There is no question beast just dumb response. The recovery CD with Windows XP Professional and all the necessary drivers, tools and utilities.

Poor performance on Tecra T9100
Hi my Tecra t9100 runs very slow even if theres no activity, Windows Task Manager watching > taskmgr.exe process is active and takes the largest part of the treatment. Performance > historical usage CPU running at about 95 to 100% which gives very little idle system.

On this path, it is not easy to say why the performance is so bad. I have a unit in my office with 512 MB of RAM and it works well. I sometimes use it for graphic editing, and there is no problem at all.
Each unit's individual configured and preinstalled. I recommend you to check all running processes. I noticed that many antivir tools are responsible for slow laptop performance. Disable all unnecessary processes and on this way, the CPU will be more power for other applications.

Yep, those are the steps I've tried. Then it gives me an error code 80070057 #. I tried with two different CD/DVD burners to ensure it wasn't a burner problem.
Now, since the announcement, I found another recovery option that seems to work:
1. tap search in the bar of charms.
2. Type "Recovery" and then press on to find settings
3. click on 'create a disc of Recvovery '.
4. follow the steps in this wizard.
This creates a recovery USB disk. I still prefer to have a CD through the utility to backup WIndows 7 and recovery screen, but I hope this recovery USB will work as well.

To replace a damaged hard drive, I did the following:
(1) I created the factory installed Win 7 files disks (4 in total).
(2) wiped my drives (not formatted, but wiped) for the safety of the disposal.
(3) replaced the old HD with the new HD with the same capacity.
(4) restoration process began. After formatting around 82%, the Recovery Manager ejected the disc #4 and claimed disk #5.
I don't have a disc number #5! What happened and how do I fix it?
(After reading the tips, I checked the discs for my model HP option controls.) The set of recovery disks is also 4 disks).

I understand that you had only four recovery disks created from the system, but the recovery request a fifth disc.
It calls for disk 5 or additional disk? In all cases, the discs that you have done do not work and there is no way to change the files that are actually on this drive to change what he asks at the end of the disc.
I think that the best option would be to contact HP for a set of factory recovery discs sent to you. These discs were made specifically for this system and should work without any problems. To put it bluntly, YOU n 'T NEED a KEY! When you reinstall Windows 8, it is automatically activated from your key incorporated in the Bios. There is no need for to go you into the Bios to get the key. With Windows 8, it is how it is done. Hope this helps and if you need another post to help and we will be happy to help you.

Recovery disk Tecra M2 installs but happens with incomplete installation
Tecra M2 worked fine, it's a good little machine without running out of space.
I tried to install a new drive HARD 160 GB (Seagate) was 60 GB (Hitachi).
I used the recovery on the new HARD drive disk, it formats the drive sets up XP Professional, gets that me recorded by Microsoft OK, but when the laptop wants to run Windows it bombards gives me a blue screen ('dumping' memory etc.).
When the laptop reboots, in "Safe Mode" message pops up that the 'Installation was incomplete. Re-install Setup.

Anyway, what you can try is to get somewhere original Microsoft installation disc and try to fix it using the REPAIR option.
