Re: Type administrator access

Hi Drakster,

I have the same frustrating problem, that is, I'm not able access/install my HP Officejet Pro 6835 because these functions are blocked and I get a msg of error saying that these functions are blocked by the administrator, which is me!

I can't do another installation by downloading the support files because I get the same error at some point in the process. It seems that if I'm going to need to do a reset full semi. Can you help me please?

    With a used computer recommended is to do a clean install. This is particularly important with a former domain member machine since several strategies group defined on the server will be "tattooed" on the system and make it very difficult to use as a home machine.

    If you are unable or refuse to do it (not recommended), you will need to use NTpasswd to change the password for the local administrator to white. Then connect and separate the machine from the network. Create a new user account for yourself and remove any domain user profile. This will not remove policy group that are tattooed and m ost companies also set a default restrictive profile so if that was the case in your user accounts new cases will also be limited.

    Download the bootable CD .iso image file, burn with third-party burning software such as free ImgBurn , Nero or Roxio. Burn as an image, not in the form of data. Start with the media that you have created. You need to maybe change the boot order in the BIOS or obtain a menu of boot command temporary with the pressure of a special key. NTpasswd will run. Follow the instructions carefully.

    I upgraded from vista Home premium 64-bit for win 7 Home premium 64-bit and am logged into my main account and it says administrator under my name, but when I go to edit some files it does not do and says I need administrator access to say COMPUTERNAME\MYUSERNAME.  I make sure that I am logged into my account, but it doesn't let me do anything.  Help, please.

    If logged in as an administrator, there could be some files that require the possession.
    To change the files you must have the owner of a protected file to access. If another user has restricted access and you are the computer administrator, you can access the file to appropriate.

    To take ownership of a file, follow these steps:
    1 right click on the file you want to take control and then click Properties.
    2. click on the Security tab and then click OK in the security message (if one appears).
    3. click on advanced and then click the owner tab.
    4. in the name list, click Administrator, or click the Administrators group, and then click OK.

    The administrator or the Administrators group now owns the file.

    To change the permissions on the file that you now own, follow these steps:

    1. click on Add.
    2 in the enter the object names to select (examples) list, type the user or group account that you want to have access to the file. For example, type administrator.
    3. click on OK.
    4. in the group or user names list, click the account you want, and then select the check boxes of the permissions you want to assign to this user.
    5. When you are finished to assign permissions, click OK.

    6. you can now access the file.

    You are able to manage the privilege level is assigned to a user with Ganymede, however, you are not able to go to privilege level without enable authentication, unless you go to 9.1 (5) code.

    I just bought a new processor with Vista Home Premium.  I only created an account to administrator so far.  I am trying to install Pinnacle Studio (9.0 and more).  When I attempt to load the software tells me that I need administrator access.  I am in the aminstrator account and when I go to create an account screen, it recognizes that I have these rights.  Any ideas?

    According to Pinnacle database solution, version 9 of the Studio is not compatible with Windows Vista.

  • Cannot delete the .lck file and I have administrator access. Windows 7 Professional

    Trying to open a file with 3 Expressions .dwt and a lck record prevents my opening. TPL. tried to delete the file lck and messages said I must have administrator access. I signed as editable. I'm the only person who has used this system and I checked my status and he says: I am the administrator.  Thanks for the help.

  • Import/Export of types Administration

    IHAVE created new logical types and some substitutions of types in "Tools |" Types of costs.

    These new types are used in my current design.

    I mentioned that the Administration Types are stored locally in the Data Modeler installation directory and logical types are referenced by the ID-s in the design.

    This means that if design is opened from another computer in which have different instalation of the Modeler, the new logic types defined will not present.

    Is it possible to transfer the information of types with design?

    Is it possible to export/import Types Administration information?

    Hi Dimitar,

    first of all, you should rethink whether you really need new types of logic. They are the abstraction layer that covers / isolate the kinds of native databases and some point of view, that they are meaningless to the touch - you can create domains if you want to express more semantic. The set of logical types to come with maker of data covers native types for all supported databases. It'll be easier for you (with future updates) just to rename the logical types if you n ' like how they are named.

    This is another point, if you play with native types defined by the user - their meaning is to add support for native types, that we do not support in the distribution of DM.

    Change the logical types will make your incompatible designs with other DM installation - you must still distribute the types.xml as well as the design itself. If you use SVN then this isn't a problem because you can put the directory "system data types" (preferences > data Modeller) to a SVN workflow with version directory and follow.

    My user account on my laptop had its password changed without my permission, and there is no option to access the administrator account from the logon screen. I can't restart in safe mode because it requires me to log on and I do not know the password.     I'm reading the document s/n of 2 days and see there are a large number of WHOLE xxxxx xxxxx style access privileges.

    Given that these privileges allow a user to perform actions that affect the objects it is not owner, I was wondering what would be good reasons to grant large litters to a user privileges. In other words, in my mind, everything that is intrinsically global's good enough the Earth of the DBA and no one else. Am I missing a reasonable justification for the privilege of type ALL to non-administrative users?

    A database account is a 'user' in Oracle. When you run "CREATE USER HEMANT", Oracle doesn't know if "HEMANT" is / will be a DBA or an Application schema or an administrator account (think of Admin, Admin etc streams replication) or an operator or an account that has privileges to Application schema (think e-Business Suite applications) or an end user.

    It is only through the process of the roles and privileges "user type" is differentiated.

    If you ask 'why would there be privileges % %', don't you ask ' why is / was there a DBA role "? It is not the privilege which is what the problem is. That's the privilege is granted to the-'who' can be an end user (what you call a "user not Administrator") or can be one of the different types of database accounts that require a different type of administrator privileges.

    Questioning the "% ALL % ' privileges is like asking a"flat hierarchy"- have only 'root' and 'user' at the level of the BONE, nothing in between.

    Those "% ALL % 'privileges of sense unless you know how to use them." They facilitate the correct configuration of the access controls and privileges.

    I clicked on the update for Firefox v19.0.2 last night on a Windows 7 laptop.

    Everything else on the laptop is the current version.

    I was logged in as a user who does not have admin access to install anything on the laptop. I was expecting the dialog box appears asking me to enter an admin password to allow changes on the laptop.

    This dialog never appeared, but the update has been completed successfully and Firefox shows the latest version on the subject...

    How is - that bypass you the security on my laptop?

    I'm afraid that if you can do it, so can everyone else out there. I thought that I was protected from things being installed on my computer without my permission...

    How do I protect myself against unauthorized in the future changes?
