Received a note about firefox-patchjs... Norton Security warned... is this Ok... allow patch doqnload?

Is this last firefox-safe patchjs... Norton has issued a warning?

It is not Mozilla or Firefox web browser. Fake firefox - patch.exe and firefox files - patch.js can install things like Trojans, viruses, unwanted software or to download some extra stuff on Windows based on previous reports, if the user runs them. The random name of only websites should raise a flag that it was not legitimate.

The Firefox updates have not changed because they are made internally in Firefox (with a type of file .mar) whether on Windows, Mac OSX or Linux (since Firefox 1.5 there is nearly eleven years) or as a download from mozilla.org like saying www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/

You can try to use an anti-ad as uBlock origin extension to block ads false theses if you get them. https://addons.Mozilla.org/firefox/addon/ublock-origin/

Unfortunately this lasts for some time now with a couple new sites reported from time to time but not as well in the last two weeks. https://support.Mozilla.org/en-us/forums/contributors/712056/

Even if you were to download this file firefox - patch.js he is not a risk, unless you had to try and run it.

  • Cannot update Firefox becuse Norton will not update utility password for beta

WHY Firefox keep releasing Betas and not a new final version? Whenever Firefox has a new version, my Norton password utility stops working. Certainly, I have any Norton except disabled password utility, but I need that. I learned to not update Firefox, until Norton updates his stuff to be compatible with the new Firefox. Some time ago, I checked with Norton to see if they had updated yet and it has been said that they would not be up to date for a Beta. Since that time, all updates Firefox have Betas. Since I can't afford to lose my passwords, I don't dare to update Firefox. Why in the He - can't Firefox release a new version so that Norton will update of compatibility, so I can update my Firefox? Just now I'm stuck on Ffx 23, and if they keep releasing anything else than the beta versions, I have to stop using Firefox.

A final version of Firefox 24 will be released next week. You need Firefox 24 to solve a problem with Firefox 23 or can you expect?

Please note that when you install a beta version of Firefox, you will be offered new beta updates (at the present time, these beta versions are the last test builds for Firefox 24). To get the string on the output channel and beta, you can use the installer of Firefox 23.0.1 from the regular download page: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/.

Dear members. I need your help please

I signed the code with Comodo M/s. I wrote the manifest file (and changed so many times) but I still get the Oracle security warning:

"This application will run with unrestricted access, which can put your computer and personal information at risk.

Run this application if you trust the place and the editor above.

I'm must admit am bat / do not understand what I do.

Please I need your help on how to write the code manifest, how correctly put it in the jar and how to reference the html code

The game can be played online from www.hiredforone Day

I need the system clock of the client and also I used getResources() to read images in the jar file

on the site, I have a (Play) button. During a call to the play button, the index page connects to the file play.html which is located in the folder pots.
The file play.html calls the HiredForOneDay.jar file that is located in the folder of the pots. Files such as launch.jnlp, launch.html are all in the jarsfolder.

I didn't send in the manifest code because I did so many versions and now am confused

    Thanks again for your time

I don't think it's possible to prevent the warning message from appearing at least once. There could be an option 'do not show this again' on the dialog box warning that users can check to prevent it from appearing again. Codezone-the only thing I can think is to eliminate the dependency on the system clock client side so that the attribute in the manifest file permissions can be set to 'sandbox' rather than 'all rights '. You don't know if he read images from the same signed jar file still qualified under 'sandbox' - try it and see.

It is worth noting that other publishers Java RIA as the Knowledge Base for the Skillsoft Support are also facing the same issue, and they document simply as a relatively mild warning message.

  • Last download of Norton Security seen cloud 9 virus issue after downloading Firefox opens not said 'cannot find runtime", removed and reinstall XP Pro SP3 work

Running Firefox 36.0.1 an update has been downloaded on 3.19.2015.
Norton said that this is a problem of cloud 9. Subsequently tried to open Firefox,

Deleted Firefox of installed programs, news and everything works great.
2 days later received an update downloaded and exactly the same thing happened.
After removed again, installed new with 36.0.3 and everything works fine again.

It's a problem with Norton and not the Firefox browser with Norton of Suspicious.Cloud claim

She did this false positive Suspicious.Cloud with SeaMonkey for years every so often releases SM and Norton did not bother to fix it. Norton antivirus would claim a virus found in file freebl3.dll only there is not and never has been.

You have to be such a regular occurrence that they still singling out Norton in the known issues for SeaMonkey version notes for a few years as can be seen in http://www.seamonkey-project.org/releases/seamonkey2.33/#issues and appears until Norton finally fix it.

Messages on the claim of Suspicious.cloud with Firefox here (and mozillaZine) were infrequent compared to SeaMonkey.

  • Norton Toolbar does not work with Firefox 17, provided Comcast Norton Security Suite, Win 7.

I have Norton Security Suite provided by Comcast. Norton Toolbar does not work with Firefox 17.0.1 on my Win 7 machine. I lived all the questions on this topic and did all the steps and when I click on "Add-ons", he always says that the toolbar is not compatible. It works with IE, but I prefer to use Firefox.

I had the same problem in the past. If you call customer Norton service toll-free they have always helped me start (without charges) when I have updated to a new version of Firefox - seems to happen every time even if I run the updates regularly. Hope that this phone help-Norton support is always very friendly and helpful-just Google their 800 number.

  • Receive an error about a missing file message when I try to open Firefox

When I tried to open Firefox today I received a message about a missing (Wrusr.ddl) file and that Firefox was not able to open. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but it did not work. I have no idea what this file is or where it went. I used Firefox 2 days ago and it was working fine. The only thing that changed between then and now was that I renewed my antivirus software but I certainly did not remove all the files and I made sure that Firefox is permitted to access the internet. I use this same software (Webroot) with Firefox for years and never had any problems until today. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I've included a screenshot of the error message below.

  • Firefox will not load https pages. gives the security warning and will not accept an exception.

I had problems with Firefox and some sites for about a year, and it is located in my laptop. I have no problems when using my desktop at work or my dad's cell phone in his house. Some sites simply returns a page of text style; no html. Other sites give me a security certificate warning and FF will not accept an exception for this site, either by clicking the button or manually enter the site as an exception. Tonight, GOOGLE will not load again! Why, it's trying to load on an https server, I don't know, however. Several other sites have also begun does not not and are also trying to load it on a secure server.

Use Kaspersky, AVAST 2015, ESET, BitDefender or Microsoft family safety? These are among the most popular security programs which have a function to intercept your Internet connections and filter your traffic. When it's a secure site, in order to be able to decrypt and inspect your communications, the software must present a false certificate for Firefox. Sometimes, the software is not able to configure Firefox for this, or if you use the function of Reset of Firefox, the trust is broken and needs to be put in place again.

Unfortunately, the same symptoms can appear with some malicious software.

If you look at the second half of the post of Philipp, you see where you can check the section 'From' the certificate. This usually allows to identify the culprit. Can you take a look and report what you find?

  • My Norton security suite and the toolbar Norton will work with the new Firefox?

A previous version of Firefox eliminated my Norton toolbar and I had to reload an older version of Firefox to get it back. I've been reluctant to upgrade to newer versions of Firefox because of this problem. You are now compatible with Norton?

It depends on what version on Norton you have: I have Norton Security Suite (not to be confused with Norton 360). Free Norton Security Suite is available to Comcast customers. Updates following Norton Security seem to be a bit behind Norton 360. Norton said currently their Norton 360 product can be updated using Live Update and the toolbar does not work in Firefox 22, but this does not seem to solve the problem of the toolbar with Norton Security Suite. It is a very frustrating issue that is causing me does not want to update to Firefox.

  • Norton Security no longer works with Firefox update, if I'm afraid to use it. I want safety navigation

According to my info in Firefox I have Firefox 15.0.1 & it is up-to-date.
I can no longer use Firefox with all my saved bookmarks and familiarity that Norton Security programs I got Comcast no longer work with Firefox. Whenever I use it, it says that my safety is compromised. I don't have any protection. Currently I use internet for purchases, that I count on privacy and security, so I now use Sarari, which I don't like at the well.

Using Firefox, I Googled, found the info that says everything I need to do is to upgrade my Norton with Live Update and then restart Firefox. Do it, but it doesn't help, still has the same lack of protection.

See [935636/questions/935636] [MAC] norton does not support firefox 15

  • Is more recent (10.1) compatible with Norton 360 Firefox toolbar web secure / identity security

It's REALLY annoying when the first notice of the existence of this last version says toolbar from Norton 360 (Safe Web and Identity Safe) are not yet supported by Norton, and then the subsequent availability of this update notice is COMPLETELY silent on this issue.

The last time that I've upgraded, Norton was 'so-called' press the toolbar, I found myself run Norton LiveUpdate 13 times before the toolbar installed.

Anyone know about Norton and this latest version.

I'm PRETTY sure that many Firefox users use Norton 360 and Moxilla needs to do a better job of at least WE ADVISE if an available upgrade is or is not compatible.

    Thank you!!!

  • Is there a known conflict when using Firefox 3.6 and Norton Security on Windows XP, which could lead to the restoration of Windows Progrsm unable to return the C: drive to restore points?

It happened once that shortly after Firefox the default browser and I could not have restored functional, even after disabling restore on all drives, restarting and creating a manual restore point. I then did a clean install of Windows XP and found a functional restoration. On several occasions after reloading I tested all restoration programs and it worked normally. Now, two weeks later he did it again. I wonder if it might be Firefox or Norton.

Yes, it's a known conflict of Norton.

    1. "Norton 2006 and later products have a safety feature that prevents outside programs from making changes to the Norton product.» This security feature can prevent the Windows system restore from changing Norton files, resulting in the "Restoration incomplete" message

  • Could not open a file zip as Envoy by norton security

I bought Norton Security Premium for iMac and after Norton service call, they suggested to ask apple support why this zip file does not open. Someone had it happen to them?

Personally, I would check to see if you can get your money on Norton. It is a useless scam on the Mac. It does no good for you. He is able to make problems.

Really, you have no additional software on your Mac that claims it makes it safer, clean or increase performance. Any seller of such software are lying to tell you.
