Received a call

Hi, I got a call like others I can see. However, I went as opening cmd to see if my ID series compared to theirs, and he did. After that he told me to go to the warnings and system errors. I went there, but at that time, I said that I had to go. He asked when he could remember. I said that I had no idea. He said do not go to my email account please because I had been hacked. I do not give her any other info then it say that my serial id matched his. I didn't download anything on my computer. So, I am sure. Sound # on my phone is 2157572570

No HP, Microsoft, or any partner will call you for some reason any search on your computer.  If you have been contacted by a person, the person to which ask you is the scammer.  Don't give them any information, do not allow remote access to your computer.  If you gave them any identifying information, then I would be cautious about their component back or try to access your computer remotely.

    Hello Jimmy10 66,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community Support from Apple. I know how it is important to follow your alerts, and I want to help you get your work again.

Before we get too far, it's always a good idea to check that your 'secret' button just above your volume controls is not engaged. If you see that the yellow indicator go ahead and switch to the other position to turn it off.

Alternatively, you can drag up from the bottom of the screen and make sure that the control of "do not disturb" is disabled.

If those who are for the time off, go ahead and restart your phone and retest alerts. If the behaviour continues or if you encounter any problems, please reach out again and let the community know what other steps you have tried. The entire community is here to help.

  • Cannot receive incoming calls

Sometimes. All of a sudden. My phone is in my pocket and someone calls me. I see the cursor that is used to receive incoming calls. But when I slide, nothing happens. Seems that the screen was hung. I remember one day I've relied on the home button and then I could use the cursor and receive the call, but it worked for once. It's boring. I use 6s, latest iOS. Any solution please?

    Hey CoolBrain,

I see that the phone app seems to be freezing when you attempt to drag in order to answer a call. Certainly, this is not an ideal situation, and I am happy to help you get on the path to solving this problem.

Before you start, I would recommend that you back up your device either using iCloud or iTunes using the steps here:

The backup of your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch - Apple Support

After you back up your device, try to restart it at first to see if the problem persists when you receive a call. If the problem persists, try the steps here to force quit the application and try again:

Force an application to close on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch - Apple Support

If the problem persists after trying the above steps, you will need to reinstall the application phone by restoring your iOS software in iTunes. Take a look at the following resources for more information on this process:

Use iTunes on your Mac or PC to restore your iPhone, iPad or iPod settings - Apple Support

Once the restore is complete, try to test "set up in the new" to ensure that the problem does not persist. Once you have finished stable, you can follow the steps here to restore from your backup iOS:

Restore your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch from a backup - Apple Support

    Take care.

  • I allow calls from verified contacts, but still receive unwanted calls

in do not distrub, I allow calls from verified contacts, but always receive unwanted calls, I even got a call with my name in the caller ID!

If you allow calls repeated under tension, then the telemarketers or who calls you are probably recall several times. As for the one with your name in the caller ID, I am one of those who earlier. Turns out be a telemarketing touting T-Mobile robot. I was incredibly ticked. So I got my carrier on the phone a few minutes asking them to open a trace. These calls are illegal.

The foam of telemark will stop at nothing in their attempts to get through you.

  • Cannot make or receive phone calls after the upgrade to iOS 9.2

Last night, I could make and receive phone calls. This morning I upgraded to iOS 9.1 to 9.2, and now I can't make or receive calls.

Any call I make - other iPhones, to landlines, whether on my list of Favorites or not - says 'call X... '. "(where X is the name of the contact - X is omitted if I don't dial a contact). After a few seconds, the phone says "Call ended." and I get three quick tones.

When they call me, it goes to voicemail once they hear 1 or 2 rings. I don't hear anything. The call does not appear in the 'recent' folder, but I received a voice message.

I don't have to "do not disturb" lit.

My iPhone is a 4 s, which can be a key because my wife has a 5. She has just upgraded and has no problem with calls. We are both on the Sprint network, using 'Ting' which is a dealer - so our actual provider's Ting. My phone says "Version 9.2 (13 c 75)", carrier "Sprint 23.0" and model MD377LL/A."

I turned the phone on and off several times, and also to do a reset (now hold both power and home until the apple logo appears). neither helped. I double-clicked the original key and removed the phone application and all other applications, then restarted the phone application, which also helped.

    WiFi works.

A related issue is to: IOS 9.2 update .

    OK, now it works.

I think that what I had was specific to my carrier - as well as anyone with this problem likely needs to communicate with their provider!

For Ting (Sprint), here's what I had to do:

    1. to connect to a Wi - Fi network

    2. dial # 873283 #.

    3. press the call key

    4. press "Start Service Update" and wait a minute or two.

    5. press on "Full Service Update" and wait a minute or two for the phone to reconnect to the Sprint network.

    6. once the upper line shows that Sprint is connected, I could make and receive phone calls.

  • IMessages receiving and calls from girls, it does not!

Ms and my daughter share an Apple ID. She has recently updated to IOS 9 and I am 7. I'm receiving his iMessages and receive phone calls from numbers that we share (not all of them are iPhones). What should we change the setting to stop what is happening? If it goes out his "call forwarding" that she does not get my texts to her. Help!

As you are both sharing the same Apple ID you both will receive the same iMessages. The simplest solution would be to have yourself or your daughter, put in place a new Apple ID and this should solve the problem.

  • Static when taking the first very strong or receive a call

I get a very loud static (squeal noise) during its manufacture or receive a call from 90% of the time.  Most of the time if I move the cursor to another post, he stops.  Other times I just remembered.  Anyone having this problem?  All solutions?

After 2 days and to go to two stores of sprint different they finally fixed my problem.  They replaced the speaker and now my phone seems to work very well.

  • Received a call today about my Microsoft Office

We received a call a few weeks of 'technical support', (the connection was bad, so has not heard if he said Microsoft", telling me that my computer has issues an error message and there phone to help me fix.)  First of all, I said my computer was broken, that he did not believe me.  So I said I called technical support.  He said no, my IP address showed the error, that is why he is phoning.  I said, if there is an error, I can fix it myself.  His reply "no, this isn't a mistake, you can fix it.  If you go to your computer and give me access 5 minutes I can repair it for you"it became enough stress for ant.  Which I never said, 'thank you. Good Bye' and he hung up.

This morning, we receive a call from someone who says they come from Microsoft and he calls about our Office of Microsoft.  It was early in the morning, my husband is not tech-savvy, he said that it was not a good time and can call back you later?

I guess it's also a call not an official Microsoft representative?  (that I did not in any request for support?).  Is this correct?

I tell myself that I should be ready when they call back.
