  Just updated iTunes to version 12.4.3.1 on Windows 10 PC 12.5.1.21

  Before the update, there are two options for reading audio books: remember the playback position and jump when brewing.  (to find these, select Get info on the audio book and choose the tab options).

  In the new update, these two check boxes have been removed. I hope that the answer is because there is little (or not) users who wouldn't never want these options, and the developers of iTunes just hardcoded these options in the metadata file.

  So what is the reason for their removal? If the options are always available at the place where have they been moved?

  I see these options, but cannot change them and the media type is set to Audiobook. Setting Media type for music and applying, then find the article, options and change the type of media to Audiobook works but is a bit lengthy. Use iTunes Feedback or Apple Bug Reporter to Apple let know.

• Why did only youtube videos work - the rest just read audio data?

  I have a strange request - it revolves around videos.

  Recently, the following problem occurred:

  YouTube videos will play fine, the audio and video are in sync.

  However, all the videos that aren't on youtube read audio only. This means that Web sites like liveleak (which use JW player), 4OD, ITV player and Vimeo (which use the moogaloop reader) read the audio only. In addition, the videos embedded on websites do the same.

  To try to solve the problem, I have:

  -Uninstalled and reinstalled flash drive
  -Uninstalled and reinstalled firefox
  -Right-click and disabled hardware acceleration

  You guys and girls what do you think might be the root of my problem. Audio plays well but liveleak shows a blank white box and vimeo shows just the 'snapshot' photo that appears to announce each video before clicking to read.

  What do you think is in place?

  I try to use cRIO 9076 and NI 9401 to read an absolute encoder (http://www.gpi-encoders.com/PDF/A58.pdf).  I hope that it is possible.  Please can someone advise if there are any example or a tutorial that explains how I can deal with the digital input data to get an output of numeric position?    Thank you.

  Are you using the A58-12 encoder? (It's the only one that looks like it will work with the 9401). If so, it returns data using the series SSI Protocol.

  You will need set up an output clock and the input of the 9401 SSI data line. For the reading of the data, there is an example of FPGA SSI on the community related to this knowledge base Article.

  Card PCMCIA-6036E has a STC chip that does not support the encoding position because there is no support of Z. It must be resolved in the software and using the edge counting.

  My Equium M40x with DVD Super Multi GMA - 4080N will read DVDs but not audio CD or data CD. I tried everything, including the removal of Device Manager and re-booting. The laptop sees the device and re - installed, but it does not solve the problem. Audio/data dics just happily run in the drive.

  It seems that the drive can read DVD but not any kind of CD.
  These problems usually occur because the wrong lens calibration.
  In this case, only the replacement of the drive can solve the problem.

  I put t know how old is your ODD but it is also possible that the drive is defective. Usually as a first step, the drive cannot read DVDs but CDs. This is a typical symptom for ODD defective. Laser calibration doesn t work as before.

  Sorry, but according to your short ad, can I just say: the drive is probably faulty and there is not much to do. Replacement is necessary.

  Optical drives of old iMac aluminum is, generally, the first piece of hardware to fail.

  You could try to clean the disc, by the power of your iMac, unplug power, take a credit card, wrapped in a Microfiber cloth to see if you can get one of the dust and dirt on pushing the fabric in and out movement at the same time (wipe off every time you pull out of the slot) until no more dirt won't come off on the canvas. Reconnect your iMac, start your iMac and try the drive again.

  If it failed, plan B is to purchase an external optical drive.

  The external optical drive made Apple only works with recent Macs who no longer have a disc Super bulit.

  If you need an optical drive that works with your year and model Mac, look at these.

  Not all optical drives are Mac compatible.
  Most Mac compatible hard disks you will find only to buy online.
