  I am also having the same problem. Run ridiculously hot and battery only for half a day, if I'm lucky. I've had the phone for 2 weeks now. My IPhone 6 never had these problems, and the battery should last the whole day without incident.

  I tried to disable the notifications push and push mail in hope, this may solve the problem, but using the phone this morning the phone become very hot and went down to 10% in charge while checking a few emails. It's certainly not right. I posted a complaint on the Apple Support page. If all goes well, they will be able to do something on this issue, because there is clearly a problem across many users. I've just updated my phone to 10.0.2 in the hope that this can help. Fingers crossed!

  Seriously, is there an EASY way to choose the songs or artist on the Apple TV?

  I can't believe that it should be this hard. I am a subscriber of Apple's music is my iTunes stuff in the cloud and see Apple TV. Everything is good. Random play is ok.

  But when I want to play an album by an artist of some, that's where the trouble begins. I have the music so that if I wanted to play something of an artist who is towards the end of the list, I have to scroll through all along, that takes forever with this remote control (which I hate). I did find a work around. Do you have?

  Apple TV app on the iPhone is ridiculous. It is only a mirror of the Apple Remote hardware. There is no additional functionality for the collection of the artist or a song directly from there.

  Please don't suggest using a mac or ios device to listen to my music, it's inpractical in my case. Apple TV should justify its price to pay by giving all round independent musicplaying service.

  Really don't know what you're doing, but I'm not all that hard.

  First I will say that in general I just ask siri play an album that she does.

  However there are times where I don't remember the names of all the albums, in such cases (let's go with the stones on this one), I dictate "Rolling Stones" in the search field, select it in the list that appears, and then switch the selection of Apple's music to my library, I have now www all my stones albums that I have in my library listed.   I suggest you remove the Avast software according to the instructions of developers. You need anti-virus software on your Mac and often through other reports Avast here seems regarded as a cause of potential problems.

  If you do remove it, restart the Mac and the test. If it makes any difference once Avast is removed, you can always reinstall it if you feel that you need (even if you haven't).

• I can't get to Yosemite... and I REALLY need. Help!

  So I have a Mac Pro running 10.8.5 and I really need to update to Yosemite. Because I use a lot of hardware and software Audio Pro, I can never run because of instability the last OS X / incompatibility issues. My version of Pro Tools HD still does not support El Capitan at all, so even if the next operating system is about to be released, I can't yet day to the current version.

  I have Yosemite in my list of "Bought" from the App Store, because if I updated it before, it would have made my system useless. I also have a MacBook Pro that has been bundled with Yosemite, but may not work on a way to be able to install this OS on the desktop computer. I even created an external drive using the recovery mode, then together drive as boot on the office recovery mode drive, entered trying to install anywhere on the desktop, but after that I have put in my Apple ID at the beginning of the install said 'article temporarily unavailable' or something to that effect.

  It took me 15 hours just to make this recovery disk because my internet is so slow here, and I even nowhere more closely for Yosemite on my Mac Pro. So I'm pulling my hair out here... hoping someone has an answer as to how I can get Yosemite on my machine?

  I accidentally deleted permanently 'iPhoto events' album of my iPhone > iCloud > Mac. I went from 8 000 to 2,000 photos. I've restored some of them of an old backup from time machine (March, 2013). My iCloud account clearly reflects the deletion. I was told that the hard drive data recovery options were futile, because data have been obliterated. Ditto for the Flash to the iPhone. I have renounced all forms of recovery of data a week ago, but now this question keeps nagging me: maybe I missed something? My precious photos are REALLY gone?

  What do you think average them permanently deleted, do you mean you deleted and then removed again from the recently deleted album.

  The iPhone path > iCloud > Mac doesn't mean anything to me, I'm afraid, but if the pictures have been synchronized on your Mac and you use time machine on the Mac, photos should be recoverable.

• Odd - reboot has really a stop, and al.

  I have a MacBook Pro with a couple, 3 really, questions and I was wondering if someone could enlighten me on what is happening.

  A friend gave me his mid 2009 MacBook Pro model 5.5 because it didn't work well for him once he replaced the whole entire lid.  The original was seriously cracked and it replaces itself.

  He told me that the screen turns off after 5 to 10 minutes of use and the fan ran all the time, so he thought it was time to replace it so he gave me the laptop.  It is currently running 10.6.8.

  After using for a few days, I have determined that the battery is very low and was causing me the laptop stop after a few minutes of use, even with the laptop plugged.  I think that the battery was in a bad state that it was draining the power even if it was plugged.  I unplugged the battery and just having the charger plugged and now the MBP stays on all the time.

  It's that has left me speechless now that I need help on other issues.

  1. the fan runs all the time, and I hear all the time.  As soon as you press the power button on the fan gets to what is perhaps not at full speed, but it is significant, 3,000 (?) rpm of maybe.  Until the operating system is already started, before the bong never rings, until the screen logo gray Apple, the fan works.  I did the reset SMC and LANDAU.  Wifi in the menu bar icon says "No card installed Airport", which is probably a result of installing the cover itself.  The replacement cover, he got a person had inside Airport card or it didn't connect the cables when you fix the cover to the case.  I wonder if it can be related to that.  Any ideas?

  2. a kernel_task works with high CPU all the time.  It starts about 2 or 3 minutes after logging into his account and is used about 90% CPU according to activity monitor.  In safe mode, it works only 3.4%, so something is raising with a normal startup.  There are no startup item and any current application running when I see that.  Should I look for something in the Extensions folder (not sure what to look for), or the LaunchAgents and LaunchDaemons folder (ditto)?  How can I determine what is the cause?

  3. restart acts as Shutdown.  No matter how to choose "Restart", within their account or when you connect, the computer stops and never restarts.  When I installed Snow Leopard and said he had to turn it back on, it does not restart, it stop and I had to be able to save.  What is the cause?

  I erased the disc and did a re-install Snow Leopard costs, but there is no change to these questions.  I'll have to ask him how he cracked his original screen.  There is no evidence of the abandonment of the laptop, but who knows what might have happened.

  I'm not going to spend a lot of time on this laptop, but if anyone has any ideas on the three mentioned above, I'd be happy to hear from you.
