drive.

Once Windows 8 has been installed successfully make a new set of recovery disc for Windows 8 so that if everything fails, you can the recovery disc restores on Windows 8.

  • What is 5.1.4861.15 hardware diagnostic tools

What is 5.1.4861.15 hardware diagnostic tools

    Hi Floyd,

If I am right, it is actually PC-doctor, Inc. Hardware Diagnostic tool which is distributed by some computer program of PC Doctor OEM manufacturers.  The number seems to be a somewhat older version (possibly published with XP systems).  They still do and I have versions for XP, Vista and even Windows 7. If you have upgraded your operating system, the program may or may not work more.  It doesn't seem to be something that you can buy directly (and I don't think that it can be upgraded) - but your computer manufacturer might be able to say more about it.

Here is the current information on Program OEM's PC Doctor: http://www.pc-doctor.com/pcd_windows.php.  I know that HP and Compaq and Acer and Fujitsu used and can still - and I saw obsolete links and now gone listed this specific version of the program on their systems - but none of their websites discuss the version even if some do not discuss the existence of a program of diagnostics of equipment and how to use it.  Here is an example: If the computer is running XP so that it looks like this (unfortunately not a download link, just info): tests for hardware problems using PC-Doctor - HP Customer Care (United States - English).

I don't think that it is malware - if I'm wrong.  If your manufacturer says that it was never installed on your computer, so I guess it's possible, but I found only about above it and no mention of all malware related.  In any case, if it was never installed on the system by the manufacturer, then I would probably not use it and may even consider uninstalling just to be on the safe side.  If it has been installed by the manufacturer, try running it to see if it provides you with hardware diagnostic information.  If it crashes or fails to run if you have an operating system upgraded from the original installed OS, then it is probably not compatible and I would just uninstall it as it will be of no use and cannot be upgraded (unless the manufacturer provides one, but it is unlikely) and is just too much room.

Yet, it can't hurt to run some checks for malicious programs.  Update and run a scan complete with your current AV program.  Then, try the following programs if you do not, because they can help. I recommend you download, install, update and run full scans with Malwarebytes:http://www.malwarebytes.org/ and SuperAntiSpyware:http://superantispyware.com/ and then run a full scan of Microsoft Security:http://www.microsoft.com/security/default.aspx.  If they are all come clean and do not show this as a problem, then I would say it is more likely is not malware and don't worry in this regard.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Pavilion p6537: 6.0.5418.39 Hardware Diagnostic tools

After the upgrade to Windows 10, my monthly hardware diagnostic tool did not work. Received a device discovery error suggesting I restart the program or restart my computer. I performed two operations and diagnostic tool still does not work.  Would that be the upgrade of Windows 10 or just a corrupted file?  Never had a problem with this tool before.
