Re: Unable to get the wireless adapter to work on my Satellite L550-1CC

I'm getting bored with this laptop, I reinstalled windows 7 (32 bit) and can not get the wireless adapter to work.

My router settings are perfect, my netbook is zero connection problems - the router is just inches away from the laptop most of the time - the laptop insists that there is "no available networks."

This of course is BS, before I reinstalled windows I could pick up 3 other neighbouring networks as well as mine.

Windows automatically installed the wireless network - I thought that could be the problem, so I downloaded the realtek driver directly.

No difference. Always the small icon with Red Cross barred through it.

I thought it could have been a hot key problem - so I installed the flash card driver that apparently controls the access keys (for some reason any).

Shortcut keys still don't work - I could really care about that - it's just the wireless network I need.

Thanks for any help I receive.

> my netbook has zero connection problems - the router is just inches away from the laptop most of the time - yet the laptop insists there is "no available networks."
After reading this sentence, I'm a bit confused. If there is no available WLAN networks how your laptop had zero problems to connect?

One last thing:
> Of course is BS, before I reinstalled windows I could pick up 3 other neighbouring networks as well as mine.
What is the difference between the old and the new installation of Windows?

In general the WLAN use is fairly simple.
Wireless network card - must be installed correctly (listed in Device Manager
WLAN card - must be enabled using FN + F8 key combination to activate the wireless network card
-scan the available WLAN networks area, click on the button of your WLAN and use connect
-put key WLAN if necessary and after a few seconds WLAN connection will work

I did this many times on laptops preinstalled Win7 and didn't have any problems. On all laptop computers pre-installed with Toshiba recovery image (factory settings) is not necessary to change the WLAN settings.

    Hello

    AFAIK ConfigFree tool is created for the monitoring of LAN and WLAN connections and not command or with the same configuration. To configure your WLAN, you can use the standard Windows WLAN settings or another application, designed by the manufacturer of the WLAN card like Intel Proset Wireless software (probably preinstalled on your device). If you use Intel created a software, you should disable the WLAN Windows option and it is very important.

    Please test a little more exactly and I hope you find the optimal configuration for your WLAN.

  • Unable to get the 'splash' screen to work with sample

    Using the RIM as a model example, I have this:

    {public Dib (boolean ribbonClicked)

    {if (ribbonClicked)}
    Launch the application
    this.pushScreen (new SplashScreen (UiApplication.getUiApplication (), new GameScreen()));
    this.pushScreen (new GameScreen());
    } else {}

    and this:

    public class SplashScreen extends full screen {}
    Private fields
    Following private FullScreen;
    application of UiApplication private;
    private Minu = new Timer();

    private final static Bitmap _bitmap is Bitmap.getBitmapResource ("berrysoft_logo.png");.

    Public SplashScreen (UiApplication ui, following fullscreen) {}
    Super(Field.USE_ALL_HEIGHT |) Field.FIELD_LEFT);

    This.application = ui;
    This.Next = next;

    This.Add (new BitmapField (_bitmap));

    SplashScreenListener listener = new SplashScreenListener (this);
    this.addKeyListener (listener);

    Timer.Schedule (new CountDown(), 5000);

    application.pushScreen (this);
    }

    but when I click on the application icon on the Ribbon, instead of work (as it does if I just press on GameScreen, it 'freezes' (a few seconds), then does nothing (IE never left the band).)

    What's wrong?

    The SplashScreen sample itself grows in the stack to display within its constructor.  You do not need to push, simply create an instance of it.  Pushing it, you try to push the same screen in the battery twice, which is not allowed.

    Why you didn t install original OS that you got with your laptop?
    This original version contains all the necessary drivers, tools and utilities and t certainly works.

    You can use FN + F8 key combination?
    When you press FN you find Flash cards?

    Hi Winston,

    Thank you for your advice. Apart from the problam of restore point, there was also a major problam start but I entered the configoration system and activated on start up and this has solved. I'll try again restore then outside the mode without failure, then in the case where the start was part of the problam point and go from there. I will let you know the results. Thank you very much.

  • How to get a USB 2.0 wireless adapter to work on Win7 Ultimate 64-bit?

    Details:

    ASUS P8Z77 - V motherboard w/Intel Core i7 3.5 Ghz 3770 K LK
    16 GB OF RAM
    HWUN4 USB 2.0 wireless adapter b/g/n w/Realtek chipset Hawking RTL8192CU
    Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit fully updated to include SP1
    It is the second USB card who refuses to work on this platform, the first being something Rosewill which also uses a Realtek chip.
    I checked that the drivers for my MB are up-to-date, verified that I have later Hawking, tried drivers directly from Realtek drivers for the chip and assured that I installed the latest Intel MEI driver package for my motherboard. I went on the USB settings in the BIOS, but I'm not exactly fluent in what the options really are or do. I went through all of this also try to get the Rosewill unit to work several months past, as well, but without success with a device. It is postulated that the Hawking unit is actually Edimax, although I can't find any similar product on the site in order to try the drivers for. I also completely turned off my firewall ZoneAlarm and Avast! antivirus during installation and configuration, for the same results each time. The results does not same are achieved regardless of USB 2.0 ports 10 or if I connect to the adapter for.
    With this Hawking and the previous Rosewill adapter, drivers seem to installs successfully, such properties as displayed in the Device Manager say "this device is working properly", but they do not find a wireless signal. Simply says Windows Network Diagnostics adapter is "problems" and suggests that drivers can be a problem and always indicates that the latest drivers are already installed every time I have send the update to the latest drivers on my hard drive.
    I can come to only three possible conclusions:
    (1) Windows 7 Ultimate 64 - bit is unable to use USB 2.0 wireless network cards.
    (2) Windows 7 Ultimate 64 - bit is unable to use USB adapters based on the Realtek chips.
    (3) my motherboard lacks the correct BIOS settings to fully activate USB wireless.
    I have several other USB 2.0 devices that all work fine on this platform, including cameras, USB keys, external drive docks, mice, keyboards, phones, and others. I googled the days and found nothing to convince me the problem with my motherboard, I can't find anything specific on Win7x64 being a problem with this. Comments on NewEgg and other sites indicate people successfully use wireless adapters USB with Win7x64 and even on the same motherboard, I use, so I have to assume that I have either overlooked something or not yet found appropriate hardware and/or software settings.
    With this post being half-rant and half-cry for help, I will respectfully ask for suggestions on how to solve this maddening problem.

    «I don't mention it in my first post, certainly, but these devices have very certainly works wonders on a laptop with Win7x64 and a desktop computer with WinXPx32 installed.»

    So your previous conclusions are wrong, because they contradict what you are saying now.

    I wanted to know if the adapter STILL works, not its past history. I have a D-Link WDA 2320 worked in another PC perhaps a year previously, but now it shows in the configuration, and that's as much as I can get with it. A few years ago I had a computer that did not like any wireless device, either PCI or USB and finished by hard wiring it which was very annoying.

    OK, back to your...

    Go to Device Manager and uninstall the device.
    Then set Device Manager to show hidden devices.
    Remove any instances where the adapter has tried to implement on a USB port
    Remove all instances of the downloaded driver files.
    Restart the computer. There should be nothing about it that the adapter can use more

    Then download a SINGLE instance of the pilots approved here. http://hawkingtech.com/products/hawking_products/Hi-gain_wireless_networking/HWUN4.html

    According to the manual, you must run the file from the driver before connecting the device to the computer...
    Connect the device and then run the driver file. Restarting after the installation of the drivers and when the computer is back running, connect the device...

  • How to activate the wireless adapter

    I currently have a HP Pavilion 17 computer laptop with Windows 7 Professional.  A few times in the past in the unit's wireless adapter stopped working.  I don't remember what I did to get it working again, then however at this time I can not activate even if I followed all the steps to change the settings of the adapter on the network and sharing Center.  When I select Connect, it simply shows that it is not connected.  Nothing I have tried seems to help.  I have a unit of Belkin Wi - Fi that works and my laptop runs as long as I have an Ethernet cable connected.  However if I disconnect the cable from the laptop does not connect via wireless adapter.  In the past he would always stay connected to the Wi - Fi connection even if I disconnected the cable.  Please give me any thoughts you had to solve it.  Thanks in advance for your efforts and help.

    I just wanted to know that I found the solution to my problem with the help of a response of the same issue posted last year.  Repeated pressing the F12 key with the picture of an airplane on the wireless card.  Forgive my ignorance, but thanks to all who took time to try to help me.

    Hello

    I reformatted my Satellite L10 and managed to pull the best of drivers to use, but I can't seem to get the wireless working.

    I installed the Realtek driver http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/wlan/?page=downloads

    I also tried to install the InProComm driver, but the installer crashes just after a while.

    Anyone know what could be the problem? All solutions?

    Hello

    What operating system do you use?
    I checked Toshiba driver download page and looked for the driver for Satellite L10. Here, I can only find a driver Intel WLAN for Vista and the driver InProComm for XP but I can t find a Realtek WLAN driver.
    It seems that your laptop is equipped with an Intel card check so the Toshiba site again:

    Before you install the driver WLAN make sure that WIFI is turned on with the hardware switch on the computer laptop and FN + F8.

    Hello

    If you have the card WLAN MiniPCI Agere, the system needs to install the following registry key with the WLAN card driver:
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE es\Pcmcia\Parameters]
    "IrqRouteToPciController" = dword:00000006

    I found a statement of installation:

    1. new installation of Windows XP Service Pack 2 package
    or clean install Windows XP Gold package and install Service Pack 2 update image on it.
    2 copy the TICardBusIrqRouting.reg on the system, and then click the file on the system.

  • Satellite 5200 903 does not detect the wireless adapter

    Hello everyone,
    I wonder if anyone can switch me to it...
    Since I reinstalled the operating system (my XP pro SP2) PC seems not detecting don't nor the wireless adapter in the device under network adapter Manager.
    Also the light of the flexibility wireless no longer not.
    I also have problems to access the BIOS to check if the card is detected there, have not a Toshiba HW setup in Control Panel as described in the manual.
    Any suggestions?

    Hello Juliana

    The question is how did you install the operating system? If you use the restore CD to install all tools including Toshiba HW setup. If the unit is pre-installed with the Microsoft Windows XP Home edition CD, you must install all the stuff of Toshiba late.

    Just a little explanation about the wireless network card. Basically, if the wireless switch indicator turns not on s clearly indicate on hardware problem. I guess that the wireless card is faulty. Also check if the card is listed in the Device Manager.

    If you want to enter the BIOS settings pres ESC key at the boot routine and keep it down for a few seconds.

    Good bye
