Re: Satellite A200 - 1 M 4 microphone internal?
Hi all and experts of Toshiba...
pls help me toshiba a200 1 m 4A internal microphone... ?
Thank you...
You need an expert advice from Toshiba? Well, this is a user to user forum, and there is no Toshiba experts but only simple user like me and you... ;)
If I'm not mistaken the Satellite A200 - 1 M 4 belongs to the series of PSAE0E. Some of the A200 were delivered with the internal webcam and if the webcam is available then the internal microphone should be present.
Simply said the internal microphone depends on the webcam!
Best regards

The built-in microphone depends on the webcam.
As far as I know, the Satellite A200-27R PSAE3E was not equipped with an internal webcam and so the internal microphone is not available.Try to use an external headset or just simple microphone.

Satellite A200 - internal mic has background noises
Hello
Description: Internal microphone with full boost, and volume has background noise. By reducing its levels, it has insufficient gain to drive Skype etc, so the only viable solution is to use front mic. Have you tried several MICS known for work on the other PC.
Logbook - sometimes when its clogged, the front mic back, is the only micro displayed, but his level is very low with settings on full boost, and volume, is hardly audible; It is not set to mute. Sometimes the settings panel shows two microphones with works front and internal as well as external. EG remove the front plate near mic and it responds.I am a hardware engineer and it does not appear to be linked to the defective mic connector on the front. Both the A200 is relatively new. Also, I've seen similar to this Google search topics, but no one had their similar fault solved.
His may be a hardware problem, but given the bizarre behavior of two microphones working with trendy front in and sometimes not, it tends to suggest a driver problem. But I installed the latest driver, I could find: driver Realtek SA200-SM200-RealtekHD-6.0.1.5406-Vis64-Vis32.exeI do not ask questions, because it's my job to solve PC problems, but this one has really left me speechless.
Kind regards

Hello
Which is really strange and I can only say that my girlfriend has a Satellite A200 too but she doesn't have any problems with the internal mic. She uses the microphone for MSN and Skype, for example, but without any problems.
In any case, have you tried with the factory settings? I mean the Windows Vista preinstalled with all the drivers and tools of Toshiba. Normally with these settings, all should properly.
Additionally, make sure that you have installed the latest BIOS for your laptop.Welcome them

Satellite A200 - headphone and microphone works do not (Win XP)
I have fully operational Windows XP with all works very well. However, today I tried to connect a microphone to the computer, the software noticed, muted the internal speakers, but it is there no sound in headphones whatever I do. I tried if the microphone is well only to find out I have the same problem - the software realtek notice me, I plugged a microphone, but does record no sound.
I would be most grateful for any help.
Are you sure you checked all necessary settings?
I m not Satellite A200 owner but I have a similar Satellite A series and I installed the two OS (Vista & XP) on my HARD drive.
Of my knowledge you should check the settings of the sound options & audio different microphone.
In Control Panel, you will find the Sound & audio devices. Choose it!
Then select the Audio tab. That could be sound recording of area that provides information on possible devices for sound recording.
First of all, you should check if the Volume settings are defined at a higher level.
Then check if a right device has been selected (in my case it s a Realtek HD audio input).Tab another voice (almost), you can test the record too much voice. This could be very useful to check if the microphone is working correctly
Please do!Good bye

Installing the program on HDD internal 2 on the Satellite A200 - 28 p
Hello world
Can someone help me? My pc has 3 discs apparently (this is a Satellite A200 - 28 p) and when I do a disk defragment it says that there are 3 a windows and c and d. Now, my query is can I install programs on the d drive I have recovery discs so guess that means that this drive is empty, as says that there 91.5 GB free of 91.6 Go.
Does that mean so I can install programs on there, as have a print program of photo that is large enough and would be helpful if could install and a few other programs that use everyday, but like here when needed, on this other drive leaving my C drive for my Sims 2 games stuff and the stuff of Vista by default so that was a great help here before asking if everyone help me out my technical skills are basically could :-(zéro
But I'm willing to learn, and as it says this laptop comes with a think that means 120 GB HDD can use either but I wanted to check before tried anything that either don't want to take the risk of ruin if it's a recovery drive and not a single one of my personal programs.
Thank you so much to anyone who can help me with this question that wish had more technical knowledge.
Debbie (Simreaper)
Hi Debbie,.
I don't know what you mean to have three readers, it is indeed very strange for display in the Defragmenter, so for now will be only concerns on your C and D drives only (which should be fine). you said you have the recovery disc for the computer, in which case do not any space on the drives reserved for recovery (as in the case of some laptops Toshiba-no).
I would recommend only for purposes of recovery, to make a backup of all important data and settings on a separate DVD a regular and make sure that you have a factory DVD Toshiba-state recovery (i.e. one that is in the box when you bought the computer), or one that Toshiba has prompted you to do it yourself. You can also use software such as Acronis to create an easy to maintain the recovery point. I recommend you stick with a recovery DVD and a backup of all your work and folders however to get a clean install/recovery.
In terms of where to install your photo program/sims2 game, it is to you. As C is the primary drive the primary partition has the best performance on drives C and D. This is why I recommend to leave all your files of program out there and let the D drive for files/applications/games that you do not use as much. You could integrate the storage space of drives C and D in C only, but it's a little too complicated to explain here.
I hope this helps.

Satellite A350 microphone internal problem with Skype
Hello
I have a strange problem with the internal mic. If I use the registration option window, the microphone works. Although not large, static noise. But if I use Skype with the internal microphone, it is hardly. Only very soft background noise.
As much, I know that this is not the problem of the Skype software, I tested Skype on different systems. If I plug in an external microphone it all works.
I have windows vista installed and a microphone internal realtek.I have Toshiba send back for repair, but only replaced the microphone.
Any ideas?Have you checked the sound settings in Windows? The microphone volume is perhaps not at the highest level.
In addition, you can also change the volume of the microphone in Skype.

Micro does not work on a Satellite A200-1 of body weight
Hello
My laptop is a Satellite A200-1 body weight, bought in September 2007 (still under warranty). Since I bought it, it seems that the microphone does not work well.
When I chat with yahoo messenger, people hear my voice clearly, although I speak aloud.
I tried to reinstall the driver of sound realtek high definition, and also other web found here.
I tried to use speech recognition, but the light also does not move and try to pass the front mic failure and vice versa, the result is about the same. What actually happens? Could this be a hardware problem?
Thank you for your help
For me it s not a fault.
A hardware problem or a software problemThe fact is that some of the A200 are delivered with the internal webcam and the internal mic belongs to this cam, that one of my friends talked me using the internal cam and MIC and the sound is great.
He changed the sound settings in Skype and settings audio mic Vista and it of ok now. -
I need to hear my MIC volume in the speakers-Satellite A200 - 1ñ3
Hello
I have Toshiba Satellite A200-1ñ3
I changed to Windows XP. I got all the drivers & BIOS. Everything works fine except for 1 small thing, but it's annoying me insofar as I can change the laptopMy MIC volume does not appear in the output!
I use both the internal and external microphone, two of them does not work properly in the record or in the Chat, but I need the microphone volume to be audible in the forums!
Sometimes I connect the CD or the volume of the TV to the laptop to record a program on my PC. It records properly but I need to hear the TV show or song that I recorded during the recording process itself.I got 5 laptops computers & before, each of them even underground brands the opportunity to listen to the MIC voice through the speakers of the PC. But TOSHIBA does not give me that.
I hope that someone help me in this.

I think that's not possible on my laptop this function doesn t exist.

Two sound related queries on Satellite A200
Hi all
First of all, I accidentally deleted the built in microphone from the list of devices for registration on laptop Satellite A200. Any ideas on how I can restore it?Secondly, I often play audio files from the laptop through an external speaker using taking spdif on the front of the machine. I have noticed, especially when the laptop is running off the battery voltage, which if playback is stopped a moment, then restarted the sound takes a minute or two to get through.
The card internal sound has some kind of capability (turns off during periods of non-use) of economy of energy and if so is in any case to turn off this function and keep the audio live permanently.TIA,
Ross
Hi Ross
Try to use the System Restore tool. I just hope that, on this way, you will be able to use the microphone again.
To be honest, this power of the card its economy capacity is unclear to me. -

I found this: http://uk.eetgroup.com/i/K000054980-Toshiba-Mainboard-W-O-CPU
other models?Thank you very much!
All this is not so simple, and I think it can be quite problematic.
Each laptop model has the specific part number. All laptops with the same part number have identical hardware and hardware components.
Your A200 PSAE6E part number so you can use the motherboard of each A200 model with this part number.Check eBay. You will find lots of older Toshiba laptops and I imagine you can find parts for your machine.

Satellite A200-1 body weight does not start
Hello
I have a Toshiba Satellite A200-1BW model that frooze all to use and would not start again.
I have checked all the power drive options very well.I have the blue AC power led on and the orange light but pc does nothing. I tried to power up without battery with AC, but always the same question.
No fans don't come on etheir. PC won't in the start-up phase, and nothing appears on the screen that is constantly empty.I don't get the HDD 200 GB startng so I swapped it for a work of identical spare but the pc still does not start.
My only conclusions are that I have a dead motherboard or a power problem internal.
Its the real frist problem I've had with this laptop so am just checking to see if anyone out there has had the same problem or knows all the patches, I have not tried.
Yes, that sounds like a serious hardware failure.
Looks like the motherboard, GPU, or another party on the mobo may be defective. What about RAM modules? Did you check both?
Please doOtherwise if there s no RAM issues then you will need a professional technician help.
At the moment I put t see any other solution you :(
