• Help: update for Windows Vista (KB971644) _ platform

  Greetings:

  I keep getting told that the update above wants to be installed.  I tried to install it about 5 times and every time the system does the following:

  1 download the software
  2 install the software
  3. wonder to reboot the machine (which I do)
  4. in step 3 of the process, he confgures the downloaded software
  5. said that something was wrong with the configuration of the software... no error code.  just something went wrong.
  6 restores the system to the point of departure.
  7 restart the system

  This is getting frustrating... my system has very well updated with each produced Vista fix.  is there a way to bypass this update or can I get windows update in order to stop telling me that this update is available?

  I bought a new HP Zbook G3 with windows 7 64 bit

  The question I have is registry picks up 32-bit like the platform ID even if the system is 64-bit.

  Run 64-bit programs works fine as long as I can install and this is where it happens the question.

  -Installation of 64-bit program works very well if its not programmed to a compability
  Search for drivers against the platform ID registers.
  -If it don't the recommended microsoft check platform Setup normally closes
  to get the information that the platform is a 32-bit system.

  I tried in vain to solutions:
  So far, I have tried to remove the ID platform manually, and then restart but it still captures platform as 32-bit default ID.
  I also tried to remove the platform ID and then replace it by manually creating platform ID REG_QWORD 0 x 00000040, always after that restart the platform ID is default back to 32-bit.

• Database upgrade, migration of the platform with the DSO

  I use R12.1.2 with 10.2.0.4, HP - PA data RISK 64-bit operating system. I want to upgrade of database 11g r2 with ASM and want to migrate to RHEL5, 64-bit OS. Please suggest me the sequence how we proceed?

According to the blog of oracle (http://blogs.oracle.com/stevenChan/entry/db_11gr2_11202_ebs ), HP - PA risk 64-bit is not yet certified with database 11 GR 2, so can we level database to GR 11, 2 on HP-UNIX or you recommend me to platform first migrate to Linux, so I must improve my database.

  If your platform doesn't certified not its average don't make this migration. If your exsisting server not certified with 11 GR 2 so first migrate your db upgrade

• Wireless card in place

  I have two questions. I have an Inspiron 15 3521 and connects the wireless card is no longer in my wireless router. He sees the router (and other routers in the area) then the but when I try to connect it trys and come back with perhaps the password is incorrect. Well, I know the password is correct, because my other devices (laptops in the House and phones) seem to connect properly. I seem to be able to connect with the ethernet cable, but the wireless card will not connect. Said material that it works as it should and I tried to get updates of the driver but during the analysis of driver updates, he said that the drivers are up to date. I tried to roll back updates (in case something updated correctly in the past), but it still not connect.

  So my first question is likely this a software problem? And my second question is if it is the wifi card, can I replace it with something better and what is recommended for that platform?

  I go to network and sharing Center, manage wireless networks and remove the connection problem. Then I would try to connect again.

  I just started to make a request and put all the control for the buttons in my screen by implementing FieldChangeListener with:

  Some of the buttons in the various managers seem only works when the user have clicked buttons in other managers.

  For example if I have:

  It seems that all sign up buttons, (I get the message "Field changed Hit"), but field.equals (yTab.getBackButton ()), say, is true when another button is already made. Once I clicked on the buttons in the right order, they all work. But before that they do not work. (yTab has been instantiated because I see the button and the rest of the Manager, but the button seems to not do anything)

  I'm sure it's something I did wrong, but being new to the programming of BB I thought it might be something that someone has seen before.

  Welcome to the developer of BlackBerry Java forums.

  Since you are new to Java, let me suggest two things:

  (a) you should be aware that equals (.) calls a method on the object, and if this will do what you want or not will depend on the implementation of equals for this object.  Assuming that you have not overridden equals() in one of your items, then I think that's not a problem, but you must confirm this.

  (b) the scope of the variables is a very important function in Java.  For example, in this code, you reference tabArea.  Now you can have more than one tabArea, be careful in each routine you are referencing correct.

  In this case, I suggest that the debugging will give you the answer.  Set a breakpoint at the beginning of this transformation and work through it, checking each statement does what you expect.  When it isn't, why not look very hard at.

   

  One last thing, I do not recommend this BlackBerry platform to learn Java, there is too much stuff and things specific to BlackBerry in the way of learning.  By a simple book "teach yourself Java" for the PC, go through the first chapters and get the basics of java in an environment that you is familiar before embarking on a blow hard.

  Can I use CentOS instead of Red Hat as the operating system for vCloud Director install?  If yes what the game (if any) would be if I needed VMware support (they even would support me)?

  There is nothing prevents you to install it on CentOS.  During the installation you will be told that you are using an unsupported operating system.

  All the problems that would arise from the use of CentOS instead of RHEL is not support.  We must do better to ensure that it is not a question of use/code, as well a reasonable given the suspicion that the OS is really at fault.

  Strictly speaking, being an employee of VMware, I can't close my eyes go against the recommendations of the platform supported.

  However, in more recent versions, I have not personally seen problems directly related to the operating system.  vCloud is a java-based application and is associated with a specific version of Java that is provided by the installer.  If we use even the system version of Java to create the gap.

• Help, please!  Configuration of ESXi to get Cisco Surv. Multimedia for work software.

  Quick overview of what I do:

  I am running VMWare ESXi on a Dell Poweredge R710 server.  My virtual machine is Linux SuSE 10, Service Pack 1, the recommended Cisco media platform video software Surveuillance.  .  I try to get my Cisco software to run on the computer, but it requires an IP address from a remote location to access the software.  My IP address that I attributed to VMware is assigned, but when I use the same address and have the x.x.x.x/cisco.vsm.html there is a conflict with the original address assigned to the address that is using VMware to access the server itself.  I'm a newbie and it's all very confusing to me, so I apprecaite little help.

  Is this a problem IP routing or a problem of port assignment?  The Cisco software is supposed to load when I type http:/x.x.x.x/vsms.html in a browser window on the same network.

  Any suggestions?  I did research this for days trying to figure out how to get a simple program to work.

  Try the URL localhost directly on SuSE http://127.0.0.1/vsmc.html machine if that gets refused then you have configuration problems in the software.

• T610: thin client, multi-imaging platform

  IV ' e hoping to put this in the right place and someone can help or point me in the right direction.

  I'm looking for information on Thin Clients and Device Manager (HPDM), specifically on best practices on building and image capture, cross-platform and imaging would be advantageous.

  I am currently using HPDM Imaging for my thin clients t5470 and t5470e, t610, t620.

  I'm looking for a few docuemntation on recommended Configuration of HP for Imaging. is it to make a "gold" image or it can be pre-determined by HPDM like Microsofts SCCM or WDT?
  
  It would be fantastic if I could get it down to a single Image of WES7 for most of my Thin Clients if possible.

  HPDM provides no functionality of creating an image, tt just do capture and deploy.

  The factory image include all drivers are built by HP R & D WES, there should be no one who can help you, but as far as I know there is no document to save the steps in detail. I suggest that you raise a ticket to impact to HP for help.

  MDT can not be used to deploy the image provided by HP. When building the image, no matter it is an original image or Thinupdate captured image, HP has done little customization in/after imaging process. I don't think that MDT can identify and carry out even these customizations.

  Thanks for the last answer. I fear, I really don't understand what you advise, but I'll settle this as an end to this post.

  Since then, I talked to Hp support that now suggest the reason for which was that the driver was not installed because Hp 13 flow doesn't have enough memory. Make sure that what you want, but I think I went now as I can with this problem. I'm reinstalling w8.1

  I'm a little confused with what LabVIEW Embedded will work with. I read http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/7066 , but that was not very useful because it tells me there are 260 aircraft but it lists only the 3 level 1 section (I guess that there are more than three). A research in the community gave no results. In the level 2 section, they are pointing to the keil device database, but it doesn't really help me either.

  I'm looking for a hardware platform like this http://www.gumstix.com/store/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=252 or this http://www.compulab.co.il/x270em/html/x270-em-datasheet.htm that will work with Embedded LV. I really don't want to design and build the hardware from scratch - I want to find something that will work for me for prototyping on shelf and it will also work for the small volumes of product.

  The problem is, how do I find something like that? Does anyone have the hardware recommendations? The cards Gumstix has an ARM A8 processor so I think he might be targeted by Embedded LV but I don't know. There is a post on this forum regarding the cards Gumstix but it refers to the microprocessor LV SDK and the replies to this post, it seems a very complicated if the process is impossible to implement the programming of LV on it. However, this post is old, and I understand that the SDK is no more.
