ReadyShare on Windows 7

Right, well, I want to install readyshare Vault on my win7 pc, but she can't even find my router R7500. (configured as an access point).

My laptop Win10 has no problem with her...

I closed the firewall, software antiviri, defender of the lot. But still no go on the setup of the vault software.

where can I find this problem?

Hello, Yes, I managed to solve this problem. the only thing I did was to give the windosw 7 static dns 8.8.8.8 pc and then reinstall the program. After he found the dtive on the router I have reset automatic dns from the router and it has been able to keep the parameters of the vault.

very strange if you ask me cos the vault is on the LAN but apperntly it try to find it not by ip address but by dns name, and if you have dns on your pc set to auto, it gives you the dns provider and gateway of routers.

problem solved!

  • WNR2200 Netgear ReadyShare USB storage does not

I have trouble getting the USB ReadyShare working on my router Netgear WNR2200 storage. If I reset the router to factory by using a paper clip and now the reset button in and then just connect a computer to Ethernet, 1 Port, it works fine and I can access by typing just "\\readyshare" in windows Explorer. Unfortunately I can not leave the router with its factory settings as it is not good for my network, I disable DHCP, because it's the 3rd router on my network. The router itself works great when I do that, all the computers connected to have a connection to the internet and can also connect to each other etc... purpose storage readyshare file sharing no longer works. It's just as if she is not there.

While I was trying to experiment when he actually stopped working, so I reset the router to factory settings and started again. Connected to the computer first to 1 Port Ethernet and it worked fine as before. Went in the router settings and turned off DHCP and it has always worked well. It is only when I actually connect the router to other routers which ReadyShare USB storage stops working. When it is assigned an IP address from my main router which is the DHCP I guess? I don't know why that's upsetting it well? I checked on the same workgroup (a setting that I didn't notice initially) but also makes no difference.

Does anyone have an idea what I am doing wrong? I guess it is just configured wrong and it's probably something really simple, but I can't see it. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!

Change the LAN IP is affecting an IP address on the WNR2200 to be in the same range of main router.

You will be able to change this in the LAN Setup.

    The steps would be:

    1. do you have a computer just be directly to the WNR2200 and nothing else.

    2. navigate to the router admin page.

    3. change the LAN IP to a unique IP address, such as 10.0.0.200 or one IP address that is not used in the network.

    4 disable DHCP.

    5. once the settings are saved, connect the main router to one of the WNR2200 LAN ports.

From there, you should be able to access the USB key.

    Let me know what happens.

  • Questions to access the router Netgear WNDR3400 of laptop Readyshare USB disk 64-bit Windows 7

I have a laptop of 64-bit windows 7, which is connected to the router of netgear wndr3400.

I have a USB key connected to wndr3400.

This drive is supposed to be accessible through the path of the \\readyshare\USB_Storage, but I can not connect by typing the path and I'm not under network. I tried to wire the laptop to the router, but the path of the \\readyshare is still not accessible.

There is no firewall on the laptop.

I see other computers on a network in the same network the laptop.

I also have a desktop that is connected (wired) to the router, and the Office can see the \\readyshare subnet. The office is equipped with Windows vista 32 bit.

I would appreciate your help in how to solve this problem.

If you use 3rd party Firewall on, Vista/XP Firewall Native should be disabled, and the active firewall has adjusted to your network numbers IP on what is sometimes called the Zone of confidence (see part 3 firewall instructions

Please Note that some 3rd party software firewall continue to block the same aspects it traffic Local, they are turned Off (disabled).
If possible, configure the firewall correctly or completely uninstall to allow a clean flow of local network traffic.

If you end up with the 3rd party software uninstalled or disabled, make sure that Windows native firewall is active .

  • ReadyShare drive unusable in the DOS command prompt

I have a Nighthawk C700 - AC 1900 WiFi cable router Modem where I configure drive ReadyShare USB access.

When I type the UNC "\\READYSHARE\USB_Storage" and type the Admin password for write access - I "can" see the files/disc in Windows Explorer. I can map the UNC path as a player U:\ and I can see/access it very well in the GUI.

    However...

Once I go to a CMD command prompt (even tried as admin) - I see 'no' this player U:\. Error message = "system cannot find the drive specified."

ReadyShare drive is a USB 2.0 disk formatted in Win7 to NTFS 2 TB external.

    I'm on Windows 10 v1607.

If I connect the USB directly to my computer - I can see/access this drive U:\ locally and use the CMD utilities against it very well (robobopy.exe).

Anyone working on this issue and or knows how to get CMD to use/see the ReadyShare full-access/write?

    Thank you...

    Peter

    Update: it's working now. ?

I've upgraded to the latest version of Windows (1607.14951.1000) 10.

I also upgraded Netgear engineering to v2.4.32.

I "can now use/see the drive Readyshare in a CMD Shell."

I can run normal DOS commands on this very well mapped drive.

I had to modify my script robocopy to remove the /COPYALL and /ZB settings as I guess that Linux/NAS does not support these settings, but I can now, with the click of a shortcut on the Desktop - Sync/restore my files the on the network to the NAS drive.

I don't know if it's the change in Windows or in engineering who has been around.

    hope this helps others too.

  • Cannot access router Readyshare

This topic was preciously posted, but I have still not found no answer. Here's my situation:

-Netgear model router with USB inserted Readyshare C3000.

-Windows 7 access Readyshare desktop computer

-10 Windows laptop already accessed Readyshare. All of a sudden, I get an access denied message saying:

"Not accessible. You may be allowed to use this network resource. Contact the administrator... A specified logon session does not exist. It may already have ended."

    No error number is attached.

None of the network settings on the computer have been modified.

In the file on the PC of 10 window manager I see Readyshare. When I click on it to access the content, I get the above message. He doesn't want a password. It just display the message "access denied."

As for Googleland, I google the subject and found many discussions, but nothing of this has solved my problem. Don't know where to go next. For now, if I want to transfer files between the two systems, I resort to the old-fashioned copy to and from a flash drive way.

  • Flash ReadySHARE disappeared from network drives

Before I could access flash drives connected to my WNDR4500 (v2) by clicking on 'Network' under 'Computer' on my Windows 7 desktop. Since yesterday, the flashdrives have disappeared in this place. I can access it by opening Netgear genius, clicking ReadySHARE and then clicking on the address of the router. Flash drives appear so and I can copy/write normally. It is a cumbersome procedure. That's happened? I made no changes to my system, other than Windows updates to routine.

It turns out that the solution is really much simpler. Instead of addressing the situation through the computer or network, enter Netgear genius, simply click through the ReadySHARE choices and click on the address of the router. When the flash player appears, right-click on it and select "Map network drive." Select any available drive letter and the flash player becomes immediately available under computer.

  • How to install readyshares in kodi?

Hi, this is my configuration, r7500 with the usb storage device connected to it, on the same network I have an android runnning kodi decoder, I can't understand how to add this drive part ready to kodi, http connects but not opening inside kodi no files appear.

on my pc, I know how to connect via \\readyshare, but how to access the \\readyshare kodi? is \\readyshare nfs, ftp, smb?

It should go something like this:

Videos > files > add videos > Browse > Windows (smb) network > workgroup > Readyshare > T Drive (in my case) > OK and then you can name the disc and put your info of scrapers. After that, you should be able to go back to files and see the drive Readyshare it. That's what I did anyway.

  • Unable to connect Readyshare via netgear WNDR3700v2

    Original title: v Readyshare Win7 64bits

I have a netgear WNDR3700v2 which I hooked a USB up to.  My Samsung TV and laptop XP see the end drive - laptop can read and write.  My problem is with my main computer that is running Windows 7 64 bit.  I can see the drive as a network media device and that you can look at these files, but I do not see the drive as a drive to add files/folders.  I can access via a web address, but the network address does not work.  Help me please.

I had the same problem for weeks. I have the WNDR3700v2. This is my third Netgear router, so, naturally, I thought it was a problem with the router.

After trying about all the solutions I could find online and face the team of 'support' of Netgear, I decided to uninstall and reinstall the driver for my card wireless on my laptop.

I have an Intel Centrino Advanced N-6230 wireless card. He was a pilot with a date of October 2011 before uninstalling. I uninstalled the driver and let Windows 7 automatically install a driver when you restart. He installed a driver 21/06/2011.

ReadyShare now appears in my network (workgroup name is the same on the router) and I can map the drive again once more.

    I hope this helps.

  • How to activate ReadySHARE using NETGEAR WNDR3400v2

    Original title: readyshare problem

I hava a netgear WNDR3400v2 I have not been able to activate the readyshare in my laptop. I tried in a few different ways it can't solve my problem can you please give me the solution

    Hello

Thanks for posting the request in Microsoft Community Forums.

What happens when you enable ReadySHARE? Do you get any error messages?

Perform the steps mentioned below and then check if it solves the problem. You can also disable antivirus program.

Step 1: Turn off the antivirus program

    Temporarily disable the antivirus program

    Caution:

Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Step 2:

Follow this PDF document on how to join the cloud ReadySHARE.

    http://www.NETGEAR.com/assets/landing/ReadyShare/ReadySHARE_Cloud_Flyer_12JULY2011.PDF

    a. click the Start button

    b. type \\readyshare.routerlogin.com , in the search box and press on enter.

    c. This should open a window with an inner folder similar to the USB storage device.

I could not find WNDR3400v2 in the list of supported models ReadySHARE provided in this article. However, you can follow the procedure described here to see if that helps.

    http://www.NETGEAR.com/landing/en-us/ReadyShare.aspx

If the problem persists, I recommend you contact the NETGEAR Support for more information.

Hope this information helps. Response with status so that we can help you.

  • I resized the Partition Mac to make more space for BootCamp and now Windows will not boot

On a collague MacBook Air running 10.11.4, we used disk utility to reduce the Mac Partition so that we could then use a Windows tool to extend the BootCamp partition. However, upon restart, we got a BACK screen with the error that Windows cannot start because it cannot find the boot device.

This is not a mechanism supported by Apple to change the size of the Windows partition. Apple supports the remove/reinstall only.

We try to remedy. Please after the release of the following OSX Terminal commands.
