  What mean of these messages, is that these "Firmware updates" do not apply to material in your specific computer. The two "Seagate Firmware Updates" are respectively for the hard drives of 250 GB / 320 GB and 500/750 GB hard drives.   On the Toshiba driver page, you can find an update of the firmware that came out for a CD/DVD drive that was not installed in your laptop and so you can not install this update.

  If you are unable to find an update of the firmware of your CD/DVD drive, then an update doesn't exist and is not necessary!
