DELL would be donating 6 workstations in the training of black contemporary TV program located in the Martin Luther King Jr. Center in Dallas Texas. This is one of the largest, most well equipped MLK centers worldwide... The main use would be to train people in all aspects of video production included shooting, editing, post production and dissemination of uplink and webcasting.

The black community is omitted from this all the industry important here in Dallas, Texas and in the country and we want to create an opportunity for community integration.

    We have problems with our t410 AiO customers, where the CAPS, NUM and scroll stop lights on the keyboard do not work with view PCoIP desktop computers.

    I found the below information and a work around:
    If you use the Protocol PCoIP to display on a client system Ubuntu 10.04, the CAPS Lock, NUM Lock, and Scroll Lock lights on your keyboard do not work with desktop view. Although the lights do not work, the keys themselves work.
    Solution: Set the following configuration in a configuration file, such as/etc/vmware/config:
    mks.keyboard.useXkbSetNamedIndicator = 'TRUE '.

    The problem is this difficulty is already in place via the latest version of the HP, Z6A440, software that is installed within our Organization.

    What I discovered, is that the model that we initially bought for the test doesn't have this problem.  However, the models that we ordered since that time, DO have the problem and the solution above does not work as expected.

    The model originally ordered for test is still a customer of IOA t410... but there are 4 "under models' for customers of IOA t410... that we have to test is a H2W20AA, while those we receive and distribution are the H2W21AA model.

    No idea why, when connected to the desktop from view, that models of H2W21AA have this problem?

    H2W20AA is with Teradici PCoIP optimized, which can support PCoIP better, but H2W21AA is not with Teradici. That's the difference.

    However, the issue that you are experiencing does not matter in fact, we have not heard of this problem before. I would suggest that you do the following to see if there is no change:

    1. Go to download the latest VMware View 2.3.4 for t410, follow the instructions to install.
    2. If suggestion 1 does not work for you, try to connect to another VM group or set up a new machine virtual clean
    3. Call HP service center to save your problem for further investigation if the suggestion above did not work

    I want to add more CPU/memory for desktop computers in a pool of composer linked clone but I want to build a pool of test out changes first, while the production area is still in place. Can you screw with virtual material in the main image and then take a snapshot and build the pool of test out of it without him bring the clones in the production pool?

    I think that the process would be as follows...

    1. modify the parameters of material on the main image of Win7

    2. run the main image and let it recognize the CPU and additional memory (probably needs to restart the CPU I think)

    3. close the main image and take a snapshot

    4 create a new pool of test off the coast of this new snapshot

    Yes it may seem straight, it won't cause any problems. If you want to be very careful with your prod environment, you can just clone the base image and make your tests on it.

    I'm testing the view 4.6 for internal use and my 3 users today announced that they are unable to connect to their desktop computers.

    The State reported for desktop computers in the display manager is "available (missing)."

    I noticed that you can still connect with RDP if you point directly to the IP address of the Virtual Desktop, shows like "connected (missing)."

    I noticed that it shows not the host or data warehouses where the offices are located, looks like a communication problem with vCenter.

    I restarted the vCenter and the server connection view with no result. East view of 4.6 and vCenter 4.1 as guests.

    I have attached a screenshot to show you what I mean.

    Any ideas?

    Penetrating the VMs a vApp is probably the cause as vApps are not supported with view currently. If all goes well moving their new will solve your problem.

    I use several computers desktop (accessible by the Mission control). I just added a third and my apps are bad! I have a set for Outlook upward and a few other applications, office (Word, etc) applications and my third new office for Adobe CC applications. Everything was fine until I started using the third office. I put the options to keep the apps I would like it - office 1, 2, 3, all desktop computers, this office etc... my problem is that apps in 2 and 3 keep switching places, even if I put exactly where I want that they!

    Sounds trivial I know not, but why OS X gives the option to position them if she's going to ignore it? Y at - it a bug? She is currently set?

    Open 'System Preferences' and go to 'Mission Control'. Uncheck the box 'AutoArrange spaces based on a more recent use.

    OK, this could be a crazy question. In El Capitan, I was just messing around with drag of the mouse. As I double finger slid left, I noticed that my previous wallpaper appeared. What is the purpose of these multiple wallpapers? There are at least 5 previous that I used. It can be used as separate work stations, and I can switch back. I'm just curious to know how others use these essentially in short. It's on the iMac 27 "5 k retina

    Looks like you have several trays of office set up with each showing a different wall paper. An easy way to get a glimpse of this is to click on the Mission control. The current display you have will be slightly reduced and at the top of the screen, you will see a banner with each asset Office marked ' Office 1, office 2, etc.. One way might be easier to switch between them is to hold down the Ctrl key and click the right arrow or arrow to the left. In general, I use 2 desktop computers to simply keep the different workflows and related programs in their own separate office (Safari running in one, Firefox running in the other). Initially, I had the same wallpaper in each, but changed one to make them easily dissociated from each other.

    If you do not want to use cam simply click on the small icon near the clock (Camera Assistant software). You can also disable this auto-start application.

    If you want to completely disable, disable camera Chicony USM Device Manager 2.0. It is listed under imaging devices.

    Hello world. I think to buy a new computer in the near future, if all goes well, to replace my outdated Windows Vista, and I was wondering...

    I know this may seem like a stupid question, but as I am not the most tech savvy, I noticed that all new HP desktop computers have disk on the side players. I really wanted to get a computer when I put a CD or DVD in laterally rather than vertically, as you always do on most of the CD or DVD players. I'm worried that my drive could fall and on the floor, if I have to put in on the side.

    I was wondering, I would be able to put my turn desire on the side on my desk, or something (or am I supposed to), I wouldn't put my disks in side?

    Turning the case on the side, you have two issues with the option - air flow and direction of the HARD drive.

    Regarding the first, when you rotate the case and lay on its side, one of two things will be real - the CPU fan will point upward (which is good) or the fan will be pointing down (which is BAD).  You need the fan up to evacuate hot air from the case.  IF it is pointing down, it could not exhause air properly, your CPU is overheating and the PC will fail.

    Regarding the second, I know that the modern hard disks will work in virtually any orientation (i.e., vertical or lateral), but I don't know if it is safe to run inverted for long periods of time.  So, again, it is a question of orientation such as if carrying case on the reverse side the HARD drive, I wouldn't.

    Regard to drop the CD/DVD drives, they usually something mounted to prevent this.

    I have configured my MacBook Pro to display several different offices, based on several types of work that I do. I'm having two problems: (1) get the apps in the dock to show only in the dock on specific and (2) workstations, get the files and folders to broadcast only on one specific office.

    Re: (1), I followed the instructions from Apple I found online, but all applications in the dock show in the dock on each other in all cases.

    Re: (2), I don't see a menu or option to specify desktop computers. They're showing on all my workstations, which isn't what I want.

    The Dock is the same, no matter what you are in office. It cannot be configured to display only the items to come on a computer desktop and other articles on others. It is similarly of the icons. An icon that you put on a desktop will appear in all work positions.

    Now you pouvez specify certain applications appear in specific jobs and this applies to the Finder as well so you can have icons of documents and folders appear on a single desktop computer. Other workstations will all show no icons. If you choose this option, you can then open a window to a folder on the desktop that has the Finder, and then move it to another office.

    Before Apple, desktops implemented, there are several utilities which enabled us to operate more as you want, but unfortunately, they are now gone.
