  VCenter or vCenter services restart will not affect the virtual machines.

  vCenter - software of management for the multiple ESX, all virtual computers will run under ESX, so resrarting vCenter will not affect running virtual machines.

  You cannot manage vCenter until you restart, DRS will also not fuction at that time.

• Reboot Server 2008 VM logs

  Hi all, I have a Server 2008 x 86 built as a server VM. The server must be restarted a few days ago, as it appears that it was the scarcity of resources. Since it was done by someone else I have not an accurate picture of what was going on with the server. I can access the server through client VSphere & would like to know how can I access this virtual machine logs to understand what happened? Maybe the resources have been used, but not released? May be inflating or memory swap that happened? I looked at the Windows Server logs, but couldn't find anything substantial. Is there anything these logs saved? If Yes, where? I thank in advance.

  There are several options to get VM connects by using only the vSphere client.

  a. produce support beams using vSphere Client (see vmware KB article 653)

  b. use vSphere PowerCLI cmds (1027932 KB)

  c. use extractlog.pl to extract the vmware.log of virtual machines (this tool is part of vsphere SDK for Perl package)

                   --vmname ABC
  

  d. you can even navigate through files of vSphere data store Explorer client virtual computers folder and copy the vmware.log file

• CF10 App running after reboot server. but website not available until the service restarts

  Hello, everyone.

  I recently returned from a work I've already had several months to another position.  On my return, I inherited someone another dev system (my old dev system, apparently, had been reimagee and given to someone else, after my departure).

  This system initially had CF9 server on it (the ColdFusion9 folder is still there) and now CF10.  By using the web server integrated (without IIS, no Apache)

  Whenever I have start/restart of the system, I can see in the computer management system Application Server is, in effect, running CF10.  But if I try to open the pages that I work, I get an error message cannot find the site.

  I'm in the computer management system, go to Services, right click on the application CF10 server, choose "Restart", wait until she finishes, and voila!, I get a page to work.

  Anyone know why this is happening or how to fix so that CF will work immediately after the start/restart without having to restart the service?

  Still don't know why CF showed that "started" when clearly he wasn't - but I found the culprit.  WebTrends.

  I have no idea why WebTrends has been installed on a system of dev (isolated from the internet), but that's it.

  I uninstalled WebTrends, restart the system, and (surprise!) the CF Server displays pages with no problems.

• Server 2012 jumps before 7 hours and 2 minutes or 2 to 4 new minutes during a reboot

  Whenever I reboot server running 2012 on my domain it is past directly on reboot for 2 to 4 minutes or 7 hours and 2 minutes and that the NTP server corrects for the final stages at the start. I looked on the Microsoft, HP and Dell websites with no luck. Any help would be appreciated.

• Oracle Enterprise Manager 12 c SGD Server does not start every time that I reboot

  appreciate your help and your advice on this matter.

  I have a box of Oracle VM configured with windows 2008 R2 Server OS.

  Installed Oracle Database 11g, created a database instance and set the requirements to install more Oracle Enterprise Manager 12 c.

  Every time when I reboot my Windows Server 2008, I have a very hard time from the SGD server

  do a few permutations and combinations for the start of services and get the login page of EM 12 c

  Below error is more frequently encountered:-

  Yes - there are a LOT of docs on the web. Just use your favorite search engine and the search for them. They are EASY to find.

  But the SMARTEST thing would be to find the problem with the original database and fix it.

And it is difficult to start the server weblogic manually after each rebooted server. The operating system on the application server is primarily Windows 2012.   This problem has been resolved by disabling Windows NLB NETWORK adapter settings.

  We used Windows NLB long back for security servers, recently we removed view Security Server NLB Windows and place in F5 load balancing.

  Not sure for some reason, the Windows NETWORK load balancing service came active, disabled, and the problem solved.

• FMS 4.5 livepkgr application breaks down Linux server using any memory

  We run FMS 4.5.7 associated with the application of the standard livepkgr for direct RTMP and HLS (HDS module disabled streamer). For some reason any after 30 minutes process httpd starts using memory system more and more, and in a minute or two, it blocks the server because it completely empty memory. It doesn't matter how many users are connected to the stream. What I've noticed, is that if there is no user HLS (or HLS is disabled) fine, however it is enough to connect at least one user TLS on the server after 30 minutes and the memory usage begins to increase. If the user connects to 0 - 30 minute window it market.

  I tried to play with the recording options in Event.xml for that stream to flow, but it did not help. I tried to save in a file and in segments.

  Our server has 32 GB of RAM.

  We have modified the file of Apache configuration for workflow Sandbox HLS at the instance level, but it should not be a problem, shouldn't it?

  P.S. We also run application vod in parallel for RTMP and HLS vod streaming. RTMP of VSD and CTS works very well.

  After two weeks, I finally solved it.

  Anyone faced with the same question, make sure you have the serial number of the license charge AND fully rebooted server. At least under Linux by restarting the server through Flash Media Administrator Console let some zombie processes running that blocks the license from loading correctly. Restart all OS instead.

• OpenManage 7.4.0 do not pick up disk failure or removal until you restart

  I've been rebuild a Dell T310 customers with new 4 x 450 GB SAS Raid 10, using his H200 raid card and that you have installed Windows HyperV 2012R2.

  All software packages, drivers, and software have been installed and updated, and I began to test my OMSA DellAlert.ps1 script for notification by e-mail.

  I decided to get one of the 4 drives to test the notification, but OMSA has not detected any withdrawal from disk! Very disturbing! I left that he unplugged for 9 hours and always OMSA showed 4 discs online. Even refreshing the OMSA browser, or closing and reopening the browser has not changed anything. Only when I reboot the server it then shows a disc had been removed and my script notified E-mail me this.

  I pushed the disc in and again 3 hours later OMSA has yet to show that nothing has changed. Discs 3 and 4 activity watch as they rebuild but if OMSA is not displayed any changes how I'm destined to receive alerts to show when a disk has failed and raid has deteriorated.

  I can't put this server back in my client until this issue is resolved. Has anyone seen or had this problem before? Any help would be grateful. I guess my next step will be decommissioning OMSA and firmware etc or reconstitution with 2012 HyperV server test.

  Update 1 - if I stop and restart the Server Administrator service and DSM SA Data Manager then the notification comes through and loggin in the OMSA shows the missing disk.
  The LCD on the server changes to orange as soon as the disk is pulled so the underlying hardware seems to work ok, it just seems to be the OMSA 7.4.0 2012R2 HyperV software.

  Update 2 - I've upgraded OMSA to 7.4.0.1 and nothing has changed. I noticed that the show OMSA Embedded System Management (ESM) logs MAKE a disk has been deleted or inserted, but the section alerts and all other areas of the OMSA show no changes until the services are restarted or rebooted Server!

  Fix possible update 3 - I reinstalled a copy eval 2012R2 with a graphical interface to see if that fixed it but it was always the same questions. My only solution seems to be 7.4.0 uninstall and install OMSA 7.3.0. I now put my HyperV 2012R2 system on and confirm that the 7.3.0 works as well for her.

  Our engineering has checked this issue. 7.4 OMSA does not properly report status on the H200 and SAS 6/ir changes. This affects programs such as OpenManage Essentials and OpenManage for VMware Vcenter integration using OMSA to monitor servers.

  A fix is planned with OMSA 7.4.0.2

  If this is not the case, there are 3 methods to remove it.

  Method 1:

  You can remove the old power off computers network on your router/modem, which will have a list of home computers > Home Network > Display Devices. Hit the set up on this screen allows you to delete the old computers from the list.

  Method 2:

  Another method to try is to clear the DNS cache:

  1. click on start

  2. open the administrator mode command prompt and type "ipconfig/flushdns", and restart.

  Method 3:

  Have you tried to reboot server from a cold start? Cold start
  turned off, unplugged, power cable means not only the computer switch
  off, for at least 30 seconds, a minute or more is better.

  All computers OFF, removal of tension (pull the plug if you have to; not of power
  depend on the power switch; It's not always really 'off').

  Wait 30 seconds or more. Turn on the server machine. Let boot completely.

  Then:
  
  Do a restart of the server computer, you just start. It's just insurance,
  sort of a fail-safe action.

  Now power on other machines. the list has to rebuild properly.
  EMI at least.

  If you have problems with GROUPS, I think that can be deleted. Or
  renamed, all that is necessary. Remember, each machine needs a group and the
  the same group, to include IN a group.
