Receipt of Smartphones Read blackBerry

I'm changing the ability to send a read receipt (when I'm in my office with outlook, I have that option) this will be possible on my BB?

I have the following in the Message Options?

General options

E-mail settings

Send email to Pocket

Save copy in sent folder

Signature auto use

Use of the response from the Office

Enable HTML email

Automatically download images

E-mail filters

Email reconciliation

Spell check

I expected for a list of email settings be more complete? Could the Service deleted some of my options?

Thank you

Chris

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

You didn't say, but what you describe indicates that you are on the BES (rather than BIS). Therefore, these parameters are the complete list of your BES settings that are controllable by users on the BB. To make changes to how read received are managed for BES users, the changes on the BES server itself.

  • KB13610 Allow or deny read receipts

In addition, according to the messaging in place environment (e.g., MSExchange, Notes, etc.), things could also work differently. You should go see your BES admins as they are in control.

Hope that helps!

I guess, since you are in a Java forum, that you plan to Java development.  There are a number of other options.  But looking at Java:

You are concenred about what level of JDE?  Look here:

Or choice JDE or Eclipse?  If so choose Eclipse.

It may be that when it was entered, there was a spelling error and what we think it should be wrong.

If that's the case, then this account ID to BB is probably lost for good... all activities must have access to the email address and the email address is the same as the user name, if there is a mistake, then there is no way to receive emails of validation required in order to continue to use this BB ID.

Yes... that's indeed what you need TO do in order to change the real ID of BB that is associated with the BB:

  • BlackBerry Smartphones read emails on Blackberry are not marked as read in GMail

    Hi all

I just upgraded to the 9650 the 8530 and after serious problems finally got so that I could read my emails.

The problem I have now is that on one of my gmail accounts does not seem to recognize when I read an email via my blackberry. Previously on my 8530 (and before that, the 8330), seconds after that I read an email on my blackberry, it'll show such as read on the gmail website.

Either way, I don't have this problem with my second g-mail account.

Thank you in advance for your help!

BIS has been receiving a lot of updates for GMail... even a plugin on the BB which is supposed to improve the functionality even further. Unfortunately, I chose to use GMail for my BB, so I don't have direct experience with integrated BIS GMail how would work. But, I would say that, like all things financial, past not a good indicator of what it now takes performance would give any changes that have been for GMail via BIS. ;-)

It is quite possible that we use 'old BIS' and the other is using 'new BIS' - withdrawal and return duct BIS is required to receive the new "ENCORE" features. But I worry about who's who in your case - and I fear even that I recently saw so many problems with that (and Yahoo as well). If you're brave, you can remove both of the BIS (and, indeed, all the others you have here) and then wait a while... for more simplicity, I say an hour. Then re - integrate them both and see what happens... at least, in this way, they both would be on the latest version of BIS and the functionality would be the same thing (with, of course, the risk being that neither works the way you want!).

In my case, / unread table was missing from the database of the user. It was too late to do it from the backup.

After checking with the user, so I deleted the BB server with its profile and State db user.

  • Number of Smartphones (de) blackBerry read flag synchronization?

    Hello

I am a potential user of new research on the features of phones and have been amazed by recent discoveries. What I understand a message during playback on my computer desktop computer will not see this message marked as read on my blackberry! (I understand that the reverse does not work...) So this means that when I walk around the Office I have to select all and mark as read all the messages that came during the day? I can't more ridiculous it seems. It's such a basic feature and the IMAP protocol took forever - for a charged system to be so amazing for productivity email that I just can't believe it's really true.

Can you, once for all, confirm this for me?

Are there plans to fix this?

    Thank you

    Rob

Your research is correct, BIS do not reconcile status reading from the IMAP server to the handheld.  (But reading on the handheld, it marks as read on the IMAP server).  You have probably seen this paper: KB05133 with a summary of what is what?

Personally, I can't believe that this can be allowed to continue.  All providers to communicate with the direct server, and for much the absence of this feature could be a deal breaker.

There are of course advantages through BIS - traffic to and from the device is very low.  And the server makes the attachments (docx, xls, pdf, jpg, etc.) so you don't have to worry about having apps to display all types of files and keep them up-to-date formats evolve, etc..

BES doesn't have this problem, but this isn't a solution for individuals.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Read and Type Japanese characters

Hello, I have a BlackBerry Bold 9700 (carrier's TIM), and every time that I use a Japanese site through my phone all Japanese characters appear as black square boxes. I'd like to be able to read correctly view and also be able to type eventually as well.

    Any help?

Hello Ronové and welcome to the community of BlackBerry Support Forums.

You have the language Japanese support package installed? If this isn't the case, you will need to add this to your BlackBerry.

For the steps how to do this, follow the KB13067

Note: Supported languages are determined by the mobile operator. If you do not see that Japanese listed, contact your mobile operator for assistance.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones read Message of Confirmation

    Hello
Can someone tell me what box is to click on the tab sms option to make sure that I get to know when my sms sent has been read by the person receiving my sms.
All together there r 4 options, bt, which is the right one?

    Not quite...

The two teams 'allow' control what is happening on your end, when you receive an SMS. If the sender has a confirmation request (for example, they had their two boxes to 'Confirm' checked), then these selections control "Allow" on your BB if your of will honor this request (the check boxes checked) or ignore it (the unchecked boxes). Sender will have no knowledge of what you have not selected... everything will happen is they will receive or not received confirmation that they asked, as the case may be, you have checked or not checked these boxes "allow."

The second group to 'Confirm' boxes have to do with what you are asking when you send an SMS. If you check these boxes, ask you received for the SMS you send. But, at the reception to you to demand will be dictated by the configuration of the recipient (for example, if the do not check their boxes "Allow", then your request will be ignored) as well as the capabilities of the systems involved in the SMS traffic (for example, the other carrier SMS system can simply ignore your request at the reception).

And Yes, this feature is the same for the email.

It's a strange fact tht'm already report discount for my sms without the option to get the delivery report ON (a small capital D on the sign of the tick)...

It's strange because your image on the screen indicates your BB asking only read received but no delivery. But these elements are odd, especially with SMS. You must put no value in the accuracy of the results of this IMHO.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones read only directory?

There is a music video that came with my "BOLD" I want to rename it, but I get this error message 'Operation not allowed in readonly directory' is there a way to get around this?

Hi and welcome to the forums!

Pre-installed ringtones, images and videos are loaded with the device OS and are read-only as indicated by RIM.

I know of no case via the PC or the BB to rename these files in the memory of the phone.

For all purposes useful that they became part of the device OS.

    I hope this helps!

  • Error reading blackBerry Smartphones Visual voicemail?

    Hi all-

My visual voicemail worked fine until today, when I started to get an error message - when I press the play arrow, it says "Read error" and I can only access the message by calling voicemail.  Anyone who is familiar with that?  Do you think I should do a reset? If so, how do I?

    Thank you very much!

    Nancy

    Hello!

When odd behaviors creep, do a hard reboot battery-pop is usually a good cure. To do this, the unit being turned on, remove the back cover and remove the battery. Wait for about a minute then reinsert the battery and replace the back cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long long long restart the process (perhaps as long as 10 minutes). See if things have cleared up. As all computing devices, a reboot can be a healthy thing... and there is another thread on this forum recommends doing this every 4 days (while we wait for an improved version of the OS).

    See you soon!
