• Windows license when you copy a disk image to new hardware?

  I work for a company that built machines with which we include a Windows 7 PC that is also running MS Office 2010 Professional.  I have create this PC and install / configure Windows, Office, and some 3rd party software.  It is a very time consuming process.

  This PC is absolutely crucial to the functioning of our machines, I want to provide an identically configured spare PC (PC2), which can serve as a backup in case the original PC (PC1) breaks down.  The easiest way for me to do is to copy an image of the disk from PC1 to PC2.

  I gave it a try and it seems to have worked, but when I started to PC2, Windows 7 and Office 2010 appeared as inactivated.  Windows 7 gives me the opportunity to change my product key and activate.  I can do that because I buy a second copy of Windows 7.  It was not as easy to find, but it seems that Office 2010 also gives me the opportunity to enter a new product key (in Control Panel |) Programs | Programs and features, select "Microsoft Office 2010 Professional 2010"by clicking on 'Edit' and finally by selecting 'enter a product key")." "  I can do that as well, because I buy a second copy of Microsoft Office.

  The problem I have is that I'll almost certainly want to try this procedure several times.  I bought two licenses Windows and two licenses of office, but I'm afraid of 'using' all of the activations allowed on these licenses.

  For example, today I did the disk from PC1 imaging procedure to PC2 for the first time.  I want to activate Windows and Office on PC2 and test completely PC2 with our machine before putting in backup storage.

  After having done that, I will continue to make changes to configuration on PC1 as I fine tune my software / settings before you send us the machine.  Before shipping, I want to start the disk from PC1 to PC2 imaging procedure.  Right now, I try to activate the same windows / Office of the licenses for the second time.  I'll be able to do it again?

  After we ship our machine and it is installed to our customer, I continue to refine my software to meet the needs of my clients when they evolve or that we realize things that we can do better.  Any time I do a significant change, I want really to redo the disc imaging procedure and to authorize and to test all software.

  It seems to me I'm coming soon a limit where Microsoft is no longer allow me to activate Windows 7 and Office.

  I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions that could make this task easier for me, without forces me to keep buying new licenses over and over again for the same two PC.

  There are important to keep in mind. If the license you are delivered with one or both of these PC then under the terms of the license agreement, they are not transferable to another PC.

  However, if they are full product licenses purchased boxed separately from the computer in question (and not an OEM pack) then provided they are removed from the original material, then the license can be applied again to a new PC.

  The activation process will be reset if the image has been transferred to a different hardware platform and will happen every time. Automatic same reactivation work at least once, but if it happens too often so you will be asked to call the Activation Center. The fact is that you can only have a license to PC is that you have licenses for.

  The EULA does not take specific account for the same license be installed on a "live" system and a sleep not in use.

• ESX 3.5 upgrade to vSphere using Activation of Windows

  I'm trying to upgrade ESX 3.5 a customer to vSphere.   I have a single license of Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition and spin 4 VMS (clones) on a single ESX host.   (a real activation and 3 clones of the Windows VM already active)

  After that I've upgraded to vSphere each Windows VM will require reactivation of Windows.

  Can someone tell me what to expect regarding regarding the reactivation work or I will have to call Microsoft.  Microsoft will allow me to reactivate all 4 VM?  Is it the fact that the VM is clones impact of the process of reactivation with Microsoft?

  If Windows in the VM is already activated, it should not be necessary to "reactivate" once you upgrade to vSphere. I do updates all the time and have never had to reactivate windows.

• Making Photoshop buttons work reactive width and height in Adobe Muse?

  I wanted to see if anyone knows a work-around to operate the reactive width & height in Adobe Muse the Photoshop layer buttons? The option is grayed out on it gives me only the possibility for width sensitive.

  I'm looking for a work around if possible.

  Unfortunately, the option of width and height sensitive is disabled for a touch of photoshop with layers.

  Although if you directly place one. PSD, that option will be activated.

  The best I suggest you to post that ideas for features in Adobe Muse.

  Updated to 10 MS today and my photoshop CS 6 requires the reactivation of use it. It automatically tries to get the activation code by going online, but it stops and says unable to connect at this time, "calling support '; but cannot get Adobe by phone and this phone says trail finally this product only is not supported by phone.  To start it requires an activation code and go online to get a response code requires a request for code I do not have. What is the next step? I just want to be back up and working. Thanks for any help.

• Help! Reactivation of DreamWeaver MX 2004 does not work!

  Following duty reinstall my complete system from a backup, caused by a virus, deeply seated, and I just couldn't get rid of, my DreamWeaver MX 2004 request now the re-activation.

  I tried reactivation in line, but it no longer exists, and activation of the phone does not work either!

  It was working fine when I made the backup and was working fine until I had to reinstall.

  I tried the cat from Adobe, but they tell me it's too old and they do not have the info now.

  Well, MX 2004 suited me very well, right now, and my serial number is one without an expiry date, so why can't I use it? For the moment, I just can't afford a new version.

  I think it's a problem with Verizon.

  Our company is on AT & T - and our lawyer have travel all over the world, Africa, London, South East Asia and they have never complained to me than before.

  I would turn off this add-on NoScript (and any other add-0ns you think can be done this) and see if Javascript works as it should. If it performs as it should then it would be reasonable to assume that NoScript is causing the problems you are having. If you want to continue using this module, or you can leave the add-on disabled, I would visit the Add-ons site for additional support for this problem.

  I have a similar problem like this.  I does no change of material, but after that the latest version of windows update that seemed to be an update of safety for IE8 I have rebooted and got the same message.  My efforts to reactivate my Windows XP have been in vain.  Because my time is limited, I will try the day 30 extension, but then what?  I hope that the work of attempt to extend.  Oh!  I have the same problem with the connectivity.  Online activation does not connect although my internet connection is fine.

  a. click the Start button and click run type: slui.exe 4

  b. press the Enter key on your keyboard.

  c. Select your country.

  d. follow the instructions for the activation of the phone.

• Duo 13 Touchpad does not work after the reactivation of hibernation

  In my 13 Duo running Windows 8.1, when I put on after his hibernation because of the battery, the Synaptics driver stops working and pilot generic Microsoft hid resumes (erratic behavior). I have to reboot to get it working again. I use the Synaptics 17.0.8.5 driver. The VT is enabled in the BIOS because I use VirtualBox extensively.   Cloned hard drive bigger and replaced hard drive in your laptop. Everything worked fine until I was invited to reactivate Windows Vista Ultimate (32 bit), I did over the phone.   We need to examine the issue. At first glance, all the links of any where in the CS2 download page seem not to work - even from the 'official' page - error: "Activation Server unavailable". CS2, Acrobat 7, Audition 3 -binding fails and just leads you to downloading a (which of course is what they would like you to). Now it is possible that it is a temporary thing, and that the download server is currently down, as the reference page is still there and there was no announcement that it should disappear, which certainly would have been - even Adobe is not so hard-hearted as to remove without warning. Well, I hope that they are not, in any case...
