ReadyNAS NV + stuck 'Starting'... »

Yesterday, my ReadyNAS itself set off the power. After a power up I see with Raidar it full file system check, but then never becomes operational. He disappears to Raidar, and LCD display just 'starting...' "I have read the manual NV + regarding going to the start menu, but I'm afraid that operations such as Factory Reset will wipe my RAID array. I would like some advice as to how I could try to recover the situation, while maintaining the integrity of my data.

Thank you

The system would not start due to an unsuccessful attempt to download newspapers (there were some very large log files). The problem is now resolved.

    Hello gurus of VMWare.

I recently installed ESXi 5.5 on home server running AMD 6344 with 16 GB of RAM & NVIDIA AGP card 2 GB. After installation, the host starts fine, but once I enabled/added passthrough devices and rebooted the host, he's stuck at the start with the message "procMisc"... successfully loaded

    Attached screenshot:

Found the answer to my problem and post it here in case somebody comes looking for:

    Server configuration:

    AMD 6344

    16G RAM

    SATA HARD DRIVE

    NVIDIA GEFORCE GT610

    Config in the BIOS:

    Main display: VGA integrated

    IMMOU Support: enabled

    Extended support of HT: enabled

With the configuration above 5.5 ESXi does not start after you set up the NVIDIA GT610 as device passthrough.

    Problem:-GT610 does not support virtualization.

Solution:- is there anyone who knows what type of GPU (Intel or AMD based processor) supported in vSphere 5.5?

  • RAIDr found ReadyNAS after factory reset

    Hello

    I have a ReadyNAS Ultra 2 with 2 x 2 TB disks inside.

I needed to start from scratch, so I went to the factory reset my ReadyNAS using the start menu (press and hold the reset, press power etc), and RAIDr finds my ReadyNAS first so that I can click on Setup and choose a RAID type.

I then click OK and it starts to do its thing.

RAIDr then cannot find the ReadyNAS on the network.

I thought it may come and go during the installation but I left for almost two days and RAIDr can't seem to pick it up on my network.

It has an IP address, which I got from my routers connected devices page, and I can ping but RAIDr does not pick up it and navigate to the admin page fails.

I have tried the factory reset (the two XRAID & clear) & reinstall OS, but still, it seems to me to run things but disappears forever more.

Has anyone else had this problem, any suggestions on how to fix?

    Thank you

I have sent you a PM.

  • Cannot start Windows, Windows Setup does not detect the hard disk, Bootmgr is misiing

I have a few problems on my laptop [Acer 3810 t]

    -The first problem
My mobile give me screen "cannot start windows' who have 2 choices: run the Startup Repair tool and boot normally. I chose to fix it, but nothing happens and stuck "starting windows" and gives unmountable boot volume 'blue screen '. the Dungeon of blues screen appear (for laptop is a not restart). So I turned off my phone and turn it back on it. the "could not start" screen again and I chose to start normally. but the result is negative. My portable Dungeon cannot start windows. Because of that I am using the advanced boot option and choose all the boot type such asit cannot load the safemode, last configuration etc, but the result is the same, you cannot start windows. in safe mode, its stuck in loading fileinfo.sys. I do not give up to try again with the advanced boot option. until I have a bad situation. My laptop can only 1 file in safe mode and blues screen do not appear again (my laptop only return at the beginning of start or restart)

    -The second problem
because it cant solved, I want to reinstall my laptop. My OS is Vista 32 bit (pre-installed). I want to install the new operating system, windows 7. I use Dsik Flash bootable USB to install Windows 7. But in the BIOS, it is detected as a USB HDD. So I set my BIOS to load USB HDD to the first order. the installation can be done, but only until the "start Setup" screen and its deadlock. I have it wait up to an hour, but nothing happens. So I'm going to BIOS, change SATA mode to IDE mode AHCI. Then load the USB and go "installation program start screen. but the new problem is the installation of window does not detect my hard drive. So I can not choose the place to install the operating system. I have to load the driver, but I did not. Again to load the configuration to AHCI and IDE, until I get my HDD can detected in IDE mode. So I think I can move easily, I choose custom installation and choose the hard drive to install the operating system. But unfortunately, at the beginning of the process, after choosing the OS, the Installer gives error if installation location the installation failed. (I forgot the error message)

    -The third problem
So far, I can't spend 'startup begins' as well in mode IDE and AHCI. Also bootmgr in my hard disk is missing, so I can't go to move the startup repair or the startup option in my HDD as before

What is the error code that you got with blue screen?

I think that there is a problem with your drive HARD check that by contacting acer...

  • Cloning a VM between ESX servers - new VM is "stuck".

Hi guys since the new boy... hopfully I'm posting in the right place... go easy on me

I have a groups of ESX ESX 3.0 data center wiith 2.

I tried to clone a machine from one group to another and it is stuck at 98%.

In logging, there is one caveat of not being able to see the network 'Virtual Machine '.

If I look at virtual machines in Group1, they are on a different network to group2 - so I guess that's the cause. The newly cloned virtual machine is stuck 'start' (I ticked the box saying early after cloning - in retrospect, I guess it was a mistake)

There is nothing on the console for this virtual machine - totally white/black

I can not however change anything on the VM newly cloned within virtual Center - I can start / stop / edit... can not delete it! -If I right click on most options are greyed out with nothing very interesting to the left. (Add alarm... Snapshot... Add the authorization... .the console... performance report)

    Any suggestions gratefully received

I'd be happy just kill this virtual machine and start over

Philips, you can try the following

-Restart VC server and see if it works.

-Use VI Client to connect directly instead of using VC and see if you get the options according to the needs.

-Use the vmware-cmd commands and see if you are able to stop the virtual machine.

  • T400 incredibly slow Windows 7 boot

    Hello

I came across a problem that I can't bring myself to its cause is a mystery to me:

I got OEM Vista Ultimate installed on my T400, which worked well, but since I installed Windows 7 today, the windows startup takes unusually long, make me stuck "starting Windows" screen for about 10 minutes each time. Once it starts, it works OK without hiccups or lag whatsoever.

I have no idea where the root of this problem may be, perhaps this will give you an idea.

I had two T400 lying around, it had taken defective helmet (stuck somewhere, so the computer assumes that the headphones are always connected, so I could not any sound on the speakers.) As the headphone jack is soldered to the motherboard, I needed to replace the mobo) and the other had it bad LCD. So I decided to use the functional components to build a fully functional T400 and sell the other for parts.

    So what I did:

-Exchange of the LCD screens (LCD good + good mobo, bad LCD + bad mobo)

-Exchange processors (because one with defective plug had 2, 53Ghz - anything but the sound was very good! - while the other had only 2, 4 GHz)

-swapped hard drives (as those with defective jack was the computer I used usually, there were W7 installed, while the other had Vista)

I put them together and all in one that has Vista booted up quicky as usual (although as before, his mobo was used with a processor more fast and Windows 7), that now with W7 took forever to start up, which has never happened before. I thought it would be because of the CPU (the BIOS reset or disconnect the battery helped CMOS), if I swapped processors once more (-> back to their original mobos). The defective machine with Vista had no problems turning, but it did not help the machine running W7.

    Here is the mystery:

I swapped hard drives too, so the only change in their original configuration was the display (swapped defective TFT 1280 x 800 for good LED 1440 x 900) and after that two of them were able to start normally.

But once I erased the disc HARD with Vista on it, which worked very well in the machine where the drive of W7 took forever to start and reloaded Windows 7 at this disk, the problem returned.

Now I have two T400s with Windows 7, but rather of takes ages to start.

  • BlackBerry Z10 Blackberry Virgin Z10 (100%)

    Hello

I've had my Z10 for a little over a month now and it has been working well, I love it!

Two days ago, all of a sudden, I couldn't open the my apps, etc., nothing worked, so I'm the in the power button, phone turned off and restarted and then it was stuck on the BB logo or 100%.

It is on this screen since Tuesday, today is Thursday. I took on Tuesday the battery and SIM card, but put back in place and have since Tuesday night. Phone was on charger since lastnight, but still remains at 100%.

Oh and it is a prepaid phone (C-cells)

Please if someone has somehow to get out of it, I can't afford to go another day without my phone, feels as if my life is standing still without it!

    Thank you very much!

Seems that you encounter a stuck start situation. The bad news is that you will lose your data if it has not been previously saved.

The good thing is that you can get your phone working again by reloading your OS.

If your phone can be detected by BBLink, you can select 'Reload' BONES to reload your configuration of snd OS your phone as a new phone.

Let us know if it works, otherwise we can use another way.

  • New PC Toshiba laptop, Windows 8 is broken

I just bought a laptop Toshiba p70 brilliant, pre-loaded with windows 8. Ive tried to get my bearings as im much more familiar with XP, but im having a problem serious.

Windows Update does not work. (I tried the application of the resolution of the problems, it just gets stuck start bits service after her stop them)

Windows store does not work. I discovered this when I read that the application Microsoft Fix - It has been recommended to solve the above problem. He told me that the application was not made for my version of windows, so I tried to go to 8.1 and I can't.

Windows Firewall does not illuminate. It's just the habit. I click Activate, and he sits there and doesn't do a thing.

IM handcuffs here. The solution is a new problem. I can't update, I can't upgrade. I can't solve the problem because theres more problems. The laptop has 16 GB of ram, i7 processor, im not working do not with a dog here, and microsoft has just completely dropped the ball.

I'd also like to mention is my Toshiba Service Station will not be updated. I have Internet connectivity, Firefox and IE works, but what's new more I explore the more white screens stuck loading I receive. That's why I tried to update. Ad nauseam.

My last laptop was a l300 preloaded with Vista. And I worked around it for all of 2 weeks before the headaches became so crazy I have she dumped for XP. But this laptop was underpowered, under Vista and had much more flexibility with XP.

ID rather not have to drive all the way back to Future Shop to the difficulty a lot of questions that have nothing to do with them. Ive google of these problems, but I don't know where to start. I tried stop bits in the command prompt and it used to do. Besides, why should I pay for software that needs to be painstakingly repaired? Instead of spending hours searching, I say drop a line here could raise some results while I move on to sift through thousands of threads on this site among other people trying to get a functional operating system operational. Any ideas?

I owe you guys an apology. I solved the problem last night. While exploring the center of the action, I noticed that the firewall was turned off and I could not activate it. I opened the windows firewall settings and found the problem. Norton internet security operated instead of the firewall. It came preloaded on the phone, but I had never him has allowed or enabled services, but it is running. Have a deep hatred seed its garbage software and symantec, I removed all traces of it from the computer. Alto, EACH issue is resolved.

So is this Toshiba who charge this extra software on the operating system? Because he does not play well with windows. Once again I apologize for being quick to blame microsoft, my vista experience is to blame.

If support engineers, you first recommendation for software questions should be remove any Symantec software before troubleshooting. Maybe add it to the windows defender malware definition files as it might as well be a virus itself.

    Thank you.

  • ESXi installation problem

    Hello

    I install Esxi - 5.0 on the i3 system.

Previously, this system was 4 GB of RAM and now we have updated to 8 GB x 2 = 16 GB

After upgrading the RAM, I am unable to install Esxi.

I started the Setup-> CD Boot-> after the first screen, it is stuck @ starting VMkernel initialization...

    And blocking system.

    Help, please...

To test the memory, you can use Memtest: http://www.memtest.org/

You can also have a corrupt ESXi install image, however if you installed successfully with the disc before that is probably not your problem.

  • Trying to save several variables

I'm working on a deployment script, my goal is now to save the virtual machine name and a personalized vCenter attribute called "assignee" in a variable, I want the name of the variable for the actual name of the virtual machine to make it easier.  The "assignee" attribute is what it sounds just like the name of the person assigned to the virtual machine.  When I deploy new virtual machines they will have the same name VM and the transferee will be the same, so bascially, it's a pull down the current info, then a put option at the back of this same info

So I'd like something like this:

    $VMname = $VMname, "John D".

    $VMname1 = $VMname1, ' Jane D.

    and so on.

I have a small amount of code I try to use to get to work, really nothing of depth:

    Get-file test. Get - VM | {foreach}
    If (($_ |)) Get-Annotation - customAttribute "assignee") .value - gt 0)
    {$temp, $temp1 = @($_.name, ($_ |))} {(Get-Annotation-CustomAttribute_"Assignee").value)}
    }

Any help is appreciated... Thank you

There was indeed a missing brace (copy/paste is not my friend).

  • ReadyNAS Pro 6 is stuck at the start...

The ReadyNAS Pro 6 is running OS 6.4.1. It has 6 x 4TB Seagate disks and runs since sept 2013 OS6.

1.5 weeks ago about the NAS got does not. The screen was black and did not respond to the power button. Also, there not respod on SMB, HTTPS or SSH application.

I held the power button for a hard reset, the system was running from 21 to 24, then it's the same thing. I did a hard reset with the power button, but the system got stuck on Booting... I have powered the 25 and the start menu. I tried to run a test drive, he counted records (indicating the disk numbers) and has begun to rise 1%. The next morning the system still worked Testing (remember exact) just read on the screen.

Now I tried to reinstall OS, but the system has been slain at the start... FW update (no figures for disks are displayed on the screen). I guess the next thing to try is the recovery from USB?

Replied to your MP that you sent earlier this morning.

  • Thunderbird is stuck on the start page of mail (Mac, Mavericks)

Thunderbird has been working well on my Mac, but after the last update + restart, it seems to be stuck on the mail start page. Here is a screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/gKFjEaH.png

When I click on 'read messages', it is said so "host contacted, the connection information," has no effect. I tried to drag the window from left to right to see if something is missing (it is not), see > > records > > all (it is already) and go > > folder > > my e-mail address > > Inbox (nothing happens).

He can still send messages without a problem. I can't get to the Inbox.

Any other ideas? Is this some sort of bug? Very much appreciated.

Given that you cropped the image, I have to ask. The pane in what folders should appear seems to be present. You say that it's completely empty? Not even a single entry?

    If so,.
Restart Thunderbird in the Help menu with the disabled modules and see if that solves the problem.

Then, open the profile folder (there is a button in the troubleshooting information in the Help menu to do it.) close Thunderbird and delete or rename the files to panacea.dat ANDS foldertree.json

If who disobeys, repeat and delete the session.json file. The first two are simply cache files. The last one contains some parameters of the interface as the reading pane is enabled or disabled and what tabs are open. Really, I don't think that it is an issue, but that he loss of settings is only slightly inconvenient if the other two don't work.

I have a Pavilion G6 accompanying win 8 and I've updated to 8.1.   Normally, works very well.  But sometimes if it is not stop properly, or after updates, it gets stuck in the rotating balls forever.   Usually after 3 stops forced, I get repair folollowed preparation of the diagnose sceens pc, and then it works when I select restart.    A few times I had to go through the process several times, but so far, it has always started.

    Any suggestions?

Make a diagnosis via hard drive BIOS

Restore the default settings of the BIOS
