Recent articles

I am told that the recent items list accessible via the Start button cannot be alphbetical. This is nonsense - "recent" means "the closer in the past", so it must be ordered with "most recent" (is I mean?) at the top. Is it possible to desiplayed lioke that -? If so, how? If not, why? and Ms. addresses this error?

(> a) who have implemented this shortcut, is there a way I can limit the number of files displayed, either by asking for the most recent 20 or more, either by asking only for those accessible in the last 2 days or a week?

I have no answer for that.

(> b) all following a previous (incorrect) response, it seems to me to dismiss all recent Moreover from the list above the Start button - how can I reset this?

If you are referring to the list of all programs on the side LEFT of the Start Menu, then use this tutorial:

How about you 'upgrade' to Windows Live Mail. It comes out checks as you typewith a jagged red line under misspelled words.
Windows Live Mail (WLM) will coexist with Windows Mail (WM). You do not (and do not) give up WM to WLM. All you have to do is to make WLM as a default.
When installing WLM, the system will automatically transfer all the data, messages, contacts etc. of WM. You don't have to do an import/export.

  • Recent articles: in the Start Menu, I want to know the date of the notice of an element of the latter.

In the Boot Menu, I want to know the date of the notice of an element of the latter.

    Hello

You can check some dates that those were the last time.

Start - Recent Articles - click with the right button on any entry and select Properties - general tab
This may not work for some.

Also check the contents of this folder:

    "C:\Users\Your user Name\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Recent.

Where C: is the drive where are your user profiles.

Right-click on any entry - properties - general tab

    I hope this helps.

  • Recent Articles and why .docx and .xlsx

I noticed that some of my recent articles were missing from my list of recent items.  When I found them their extensions changed to .xlsx .xls and .doc to .docx

    Why have they changed?

Why these extension not see on the list of recent Articles?

I don't know what Forum this goes under.

Sorry, I couldn't help.  Maintain the alert on this thread.  Someone else may be able to give the answer.

change; I misunderstood which lists recent Articles that you were talking about.
After thought: If you open the files in Word or Windows Explorer, the files must be added to the list of recent items.  If you open files with a hyperlink in another document, the files are not added to the list.

  • "Recent Articles" blocking the crossing from one office to the other.

Hi all. I have Vista on my laptop on which I have two desk tops. I recently noticed this file used on a desktop appear on another desktop computer when you click 'Start', and then go to the section "Recent Articles" the two desk tops are protected by Word then why are the files used on a visible across the image area. Y at - it a setting I can use to prevent this cross above? Any advice would be helpful.    Hairbear.

I'm sorry, but I'm not sure what you mean by "desktop."  Windows Vista lets set you up and switch between multiple user accounts and each user account has its own list of "recent Articles".  Recent files of a user do not appear for another user.

Right-click 'Recent items' and click on 'Recent elements clear list' on one of the "offices" and see if the problem persists.

  • Problems of reorganization of the items pinned in the recent Articles from applications menu pinned to the taskbar

    Hello

Recently I encountered the following problem, for which I can't understand a solution. I have some programs such as Excel and Word pinned to the taskbar, and my most frequently used documents are pinned on the list of recent items of each of these programs (so I mean not the newest items on the start menu menu, but those pinned applications).

For more than a year, pinned reorganization points on the upper half has functioned well. In recent weeks, however, the reorganization has unexpected results: say there are, B and C and D made the pinned menu recent Articles of Word in that order. When I try to drag the C between A and B, C will be displayed before. Similarly, when you try to drag between C and D B, B will be the last element.

You, guys, a tip on how work this autour? I guess some kind of "reset" of this feature would be useful, it seems that something was stuck that wouldn't have to be pasted. If it's a browser, I would say that to clean temporary files. Is there something like that, what could I do?

    What I tried:

    * Detach all the elements of the word, and then start again pinning. No change.

    * Menu set start to not maintain a list of recent items, then activated this option. No change.

    * Searched my docs of the user and the registry for a list of the added items. Thought to find a folder of links asc:\Users\Launch\User Pinned\ \AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick , but I only found a registry key that looks like containing all these elements in a key chain with some additional data, so that I wasn't not dare delete this reg value enough.

(Environment: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, English version)

    Looking forward to your advice.

In fact a solution has been found in http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/officeversion_other-word/list-of-recent-documents-not-showing-up-in-task/8f63be2f-67b0-463e-995e-8274adefdcbe, and it works.

For me, the name of the file to be deleted in the %AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\AutomaticDestinations was 9839aec31243a928.automaticDestinations - ms, but the name can be an id and opposed on various systems.

The best is to find your file reorganize everything, PIN or detach a file in Excel, or just to open and close a file and then search for the file with the most recent date any time. All the operations described, I suppose, will modify the corresponding file, so all you need to do after this is to sort files by date, to find and remove the latest file, and you can start re-adding pinned items to Excel.

  • Recent Articles of missing office and jumplists in taskbar

I tried everything online, to fix the lists of missing shortcuts on the Windows 7 taskbar for all office products. These elements do not appear in jump lists. I reinstalled office - still no resolution. Lists of recent items and shortcuts work in Windows Explorer. Only PDF files are displayed in Excel

For 2 months, I have tried everything I found on the web through search... but I still have no recent items and cannot pin something common (such as the current file) to the jumplist pinned to the taskbar (I can do in these last applications) for all Office 2010 applications.

I use Windows 7. I reinstalled Office, repair Office, deleted all recent items, deleted the following:

    %AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\AutomaticDestinations

    and

    %UserProfile%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Recent

I found that in AutomaticDestinations, some items were more than 1 MB. I've cleared it all and then later all the elements. I erased all lists of shortcuts and recent Articles in each of the Office programs (the items in the file menu in office programs). I have reset the toggles view... in short, everything I can find to do.

My recent items appear in the start menu and they appear in Windows Explorer on the taskbar, but they DO NOT appear in one of the applications of MS Office 2010 - Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Please, I beg you. Please help with this, Microsoft. It's a nice feature, but she disappeared.

  • Where Captivate does not save my files?  When I look at recent Articles it only shows the most recent nine

Where Captivate does not save my files? When I look at recent Articles it shows only the last nine most recent files.

It records every time you tell him. I would look in My Documents > my Adobe Captivate projects. You can also open one of the 9 listed projects and then go to file > save as and see where it sets the files.

Finally, you can use the Winows search function to search for *.cpx, and he should find all your Captivate project files.

  • Recent articles: is it possible to retrieve a list of recent items passed?

Is it possible to retrieve a list of recent past items.  I am trying to determine if a file has been accessed and then removed from the list of recent items.  If possible, how do you do that?

The list is stored in C:\Users\\Recent and there may be different lists for each user.  There is no real way to know if an item has been removed from the list, unless it is in the trash (which is unlikely).

To check the Ffichier, go to Windows Explorer and navigate to the file that you are concerned about. Right-click on the headers, click more and add the access Date column.  Then you can see the last time someone accessed the file.  It's just as good as the list of recent files to find out when a person access to a file (and it cannot be deleted without deleting the file).

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Pinned and recent articles on the taskbar takes some time to display

I have Excel 2016, 2016 Word and Notepad made the fallen on my taskbar with different points, that I use frequently pinned in their right click menu. Recently, when I right click I just get the bottom lines two (program name and options off) and no files listed. I wait 30 seconds to a minute and my list of files appears. Menus on other programs pinned to the taskbar tasks seem to work very well and instantly.

It might be a recent update of Windows or Office 2016 update that changed the behavior but remember that these are the only 2 things that have been updated.

Leader: Open Recent works do not. It appears as recent File: Open: clear all.

    Hi guy,

Maybe a recent system update has reset your system preferences > General > recent items to zero.

    Type a number (for example, 10);

    Quit the system preferences;

    Leave the Pages then revive Pages;

Open some documents to repopulate open the recent item.

    Any improvement?

If no improvement, shut down your computer and restart.

"Recent articles" are at the level of the system and refers to other applications, not just the Pages.

    Kind regards

On the dock, right click the icon of numbers and select delete in the Dock

OR click the numbers and the slide out of the Dock, and then release the mouse button.

  • Recent items no longer appear in expose / Mission Control / Application Windows cover flow

Until very recently, when I accessed the service "Windows Application" through the presentation, the bottom of the window of Mission control would reveal a row of recent items from the app in use.

Now it always shows recent items, but this list does not update accurately. The ' file > open recent item ' menu is exact, but recent Articles in the statement do not match this list and are not updated with the most recent articles.

I found a few posts on this topic of 2012, but they are a little dated, and none of them received very clear answers.

I use El Capitan on a 2.6 GHz MacBook Pro.

    Can anyone help with this?

I tried to reset the permissions and reindexing of these records. This doesn't seem to work.

Leave everything, stop, start in Safe Mode, log on and check how things work, then restart normally.  The safe boot through Mode erases caches and (temporarily) disables modules, and which erases sometimes bizarre behavior.
