• ReadyNas 104 web inaccessible gui

  So today I wanted to connect on my ReadyNAS however windows was invited me for a user name when trying to access actions to explore what was new and since I tried to enter the password twice without success I wanted to connect the Web gui to check what was going on.

  However the web gui is not available (page does not load as if the service is not running). I change not all apps on the last time I got it online (I usually do not install anything because I just use it as a storage/backup). I tried to reset the Firmware in the start menu, without great success except that now, even the windows sharing appears no more.

  The NAS is started perfectly, saying: it is enough space availabe and it also gets an IP address from my router. Unfortunately I had disabled SSH and also after reset it the firmware's default deativated for sure.

  I have several terabytes of data on these discs, which I just can't afford to lose just because of a software hiccup. Is there an easy way to solve this problem by reinstalling a newer OS or something?

  Reverse your two SMB changes with

  SC.exe config lanmanworkstation depend = bowser/mrxsmb10/mrxsmb20/ins
  SC.exe config mrxsmb20 start = auto

  These changes should not have had any effect on access by web browser anyway, because the browser is not via SMB.

  As before, you need to run CMD as administrator, and then restart when you are finished.

• Extract the data from the ReadyNAS Duo 3 to disk?

  I have a ReadyNAS Duo chassis crashed with two drives of 3 TB in it. Both discs seem to work very well.

  How can I do to retrieve the data from disks of theses? they were in a RAID 1 configuration, so I guess I just need to extract one of the disks. Does it matter which drive is it?

  I started to connect one of the disks to an installation of Ubuntu and I can find from the disc with respect to the available partitions, but I get no info on the file system used, only that it is flagged as RAID.

  Because I don't want ot destroy all the data I was very careful when working with the partitioning tool. So far, I've installed and looked parted, gparted, gdisk and a few others.

  Since I'm really new to Linux, I need more detailed assistance with indicators to be used to access the drive.

  Any input is highly appreciated.

The reason why I ask that it is the customer that I support has no real technical knowledge and it's always a matter of concern for me when I am not available.   My Readynas 104 unit is in a suspended state. Power blue led continues to blink (for hours) when I restarted after a power failure. The disply screen says "READYNAS 6.4.0" and no button works. I can only remove the power cable and connect back to try again to start, but even once, he ends up in the same State of the Power LED flashes continuously.

  Device answering queries ping but actions / iSCSI and admin page not available.

• ReadyNAS NV + RND4000 ability

  We rotated a ReadyNAS NV + RND4000 for several years now, with a single 3 TB drive. Running XRAID, we had 700 GB of storage space.

  Recently, we needed for this title, so bought two several drives 3 TB and installed. However, our ability is blocked at 1.4TB - double the original 700 GB. As far we could tell when we bought the original SIN, it is compatible with 3 TB drives, but we feel that we would have a LOT more available space. For the first drive, we just assumed 700 GB was all that remained of disk 3 TB after firmware, XRAID, etc., but we were expecting a much bigger upgrade in quality with two drives of 3 TB extra installed.

  I have read that sometimes one needs to reset to factory default, but this poses a bit of a problem, because we would need save backups of everything currently on the NAS.

  Any help to understand what we could do wrong would be appreciated before that we need to use a reset.

  You are running the latest firmware of production for your NV +.

  The v2 uses a very different material. The operating system for the v2 does not work on the v1 and vice versa.

  So you should get drives of 2 TB for your NV + v1 or get a new ReadyNAS (note the format RAID is different so the disks must be cleaned by the new NAS).

  Thanks for the suggestions. I ended up buying a new hard drive, removed the existing is slot 1, replaced with the new hard drive, updated firmware to latest 6.2.2 available then swapped the old hardrive in. Put the new hardrive in the 2 slot, formatted and put everything to RAID 1.

  I need to know what is the operating system of the system, and how I can access! I think it is probably Linux and am ready to install on a laptop so that I could access the readynas's Chitlins.   BTRFS is the file system, not the operating system.

  In regards to the operating system, ReadyNAS OS 6, it is based on Debian Wheezy. Yes, we use Linux.

  You can use PuTTY (SSH/telnet client free) on Windows or Terminal on Mac/Linux SSH in to the ReadyNAS. SSH is a service that you can activate under system > settings > Services. As IX has mentioned you can do a lot of damage if you don't know what you're doing, then you must think carefully if you really want to use it.

  Note that the virtual machine is x86_64 while your 102's ARM so some things will be different, but if you break things to do something in a virtual machine, then you will know not to do on your 102.

  After updating my RN104 (2 TB, 3 TB, 4 TB, 4 TB) to 6.4.1 the weekend last everything works correctly. Today I see the messege "insert a readynas btrfs dir delayed index + ' on the Panel and the main unit is not available any more (I think that this has nothing to with the 6.4.1 upgrade). Backup LED continues to blink and no indication of damaged hard drive. No idea what happened? According to the notifications by e-mail of the system, he showed some virus warning and make a backup (rsync)... This seems to happen suddenly. Any idea what's going on?

  BLUF: Bought 2 new red WD 3 TB disks (WD30EFRX) drives to add to my current 3 x 1 TB. What drive can I delete and in what order? Add to add and to remove the 4th and wait?

• Bluetooth network is not available

  Been trying for a while to use AirDrop on my MacBook Pro (Version OS X El Capitan 10.11.6) and my iPhone 6 s more.

  Just realized today that it might not work because the Bluetooth on the Pro does not work. With each device I try a pairing, it says that the network is not available and that I need to make sure that network access is enabled. Trying to do this, system preferences > network > Bluetooth PAN, I get the same message. I need you to ensure that network access is enabled.

  Someone else had this problem? Any ideas on how to solve it?

  Open system preferences > Bluetooth. Make sure that Bluetooth is enabled.
