  • Installation of Acrobat using the CCP, a white program entry package

    Hi all

I'm trying to install Acrobat Pro XI using a package created on CCP as Creative Cloud Admin, but if I run the exe or msi, I get a program entry but no package or install.

The installer is de-energized just as he finished without error.

To add... the installer falls at the stage of the "collection of information".

In addition... I have used CCP (same credentials, same workstation) to create a package for Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and bridge. This action executes fine and install all the applications.

    Any advice would be welcome.

    Thank you

This is a known issue.  You must install the Acrobat MSI in the Exceptions folder with a specific command line, then the Creative Cloud MSI Packager on Windows.

  • ApplicationDescriptor and program entry points

    Hi all

I'm working on a program that has auto-calendrier itself for future execution. I thought that the method

ApplicationManager.getApplicationManager () .scheduleApplication () can be used to achieve the functionality. However, one question remains.

A special flag must be set before every time my works app in auto on demand so I think that the auto-schduled app should start with another point of entry - lets say the main is called with the arugument 'autoSchedule' in this case.

I already have two entry points into the program - one for bootime and an ordinary execution. Now I want to call the autoSchedule enty point from the startup entry point. I don't know how to do this - basically not to know how get the ApplicationDescriptor required to call the scheduleApplication method.

Anyone have any suggestions here? Thank you.

Modules can have multiple ApplicationDescriptors associated with it. You can see if you look on your device and go through the modules in the application options. For example, the net_rim_bb_messaging_app has the following Applications below:

    Messages

    SavedMessages

    SearchMessages

ApplicationDescriptor.currentApplicationDescriptor () returns the ApplicationDescriptor associated with the current process that you run your own application in most cases. If you use the call to CodeModuleManager to get a table, you generally will just grab the first clue.

    Hi Michael,

I have the same problem, such as shown in your first screenshot. I called support because I was not able to carry out any investigation or the other and they notified me that the "program name" has removed the view as a result of an earlier version. He said that they are working on a solution but that you don't have any ETA. The real problem is on our side, we can not even match the program ID, even if we open each program one by one. The good news is that support eloqua can. If you call them with a list of ID program, they can let you know what the names are.

    Eloqua,

Please correct this as soon as possible, as we administrators are flying blind here. Its been a harder task.

  • Vista application virtual truck program

Please please please can someone help me...! I have Vista and every time I connect it asks me to insert the CD to the virtual truck program. I think it's something to do with a bad installation of my Virgin Media broadband, but I can ' find this program (or anything related to it on the start program (she even if the good place to watch).)

Is there anyone who can point me in the right direction, as I obviously have no clue as to what I'm doing! x

In my opinion there must be a virtual truck program entry that tries to start this application every time after startup.
Think you need to change your msconfig and remove the entry for him.

    Also check out two places on the HARD drive;
-Startup folder delete Vtruck from there.
-HDD-> windows-> program files->-> remove a file from the temporary folder. There are maybe two called recovery of reboot.exe

    Good luck

  • Why did Adobe Flash Player 10 Activex appear twice in Add/Remove programs?

I tried this request in an Adobe forum but got no answer. I use Windows XP SP3. When I go into Control Panel Add / Remove Programs, I see that Adobe Flash Player 10 Activex appears twice. Same name and both show the last time that I acceded to them was 14/08/2010. The second one is slightly different because it shoes 2.42 MB in size. Why the duplication? Can I delete one? Besides, if it has not been used since August of last year, do I need at all?

Information on "Last use" and "size" in Add/Remove programs are notoriously inaccurate.

Each of the Adobe Flash Player uninstaller from Add/Remove Programs entries.

Open Windows Explorer and go to C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash

The current Flash ActiveX control is Flash10s.ocx.  There are several other auxiliary files as well.  If there are any files with the previous letters after 10 (e.g., Flash10p.ocx), delete them.

Go to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ to download the current version.

The problem this presents, although perhaps minor but annoying, however, is that programs that were on the second disc appear on the Add/Remove Programs list, accessed via the Control Panel, even if they are no longer really exist on the system. Is there a good way to clean the list add/remove program entries for programs that have been lost and never be recovered due to a failure of hard drive like that? Also, are there any other proceedures recommended to clean all traces of system programs that have been lost in this way? Try to remove the traces of these programs using the Add/Remove list does not of course because the entries in the list of reference locations and files that no longer exist.

Download ccleaner from piriform. Click Tools > uninstall. Highlight the entries that appear, but is really installed. Then choose Delete. Reformatting is an extreme measure for a simple issue resloved. Regarding running the ccleaner registry cleaning tool, that I personally used for several years without a single incident. This does not apply to all the registry tools however.

  • Configurator can deploy more apps?

    Hello

You can use configurator to deploy applications more once you have all your iPads travel configurator to prepare them for the students? I know that you can add that app and re deal throughout the Configurator, but since its manual and we 100...  I can't find a Yes or no answer. But I guess we use CASPER, which is fine, but I want to just make sure I understand all the steps and where to draw the line between the 2 packs.

    Thank you

    Stuart

With that many iPads, you need to use something like Casper. You can push individual applications, update individual applications (or block them until this that tested), control updates to iOS, install restrictions and have even an internal "app store", which allows users to install only applications that you trust. For the best, you must be enrolled in the program entry Device (PED) and be a customer of the purchase Volume (VPP) program. Then, you can buy but many copies of an application you need with a single Apple ID and assign to individual devices or make them accessible to all devices. You can also use systems such as Casper to give access to enterprise applications that built your organization.

  • Change or update Image NetRestore

    Hello world

I am assistant Head of a corporate IT average, we run around 80-90 Mac here, are close enough all day or running at least Yosemite.

From now on, we set up the new machines using a Carbon Copy Cloner Image that we did a while, where we can start to leave and then copy it to the local drive of the computer. We do this by the USB bus. So we connect the clone, which is just a simple SSD, via USB for the new Mac, the image that contains a ton of software and startup settings and then copy only with the also in the Carbon Copy Cloner local drive preinstalled image.
This works like a charm, and when we need to update the clone, simply connect us via USB to any Mac and then run software updates installed or change the settings and once we're done we just stopped, and it is ready to be cloned.

Now we wan't to change NetRestore to it. I managed to test different scenarios using system image utility, simply create an image of NetRestore and that deployment on NetInstall. It works fine, but the big problem here is that if we need to update this image, or change a setting to write completely a new image every time and it takes time because we must always connect the SSD Clone to a mac and then write the new image that Mac and copy it into our machine deployment. So my question is, and I'm sure that other people have asked this question before, but I have not really found an answer so far: can start you somehow NetRestore, without restoring, OR image, can you create a NetBoot Image, initiate that updated the NetBoot image and then CONVERTING the NetBoot into NetRestore image image? In my opinion, what would make the most sense, so we can always decide to NetBoot in the NetBoot image, change and update the stuff and then just convert that image NetRestore that is copied to the machine.

I know that there are deploy Studio, but * I was not able to understand a single simple thing about this app, it's more complicated...

Thanks for your replies, maybe someone knows the best way to handle this!

    See you soon

I'll throw my thoughts in the arena.

NetInstall is a great technology for a handful of very specific situations.  As you have discovered, it is not remarkably flexible when it comes to create images.  If you use hard drives traditionally create or capture images, you prefer to do the day after.  If you are subnet'ed you have hoops to jump through.  If you want to make a lot of changes... Well it takes a lot of time.

However, for environments that have stable or images which frequently must features reimage (laboratories, schools, test gear, etc.), NetRestore is a great technology, which allows quick reset of the device with a few requirements.  After all, what good configuration, simply hold the key N and walk.

But these are not your needs.

You can create a mixed solution.  You can create a master NetRestore image is all you need until a certain date.  Then, you can create an image only Package that can include all your patches and updates.  It's much easier to create and recreate an image of the operating system.  The flow of work would go like this.  Day 1, you snap your final image.  Day 2, a new Flash Player and Firefox are released to create you a package only image containing these two updates.  Day 3, you have a few re-frame machines.  If you NetBoot first image of NetRestore, fixing this OS perfect, built you.  Then, once the machine is running, you net boot in the single image of the package and apply the additional patches.

This mixed model still has holes.  For example, the end of 2015 iMac.  They can only start 10.11.1 or higher.  If you have created a master image, which has been 10.11.0, you would not be able to clone the iMac.  This is with the latest Mac Book Pro.  Then require 10.10.5 or hight.  A 10.10.3 master image, so that it can be cloned to the machine cannot start it.  Oh, and then there's firmware that Apple keeps hiding in the updates to the OS.  If you monolithiquement cloning, there is a good chance that you do not get the required firmware on the devices.  There are ways around this, but nothing provided by Apple.

Now, at 80-90 Mac, you are a candidate for JAMF.  JAMF is a tool that can supplant many of your manual processes and many tools from Apple.  In addition, you can search program entry Device (PED) Apple, especially if you treat devices like the BYOD systems, pushing IT responsibility on the end user.  If you follow the path JAMF, simply use on recruitment policies to deliver your software and stack parameters.  Basically, you register the device and then the menu of items are delivered.  Your job is to keep this menu to update.  The devices will then follow the script, do whatever you want to put back in the correct order.

There is also AutoDMG.  I haven't touched on this in a long time, but it could be what you are looking to keep a master image to update.  You still need to do this periodically capture a picture NetRestore.

And to finally achieve, there is nothing "wrong" with what you do.  If it works for you, then why break?  There is something very elegant on a cloning machine to another and it works.  Doing this on a large scale is magically ("wait, you loan 100 devices in one day?")  However, be aware that some items should not be cloned, as mattes, newspapers, local KDC, sleeping images, saving state app, etc..  Before cloning, you should prepare the master (or clean the clone before starting) to purge the additional items.

Hope this helps in the thought process.  Not really respond to or send you one way.  More giving you additional options to consider.

  • Windows is not inviting them to download pictures from the iphone

It worked... the last month but now when I connect my 5 Iphone to my computer iTunes opens, but he is not ready to do anything for the photos.

The iphone does not show under "computer" shut up... it displays an icon for «icloud photos»

I want to just save the photos from my phone to a folder in my pictures... as I always!

    Always Windows XP btw

Well, it seems that this has to do with the end of support for Windows XP... will not be device drivers up-to-date.

I doubt that, unless you're referring to updates of the driver through Windows Update, that you should NEVER accept for XP.  For Windows XP, an update of the driver should only be downloaded since then, either site of the manufacturer of your computer (e.g., Dell, HP, Lenovo) or the website of the manufacturer of the hardware in question, for example, Apple.

If iTunes recognizes the phone but the phone does not appear in my computer or Windows Explorer (really the same thing), the problem is likely to be something wrong with AppleMobileDeviceHelper.exe AppleMobileDeviceService.exe or another part of the iTunes installation package.

I suggest you uninstall iTunes as follows, then download and install the latest version:

To perform a 'clean' of iTunes installation use this technique proposed, taken from the Apple bandages HT 1925 and HT1926.  (If you are using Vista, see THIS instead).

Go to control panel > Add/Remove programs
Remove these applications in the following order (do not restart your computer if you are prompted during this process):

    1. iTunes (if other program entries were listed for iTunes in Add / Remove Programs, remove these establishments)
    2. iPod Updater (if present)
    3. Apple Software Update
    4. Apple Mobile Device Support
    5. Hello
    6. Application of Apple Support (iTunes 9 or later)
    7. iPod for Windows (this may or may not exist, be it, it is not necessary, then we can remove it)
    8. QuickTime

Open my computer > C: > Program Files
    Delete these files (if present)

    1. iPod
    2. iTunes
    3. Hello
    4. Common Apple
    5. QuickTime

Follow these steps if the message "cannot delete iPodService.exe: it is used by another person or program" appears when you try to delete the folder of the iPod.

    1. Make sure that you have iTunes and iPod Update utility are not open.
    2. Press Ctrl-Alt-Delete.
    3. Select Start Task Manager.
    4. Click the processes tab.
    5. Locate the iPodService.exe in the list.
    6. IPodService.exe-click and choose end process.
    7. Quit Task Manager.

    Empty your temp directory:
Open my computer > C: > Documents & Settings > username > Local Settings and delete the contents of the folder called "Temp".

If you don't see the local settings, enable hidden files:
Tools > Folder Options > view tab
Select Show Hidden Files & folder, and then click OK

Once this file is empty, restart the computer

NOTE: If you have trouble uninstalling applications, or if you have a problem, reinstall iTunes because the installer complains that it can not uninstall the current version of iTunes, see the 'Installation issues' section below.

Download & reinstall iTunes from here: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

    Installation problems

There are several tools to deal with problems installing or uninstalling applications.  If you have these problems, the following should help.  Before using one of these tools (including #3), you must create a restore point from the system first (or back up the registry with C:\WINDOWS\ERUNT).  See http://windowsxp.mvps.org/registry.htm a complete disk image would be safer if you have this ability.

1 Microsoft has a program install and the resolution of the problems of the uninstalling which is supposed to "work better" and be "safer" to use the old Install Cleanup Utility (3 below).

    2. free Revo Uninstaller.  You can also download a trial version of uninstaller Revo's ' Pro', which has a few more aggressive cleaning options, but this should not be necessary.

3 Microsoft Windows Install Cleanup Utility.  Although this tool has been the preferred tool to deal with the problems of Windows Installer, Microsoft removed from Microsoft download servers because it seems sometimes deleted more than he was supposed to (I believe this was linked to Office uninstall).  You can still get Windows Installer Cleanup here--> http://majorgeeks.com/Windows_Installer_CleanUp_Utility_d4459.html utility

  • Win XP - Renesas uPD720201 USB 3.0 Host Controller - does not not :(

    Hi all

I need help because I have problems getting my new usb 3.0 PCIe card to work.

Basically, I myself had this USB 3.0 PCIe card (so can finally have the best on-the-go transfer speeds).

It establishes he needs a "slot PCI-Express must be version 2.0 or later" to get the USB 3 speed of 5 Gbps; otherwise version 1 will be limited to 2.5 GB/s.

I have the Asus P6T motherboard that has:

    2 x PCIe 2.0 x 16 (dual x 16, blue)
    1 x PCIe 2.0 x 16 (x 4, white mode)
    1 x PCIe x 1
    2 x PCI

    This image will help you.

My understanding of this is that I have a small white that is version 1 (directly under the first blue PCI - E version 2), where my graphics card is installed. The following PCIe which is version 2 is the following under small white (big one blue) by another white to x 4. I have installed PCIe card in the "PCIe 2.0 x 16 (x 4, white mode). I've also attached the required SATA power cable. I can't install the USB connector before (19 pins) as my current case uses USB 2.0. Fix the case it has front usb 3.0 in the future.

For after this forum, I installed the card properly. Is this correct?

I think it's okay, because the red light of PCIe card seems lit inside my case AND (b) because I can see the USB 3.0 controller host listed in the Device Manager.

However, when I connect my usb 3.0 flash memory stick scandisk, it's the blue light flashes but in Windows XP > My Compputer device does not appear?

I try in my USB 2.0 and it is formatted in FAT32 and also works perfectly fine, so I know it isn't my USB pen.

I use the 3.0.23.0 driver version

I don't know about the firmware.

Thanks in advance for any help on this.

    Hi all

To inform, I got it to work. Had to update the firmware, but could only do by installing the PCIe card in the first small PCIe slot.

Here is a link to the firmware update (only worked in Internet Explorer for me).

You can also download the driver to date since there too.

After the firmware update, I uninstalled the driver (using the Add/Remove Programs entry). Shut down the PC. Moved the PCIe card in the greatest location PCIe which is version 2.

Thanks for the other tips if ever less.
