Reactivation after several upgrades physical Win 7 64

I want to upgrade hardware (replace) for new construction from my ultimate machine to Win 7 64.

New: motherboard, CPU, ram and add a new SSD.

The rest of the old: hard drives, box, GPU, optical drive, mouse Ko... etc.

I understand that I can migrate my OS for the current HD SSD, but a better approach would be to do a clean install for the SSD...

HARD drive would be my drive "/ data storage.

What are the problems of reactivation mutiple changes in hardware will with a simultaneous reconstruction...

How can I do this and maintain my working copy of Win 7?

I am a senior on a very limited income so need to use my current operating system

Please notify people...

Thank you

I bought the full retail version (and not an upgrade) of my Win 7 Ultimate 64... all will be fine with a phone in the reactivation?

As stated above, no phone activation is necessary if you have the retail version.

    Hello.

After update to 8.1 Windows wireless indicator is still on (red light), no matter if the WiFi is really turned on or off. When I press the f12 key, WiFi passes in Airplane Mode, I have a message in Windows, everything is ok.
    But the light still.

In Windows 8, it worked as it should.
All the drivers are up to date.

Is there a way to solve it?

    > In Windows 8, it worked as it should.

    > All drivers are up to date.

You said that the drivers are up to date. This means that you have installed and updated every driver and Toshiba utility as mentioned in the instructions for installation of Win 8.1?
These installation instructions are on the EU Toshiba driver one page it shows you the order of installation of driver/tools.

In addition, you should check if the BT and WiFi has been disabled properly.
Why? Because this indicator lights up red as if BT or Wlan is enabled.

Without doubt, BT or Wlan is switched on and then the light turns red.

  • Win 7: can I start Win 7 from USB after having upgraded to Win 8?

    Hello

I am currently facing up my Win 7 OS using a USB hard drive.

Say if I upgrade Win 7 to win 8 to my main OS C drive, can I have a dual operating system by choosing to start sometimes since my last Win 7 on the USB drive?

Unfortunately, no, you can do that. Windows 7 must be installed on a device of storage attached internally.

You could do a dual boot:

  • Recovery and upgrade to win 8

I use the HP pavilion g6 2020se runnig real win 7 and plan to upgrade to Windows 8.

I created Hp recovery discs and my hard drive also contains the recovery partition.

Before the upgrade, I have a few q:

    1. will I have dual boot options (win 7 and win 8) after I upgrade? Y at - it a facility during the upgrade to display the partition where win 8 needs to be installed?

    2. after the upgrade to win 8, removing previous installtion of windows 7 (i.e., removal of system "windows.old" folder) will affect the recovery procedures in the future?  More clearly, will be F11 or recovery disks work after doing the deletion above?

    3. If after the upgrade I want to downgrade to win 7 (the same State just before the upgrade), how to ensure that all my win 7 postulants windows updates and stay as it is just before the upgrade.

    Help PLz...

    You are welcome.

Not sure why the link doesn't work, but I'll give you the link below. It worked for me earlier. The optimal path to get Windows 7 on the system is to use the recovery discs. The link is provided to enable the option to use the windows.old folder to go back, but you do not use this option which makes the irrelevant link at this point. But it's a good backup plan.
    http://goo.GL/XFBz1

The recovery discs are intended to operate independently of any software on the hard drive. In fact, this is how the replacement of hard drives is installed. A hard drive goes out, a new one is mounted (and free of any software or partitions), and the recovery discs (the user created or sent by HP) are used to reinstall all of the original software. Little matter if the hard drive is empty or not, but what is important, is that it is the same computer that the recovery discs were made for based on the serial number and other factors. Be assured that the recovery disks will work as long as the material is physically the same and serial number matches, which is coded in the recovery disks.

I used my discs of recovery of Windows 7 on a hard drive wiped several times, including the case using an advanced hard drive "cleaner" to erase all data.

My own experience can enlighten us on that. I installed Windows 8 (or five) about four times on my laptop due to various problems of Windows 8. I will note, the questions were the result of my laptop is too old and not designed for Windows 8. Whenever I returned to Windows 7, I used the recovery without problem discs. This should be the same experience you have.

The only time that the recovery disks can fail, it is if a smaller hard disk replacing the hard drive from the factory.

The answer to the question of recovery of the disc is Yes on both accounts.

The Windows.old folder has nothing to do with the (user created or sent by HP) HP recovery disks. Windows.Old is the culmination of a process of upgrading Microsoft in case something goes wrong, while the old data is not lost. It's more than a safety net which allows to return to the previous Windows without wiping the hard disk entirely. Since the windows.old folder should not be used to go back to Windows 7, think of it as a Museum of old files Windows. There is at this stage as archive.

I hope I answered your questions and removed any doubt about the recovery disks.

After several months waiting for my hour I just began my Portege Z930 - 11G for Windows 8 Pro upgrade.

It must, surely, that there be a way to do it, but I'm not. Does anyone have a suggestion? I'm OK for now because I have a local cable system in the House, but once I get out on the road I will fight without WiFi.

First of all, you can enable and disable the WiFi using the function key, but you can also activate the WLan settings of Windows 8
    Key Win + C-> settings-> change PC settings-> wireless

Now, you can use the cursor to wireless devices to enable or disable the WiFi network.

  • Network down frequently on a virtual machine after the upgrade of computers host and vmware to win 10

    Dear all,

A week ago, I upgraded both my two machines VMWare Win 7 to win 10, as well as the host operating system. also from 7 to 10.

Now once every 1 or 2 days, one or both the two vmwares aura an esclamation mark on the network status icon in the lower right corner and West no connection.

The host operating system is NOT having any problems with the network.

The solution is to disable and reactive the adapter to virtual machines, or repair of running Network Diagnostics where she'll tell me that it s has reinstated the connection to the bridge. But obviously I´d prefer the VM´s to be on the internet 24/7 without my intervention.

I have another computer on the same router on which I did the same thing, but with this I m not having these problems. A different and not connected equipment via the VPN running on the host OS, which is the case with the machine that s had questions.

But even once, the host operating system is not having issues, the two VM´s aren´t always the two to have this problem, and this never happened when he was all Win 7.

I ve disabled some nights windows defender analysis and TCP/IP V6, but neither helped.

Want to see some of the information from the last network diagnostics / repair or some log file, or you already know what would be the solution to my problem?

    Thanks in advance!

    Best regards

    Jazzl

Well, I thought that a vm was having this problem a lot more often than the other, so I looked for error messages in windows journal, showing that the network problem - have to with DHCP btw - always spent 2 minutes after an event regarding slui.exe, not found on the other machine.

What I also noticed was that the problematic vm had lost its activation of windows with the upgrade to win 10 (win 10 has limits to how much the same license can be run as virtual machines), is is not the case for the more successful one.

Then I copied the good machine, which contains the same as the other, changed mac and uuid and now it s showing that enabled, no problem so far.
