• Anomaly of the Atrix car Dock recognition

  I noticed a quirk in the behaviour of my Atrix intermittent when I put it in the Dock of the car. The scenarios and the results are as follows:

  1. If I place the Atrix in car dock before I start my car (which provides power to the USB plug), the phone does not recognize the dock and is therefore not in car mode. If I take the phone out of the dock and put it in after the car was launched (and the dock is powered), it goes into car mode.
  2. If I start the car until I put the Atrix in the dock, the phone goes into mode car without fail. After that, the phoe seems not to care whether the platform is powered and will recognize when it is removed or inserted in the dock (probably because the application is still running in the background and yet was killed by the Androids Task Manager).
  This isn't a criticism, just an observation. Has anyone else noticed a similar behavior?

  I have the latest official firmware (point 1.8.3), spin not the task managers, and is the only application that I host monitoring State is the application of profiles of setting (Probeez). I use it to automatically turn on the Bluetooth when I put the phone in the car dock. In any case, I do that the phone is unlocked until I put it in the dock so I don't end up having hit to swipe a fingerprint to use the phone when it is in the dock.

  This has been noticed and mentioned in several discussions in this forum. The engineering team has been notified and if everything goes well it is addressed. However, if it bothers you that much, you can use a generic USB (not the motorola one that came with the dock) and it will work . Don't ask why . Or you can disconnect and reconnect the usb in the charger. I find it easier then unplug and plug the phone all the time.

  Hey guys, I was watching this video on YouTube comparing the 2 Atrix and Droid RAZR and saw a pretty cool widget called 'Favorites '. I don't remember seeing something like that on my own, so I checked and no, don't have it. Guys do you have it? Everyone keeps posting the apk for it if so, and if not, can you point me in the right direction to get it?

  To be honest. I was a bit disappointed to see the Atrix dominates all the categories, but I'll get over it.

  BTW, with my phone being run ADW Launcher EX, Exchange, Push email, auto brightness, GPS, etc... (normal use mode)

  I get 54.2 FPS on Neocore... which is what it looks like they got. No idea if he can do better, but still, I will resume the extra 512 MB of RAM and higher resolution screen a synthetic benchmark better every day.

  I'd like to buy one of these 3000mah battery for my atrix more 2, but where I live I can only find this battery for the atrix 4g and im not sure if it works on the atrix 2.

  The Atrix 4 G battery is not the same as the Atrix 2.

  Atrix 2 is HW4X

  Atrix 2 extended is BW8X

  The only other phone I can find with the same battery is the Droid Bionic, but the battery door does not have the Atrix 2 of course.

  Thank you for your comment. As you pointed out, the phone's calendar was not pointing to my Exchange calendar. I searched around and found (in calendar entry) only by pressing Menu, then more, I was able to assign a calendar item to one of my calendars online. I took the Exchange. Since then, all calendar items went to Exchange, so I think the phone selects the last current default sync account.

  I have a sort of a time reading incoming and outgoing SMS on my iPhone 3G so it's time to upgrade.

  I like the sound of the Atrix and would like to know:

  The release of Gingerbread will allow font changing on the Atrix for incoming and outgoing text messages?

  Is there an "app" that who will now offer just in case where ir isn't?

  I've seen people write about Handcent but I'm not clear if it will do what I need.

  My view isn't ideal for heavy work, that's why I need to increase the font size.

  I'm open to other suggestions of phone Android if you think it will make a difference.

  I installed it on my phone to test and see and it works very well on the incoming and outgoing messages.

  I have a DELL Precision T7500 with an eSata connector on the rear of the machine - all my existing SAS and SATA ports on the motherboard are taken and I want to connect an external SATA drive.  How to get power to the drive?

• The Atrix dock car

  Hi all

  I've been running my Atrix with webtop without no problem, however, I bought a car dock yesterday and have not been able to have the car dock to launch the app at all.

  At first I thought it was because the USB slot on my helmet pushed only 500mA as opposed to 1000mA and thus, perhaps, the phone was not recognizing the dock. So, I went to radio shack and bought a fast charger which grow a 1000mA to see if that would make a difference. No dice. I tried to turn my phone on and off as well as activating / disabling the various switches to power satellite, wireless and bluetooth, and that does not work either.

  I had a problem with the speaker of the phone then I exchanged it for another new Atrix address this problem of rattling. I had hope that maybe a new phone would also good launch of the car dock app. That no longer works. Needless to say, I still love the phone, but I'm tired of trying to have the car dock function correctly.

  I can do to get the car dock app runs automatically without having to download a third party home app?

  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  DROID Bionic is a Verizon and Atrix phone with various retailers and suppliers. The upgrade may be a little different between devices.
