  My laptop keyboard get hurted by my girlfriend and I needed a new one (a Spanish!) search the internet, I founded a salesman who sold me a very cheap, cheaper than the cost of the repair of Toshiba people here in Spain.

  My laptop is a Satellite a500-140, which he did not keyoboard backlit but the seller sold me a backlit, and I discovered that the motherboar of my laptop has two connectors, one for the backlit and one for the keyboard, but I failed to make it work (the backlit).

  I tried to install all Toshiba bloatware to arrive to hwsetup and there, get in the menu from illuminating, but when I install, this menu does not appear, while in regedit, I can found some functions in hwsetup associated with Fn + z backlit and hexagonal hack or something lika that?

  If your motherboard has a connector for the backlit keyboard, it should be possible to make such an upgrade.

  3 days ago, I bought Toshiba Satellite L50-b-177 and I installed all the updates proposed, including the new version of the BIOS 1.70.

  Right now I have problems with some of the letter Polish such as?,?,?.

  In some Polish letters programs do not work at all, and in others only some of them.

  I recommend you to check the external USB keyboard functionality.
  If external keyboard works properly, the problem could be linked to a malfunctioning internal keyboard.

  In addition its recommended recovery the laptop to factory settings and check the functionality of the laptop as part of the default factory setting.

  You can try to contact the ASP from Toshiba in the country where you are resident or currently stay.
  The ASP may be able to provide unique key hats...

  Another idea: visit a few independent computer stores / downtown dealers.

  As I know the keyboard Poretege Z30 uses a key town CAP, editing which should be accompanied by other keyboards...

  Hi, I'm newbie here. This is my first post, so sorry for the plain text.

  I have a problem with the laptop Satellite L50-B-177 1 month of my wife. After update BIOS (from Toshiba Service Station) to version 1.70 I have this problem: it is impossible to use symbols of Polish that comes with ALT + z, ALT + x, ALT + c. other - ALT + a - works normally.

  Problem is the operating system independent (even on the live session of Ubuntu). I understand that this is a specific problem for the location of the Poles, but causes cell useless for my wife (she is a teacher and write a lot of text). As much as I know BIOS downgrade is not available for customers, and the weeks of waiting for the new package of BIOS is out of the question.

• Touchpad stops for a moment on my Satellite Z30 - A - 1 d 0

  Earlier this week, I bought Toshiba satellite Z30 - A - 1 d 0.

  My touchpad seemed well, but from time to time the cursor stops working for about 1 minute. I can use the left and right touchpad button, but I can't just move the cursor.

  I first thought that I had accidentally locked the touchpad so I pressed Fn + F9 and the light which means that the touchpad has been locked, then I pressed it again and the cursor still did not move, he began only about a minute after...   It is not easy to say why this is happening.
  If possible try to use an external mouse. It will be interesting to know if there is a general problem with mouse or simply with internal touchpad.

  for me USB attach a Note 3 Galaxy and a Toshiba Satellite Z30 - A do not seem to work (well) with an almost out of the box system.

  I just bought a Toshiba Satellite Z30 - A with 8 (.1) of Windows that has been updated through Windows Update for the latest patches from Microsoft and Toshiba tools for the latest updates it. The McAfee software product has been removed.

  I can work with the Galaxy Note 3 just fine in MTP mode / charging. Unfortunately, as soon as I turn on USB tethering on the phone, the Windows networking subsystem 8.1 passes by blocking fashion and nothing comes right out of it. I tried to disable the stack IPv6 complete to the point Windows 8.1 but did not have all that much success.

  I use the right Remote NDIS driver (by Microsoft); I remember having used successfully before USB tethering, and it seems sort of work on an aging Windows 7 installation with the same phone on another laptop.

  Any suggestions on how to get USB tethering to work reliably and quickly in the above configuration would be greatly appreciated.

  I understand that I am facing too many variables, including the operating system (tails), the Toshiba system utilities / implemented USB 3.0 and firmware Samsung Galaxy 3 Note.

  Go to the sources of the system/preferences/keyboard and use the most and add buttons to add the keyboard called «Spanish ISO»  Then remove the one what we called "Spanish", so that only Spanish ISO is on the list.  See if that helps.  If this is not the case, let us know what keys do not produce a correct output.
