Re: Oops! I bought an HP computer

-Support the minimum drivers

-limited restore disk

-noisy cards ATI video, who overheat, lag and freeze

-mobos without support of the manufacturer driver

-fragile, cooling systems

-Low power supplies

-unknown, waves during normal use cooling fan

-limit the USB connectors

-capacity expansion, or upgrade will require immediate buying a new video card and power.  Then of course you will need to replace the mobo because you will need the chipset drivers unless you decide to use Windows 7, but remember that the recovery disk is not an operating system, so you need to purchase Windows 7, if you replace the motherboard or you want to re - install the OS for some reason any.

-etc etc it would be curly and exhausting to continue...

It seems, all considered, the only good thing on any HP computer is the choice of the average quality APU or CPU.  Otherwise, the rest of the computer, excluding the cool cases, not worth.  I'm really disappointed in HP because I wanted to replace my existing HP.  Well good at the store he's going.  Technical support is a joke

Initially, my Phoenix came with a 550Ti. I already had my Evga Superclocked GTX 560 to my old older system. AMD Phenom II X 4 925, 4 GB of ram ddr2, 500 GB hard drive. So, I took the new 550Ti of Phoenix and put it in the old. Took the 560 and put it in my Phoenix. So, I had trouble to update. The Ti 550 is enough for the games below 1080 p. 1600 x 900 and less is perfect for this card. But I game in 1080 p and needed more punch. That's why the GTX 560 went. Kepler concerning the upgrade to a new card. Its because I can and want to. You can order them even now in a new Phoenix if you wish. But I want an Evga GTX 680 FTW edition. And if you think that XP is more secure then 7. You have lost any credibility you may have had.

I recently bought a new computer. I didn't have to transfer my itunes library or return it high and ended up to the top of the deletion of my library on my ipod. I was able to recover the purchased music, but is it possible to recover the music burned to a CD?

Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not that a transfer backup device and media has been planned with you keep a master copy of your media on a computer that is in itself independently supported against loss.  To use a device with a different configuration, you pass the old library from a computer or a backup directly in the new configuration, not the device to the library. Synchronization of media isn't a way, computer to the device, update the contents of the device to the content on the computer, update or restore the content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchases that can be transferred to a computer.

Redownload or transfer your iTunes Store purchases an iPhone, iPad or iPod to computer - https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201267 - 'this feature only works for content purchased from the iTunes Store. From iOS9 is more apps that now need to be re-downloaded directly from the store.

To transfer other items from an i-device to a computer, you will need to use third-party commercial software.  See this document in turingtest2: recover your iTunes library from your iPod or device iOS - https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3991 even this method can fully recover what you originally had in the library. For example, in order to save space during synchronization if you had converted music files at a lower rate, or photos at a lower resolution, it is these lower quality files that will pick you up.

If you subscribe to the Apple music, titles that are not part of the content that you have purchased or downloaded may not be transferred and must be downloaded directly from iCloud.

I bought a used computer, and now it says my windows are not valid. Is there anyway to find the product key for my windows program? Or make my windows valid without spending money? I'm a musician who was struggling.

To analyze and solve problems for Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag tool
(download and save to the desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )
    Once saved, run the tool.
Click on the button continue, which will produce the report.
To copy the report in your response, click the button copy in the tool (ignore the error at this stage), and then paste (using r-click and paste or Ctrl + V) in your response.

  • Bought a new computer with no phone jack. You want to connect a land line to use the phone.

I recently bought a new computer with no phone jack. I want to connect a landline to him if I can use my phone. Is there a way, or the thing I can buy so it's possible. A usb modem would work in this situation for me?

waylonx3 wrote: Compaq - Presario Desktop model: CQ5600Y

Hello waylonx3, here is the link for the specifications of your system. It shows that your system has 2 slots, PCIe and a PCI slot.

Your system should be able to use one of these modems of type. I would check the motherboard of the system to make sure that you have a PCI slot or available PCIe and then you can order one that will work in your system.

Here is a link to Amazon, where you can see some phone PCIe and PCI modems. They also appear in other places.

  • I bought a new computer with Windows 7 free upgrade. We also have another office.

I bought a new computer with Windows 7 free upgrade. We also have another desktop computer. My son has paid and downloaded Windows 7 Home Premium on this computer (Asus), not knowing that I had the free update. ASUS sent me free upgrade disks. Can I use these on another desktop computer? Or I can download Windows on another desktop computer and transfer my registration to it, and then use the Asus drives on this computer?

Your question has nothing to do with the functionality of Windows Update (vs Windows upgrade), Jan.

That being said, Asus only can answer your specific question. Good luck!

Best to make a/Clean Custom installation of XP. Never can tell what the unwanted (like viruses) may exist.

    (1) Note the make and model of your computer.

    (2) check that the 25-character product key is always fixed to the case or at the bottom of your laptop.

    3) go to the support of the manufacture web site and know what "F" key, you will need to press on when the computer starts, run a reinstallation of XP (or use the recovery media if you have a).

    (4) reinstall XP and create a new user account. Note: If you use the support CD of 'Recover' you will need to re-enter the product key to activate Windows.

Put the .pst file from your old machine on a USB key with sufficient capacity or burn it to a CD - R. Copy the .pst to your new computer. Place it in your directory My Documents.

Open Outlook on the new computer and set up your email accounts. Get the settings from the server of your Internet service provider's Web site if you do not know. There is usually a tutorial to set up different email clients.

    MVP Hal Hostetler:

    1. When you copy the. Your old HD to the new PST file, place it in a folder where it will NOT overwrite any existing. PST files; crush one. PST file that is in use can cause profile corruption.

All you need to do is open Outlook on the new machine, go into "file |" Open | Outlook data file ", browse to your old." PST, and then click OK.  You now have access to all your old data.
