Reading drive hard moviefolders MCE

I backup my dvd collection to HDD (VOB) for the streams feeding the House and can suscesfully get Win 7 to play a variety of machines.  But I've just refurbished laptop 7 ulimate Vista for my daughter and want it to be able to access the folders of this laptop wireless.

But I can't get Vista MCE DVD library to allow me to add folders to the library (its much easier in Windows 7!).  All the links online I follwed will tell you right-click the DVD library and add the required folders.  But the Library button DVD tape of TV and movies does not meet a click of mouse r/h.  Infact, that none of the buttons do?

And there not an option in the tasks/libraries Strip to add movie files?

Someone at - it ideas?

What do you mean by is not usable in my external docking station?

I assume that you have placed the 2.5 HARD disk in a USB enclosure that allows to connect the HARD drive to the computer USB port.

  • I try to start the old T2150CDT - error message "not found reading drive C of the sector.

    Hello

I came by one of them and trying to fire, but I get the message, "sector not found reading drive C". I get this message just after windows 98 logo appears.

Problem is that I am limited in what I can do, because I don't have a floppy drive and back does not recognize the CD drive (missing drivers); Although I can hear it when starting upwards.

So I out the HARD drive and pasted the installation windows 98 inside files. then tried to reinstall, but I still have the message of "sector not found reading drive C". The drive is too large (it's about 2.1 GB.)

Install the right drivers for the CD Rom would allow me to install from a CD?

    It works usually
    Thank you
    John

As far as I know the error message; "Sector not found reading drive C" appears because of these three reasons:
    -physical HARD drive failure
    -corrupted HARD drive file system
    -Bad RAM

In the first case, you should try to format the whole HARD drive and should try to install the new OS.
If it will not help, chances are that HARD drive is malfunctioning and needs to be replaced.

  • Mystery needs Solution! Drive hard dv6258se

    Hello

I recently got an error #1-07 on my test diagnostic message and decided to replace my hardrive.  I checked the specs for my box and ordered a SSD drive suitable to replace the original disc.  Or at least I thought it was the original drive.  The form of State that my box comes with a SATA I drive, but the bios and Device Manager claim that the drive is SCSI.  My box has been recalled twice to correct the defects/factory model, pourrait HP replaced the SATA drive with SCSI drive during this time?  I check the model number two disks to check what they are, but that did not really help since the original Toshiba MK1234GSX both the new 830 SSD from Samsung come in SATA and SCSI.  I checked the Samsung is SATA, but cannot confirm the Toshiba.

I could format and restore the SSD from the restore disks, but restarting failed and the bios did not find the hard drive.  Subsequent attempts to restart grew up a NVIDIA, read error.  When I put the disc Toshiba back in it starts but is still VERY slow.  Click, wait 10 minutes, click, wait...

Everything I read on the State of the boards that the default value of the bios is SATA, but retoring bios factory settings has not solved the problem.

What is going on?  Please help and advise.

    Thank you.

PS being new I accidentlally posted in the wrong place: you will find a more detailed description in the Desktop section, where I posted recently submitted: hp dv6258se drive hard toshiba appearing as SCSI but spec says SATA

Yes, him talking about HP guy to me and I even found many other complaints about the disks SATA is read as a SCSI, it was a common occurrence from 06-08 and then had no performance impact that is a possible reason why the SSD is not compatible in theory it should be.

.. .He explained that because player plugs directly into the motherboard and the chipset software is only formatted to read things a specific way that it will NEVER be read a SATA as a SATA, which might be why the dv6000 are not able to recognize any SSD.  I.E. HP dv6000 is capricious and has a few quirks, if SSD does not occur.

So I'm going to buy a traditional HD, a cert HP technician think I should be able to go as high as a 500 GB HD, but I really just to get my box of operation, so I agree with a 120 GB.

Thanks for your help solved mystery.

New drive HARD & OS errors---> HP 8000 Elite Small Form Factor PC

Can not install Win XP on another hard drive

    I work with a...
HP Compaq 8000 Elite Small Form Factor PC

Original SATA HDD is loaded with Windows 7 Pro.

In order to install a program using this PC as a digital video recorder
I installed the video capture PCI card and related software. I had problems
associated with software and Windows 7.

I know that the software works with Windows XP.
Do not want to remove the original HDD, I tried my win7

I get the same error during the installation of the OS.  I tried different

The error I get is shown in this photo.

I get this error even with everything I tried to do.

This happens during the OS install just after or during the process of the installation of temporary files are current

    written to the HD.

When I re - install the original HD loaded with Win7, everything works as it
    expected.

Any ideas on what] s going on here?

    Hello:

The problem is that you must incorporate the necessary sata ahci drivers for windows XP to see the hard drive.

Has Windows 7 and XP is too old an operating system to make them.

Read the info at the link below, section of Intel and then read the downloadable PDF document for instructions on how to integrate all the drivers.

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/notebook-operating-systems-and-software/SATA-drivers-for-XP-solution-on-0x0000007B-BSOD/m-p/114120#M17758

The only other way to install XP on this model is to go into the bios, the storage section and change the setting of sata ahci to ide emulation, save the setting here and once again, when you go out.

The problem is that if you do this, you cannot change the setting for the preferred setting of DCIS, unless you know how to install the correct ahci sata driver after installing XP from the controller.  If you try to just change the setting back on ahci without having to install the controller driver, the PC does not start upward.

Try "slipstreaming" the drivers first and if you can't swing, install XP in IDE mode and I'll help you get the drivers installed, so you can change the BIOS to ahci setting.

  • Mounting my drive hard exFAT fails more than 70% of the time in Windows XP.

Mounting my drive hard exFAT fails more than 70% of the time in Windows XP.  I downloaded the Microsoft exFAT driver (Windows XP-KB985704 - x 86 - ENU.exe) and installed XP Service Pack 3.  However, when I turned the computer off and restart it, the disc will install.  I'm having this problem with several readers.  Looks like the player trying to get (new Windows hardware sound chimes when you plug in the drive).  Then rapidly thereafter dismantle it quickly sounded. When I take the car and plug it into my Mac, it is still rising.  Is it possible that I have to do something more to install the Microsoft exFAT driver?  The drive is made by G-technology.  I also tried to remove the disc before you turn off the computer and turn off the computer with the mounted drive yet.  Whatever it is, the reader is not recognized when I restart the computer.  I ran an on the disks and sometimes Apple disk utility, I get the message that the reader has a cluster to run repair disk.  After that, the player either go up or not.  There is no virus on the Windows computer.  The operating system is a novelty.  I use the system only to run AVID.   No other software is on the computer other than what came with it.  The computer is a HP 8600 workstation.  I mount the drive through a port firewire 400 on the computer using firewire 400 to 800 cable G technology.

    Hi motionpicturedirector,

It is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

I suggest that you configure the computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

See section to learn more about how to clean boot.

    Hello

This error may be coming because of unavailable storage required for the motherboard drivers. You can follow the steps one by one, mentioned below and check if that helps.

Method 1: Uninstall, and then reconnect the external hard drive. This method solves the problems where the currently loaded USB driver has become corrupt or unstable.

    1. Click Start, type Device Manager in the box Search
    2. Click Device Manager in the returned list.
    3. Click disk drives in the list of hardware
    4. Right click on the USB external hard drive with the question and click Uninstall.
    5. Once the hard drive is uninstalled, disconnect the USB cable.
    6. Wait 1 minute and then reconnect the USB cable. The driver should load automatically
    7. Look for the USB key in Windows Explorer

Note: Connection of your USB external hard drive to a non powered USB hub can cause a lack of sufficient power to operate the external drive. Instead, plug it directly into your computer.

Method 2: Install the latest Windows updates.

This method will install the latest drivers for your external hard drive USB device.

    1. Click the Start button, type Windows Update in the search box, and then click Windows Update in the results pane.
    2. Click find updates. When the scan finished, click optional review updates.
    3. Click the check box next to the update, and then click install updates.
    4. If you are prompted, read the license agreement, then click I agree.
    5. Follow the instructions on the screen to download and install updates.
    6. If you are prompted, restart your computer.

If your problem still exists, go to method 3.

Method 3: Reinstall the USB controllers. This method addresses the steps where the USB driver currently loaded became unstable or corrupted.

    1. Click Start, type device in the area Manager Search , and then click Device Manager.
    2. Expand Bus USB controllers. Right click on a device, and then click Uninstall. Repeat for each device.
    3. When finished, restart your computer. Your USB controllers will automatically install.

If your problem persists, go to method 4.

Method 4: Disable USB selective suspend framework. This method prevents your power off USB external drive.

    1. Click the Start button, type power management in the search box, and then click choose a power plan.
    2. Next to your currently selected plan, click Change Plan settings.
    3. Click change advanced power settings.
    4. Click in the box USBsettings, and then expand the USB selective suspend settings.
    5. Click on the area, and then click the menu drop down and select disabled.
    6. If you use a laptop, click the cell, and then click the menu drop down and select disabled.
    7. Click apply, and then click OK.

If this does not resolve your issue, go to method 5.

Method 5: Install the latest drivers for your motherboard chipset. This method updates the chipset of your motherboard drivers, so that your computer will use your external USB hard drive.

    1. See the documentation for your computer that will contain the name of the manufacturer of the motherboard.
    2. Visit your computer manufacturer's support Web site. For a list of the computer manufacturers support sites, visit: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/help/contact-support/computer-manufacturers
      (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/help/contact-support/computer-manufacturers)
    3. Go to their Web site to find the appropriate drivers for your motherboard. For assistance, contact the manufacturer of your computer.

Please post with the State of the question.

  • I have Win7 64 bit ultimate and from time to time when I start PC my card reader drives do not appear in my computer.

I have Win7 64 bit ultimate and from time to time when I start PC my card reader drives do not appear in my computer. Device Manager indicates that they are working correctly. Sometimes my dvd drives disappear. I have to do a system restore to solve this problem. For some reason any Win7 has problems with storage devices. How to stop these dissappearing from my Computer(or not getting a drive letter assigned) storage devices?  It's very frustrating. And, System Restore is not a way to solve this problem, it's just a quick fix. I have three internal hard disks, three hard drives, card reader external drives, USB keys, disks, etc. I need a way to solve this problem when it happens. So far, happened about 9 times in the last six weeks since I installed Win7 64 bit ATU.

There may be an update of the motherboard BIOS to solve the problem.

Otherwise, as your card readers are no doubt attached via USB the usual way to solve this problem would be to uninstall the drives and the USB controllers and devices in the system restore.

  • Replace drive hard hp pavilion dm3 after failure of hard drive test.

    All,

I have a HP Pavilion Dm3. Windows 8 Beta. My error messages included: drive hard Test failed. Hard disk 1 (303) fast. Hard drive 1 full (395). Most recent upload has itunes. From what I see I need to replace my hard drive.

My question is this; is there a manual or a guide on how to, 1. physically, replace the hard drive and 2. record information that may exist on my hard drive crashed? Thank you in advance for your help!

    Hello:

There are many models of dm3.

I pulled a repair of the dm3-2000 series. I hope that this layout is the same.

Read Chapter 4 of the procedure on the removal and replacement of the hard disk. Do not throw the old hard drive.

You will need to the caddy, the connector and screw to transfer to the new.

    http://bizsupport1.Austin.HP.com/BC/docs/support/SupportManual/c01893277/c01893277.PDF

Before you remove the hard drive, you can see if you can copy your files on a USB portable hard drive by downloading, burn it to a CD (using the ISO burning method) and make a the Kapersky rescue CD bootable CD. This will allow you to see the folders on your C:\ drive using the method of the graphical interface of the program execution.

Then you can copy and paste your files on your portable hard drive.

If the rescue CD can not see your hard drive, there's probably nothing you can do anything to the drive for recovery.

Migration of CS4 breaks the license. That's what 150:30 means. Assuming you are using a Mac.

You can use the Terminal method to repair the license... but I stress that carefully read you and understand the instructions here before you run it. beginning

If this isn't what you want to do, you have to reinstall.
