• Impossible to get Acrobat 9.3.2 to read Chinese characters or install Chinese fonts

  (Please read what I have already done before suggesting solutions.)

  I use Adobe Acrobat 9.3.2 with administrator privileges on Windows XP Professional, and I can not read PDF files in simplified Chinese. (Apparently the Asian fonts were not installed when my IT people installed Acrobat.) I downloaded and installed FontPack90_zh_CN.msi. No use. I went into Add/Remove Programs, go to 'Edit' in the element of Adobe Acrobat and ensured that Asian fonts are installed there. Everything seems OK, but I can't read Chinese PDFs.

  When I try to open a Chinese PDF file, I get a message saying: "the media kit for the Chinese language simplified is required to display this page properly." He then proposed to install it and I click 'OK '. Then, it goes through the installation process. But in the end, I get another message saying, "the police or missing CMap was not installed successfully. This could be due to insufficient privileges.   10.1.4 is available as a patch for simplified Chinese. Assuming that you already have a contract for the redistribution of player with Adobe (http://www.adobe.com/products/reader/distribution.html?readstep), your should ship 10.1 and let your users update using the integrated update of the drive mechanism.

  Alternatively, you can also consult the business guide (http://helpx.adobe.com/content/dam/kb/en/837/cpsid_83709/attachments/Acrobat_Enterprise_Ad ministration.pdf) admin on the bootstrapper section to see how to install the 10.1 and the patch only once.

  I think that your game should work normally and if it is written in Chinese as the display language then it should work.  Best thing to do is to create a restore point and then install the game and try it.  Let us know what happens.

  I have a Kodak product .mov files.  My 2007 Vista, WMP 11, Dell E521 will not play these files.  I downloaded the latest version of Quicktime repeatedly these past years and although it allows me to play .mov files stored on my hard drive the rest of my computer goes haywire.  For example my Windows settings are scrambled (this was black is now white, etc.etc, freezes in Google Earth, etc. and I have to uninstall Quicktime and do a restore to a time before the installation of Quicktime to return to "normal".)  What exactly Microsoft recommends to play a file on Vista and WMP 11 Kodak .mov that won't cause my computer go crazy?

  You suggest Quicktime Alternative, others suggest that Quicktime Alternative w/o WM delivered Classic (which I can't find), others recommend that you download a "codec" (that one works?).

  ... is not Microsoft (the largest multinational computer software corporation) and Kodak (company multinational larger camera) have a common responsibility to answer my question with a free response experienced after having apparently wrecklessly sell me their products that do not work together?

  I understand that you have a HP Officejet 4622 e-all-in-one printer which has been implemented for the display was in German, but now it is in Chinese. I'll try to help.

  This might be a little difficult because I'm sure that you don't speak or read Chinese.

  1. in the start screen of the printer, press the Setup button located under the screen of the printer.

  2. scroll the page up to #5 in the Setup menu and press the middle button of the three buttons on the right side of the display to select OK. #5's preferences.

  3. scroll to select the #2 option in the Preferences menu and press the middle on the right button to select OK. You should now be in the languages menu.

  4. then you will have to scroll down to select the desired language and then press the middle on the right button to select OK, and then you will have to confirm the change of language by selecting Yes or no (Yes is the option on the left).

  I don't know if all different lanuages will be written in Chinese characters or if the languages will be spelled in their own language. This may take some trial and error.
