Reconfiguring a printer wireless deskjet 3520 on the new network.

Hello... I bought and installed my deskjet 3520 on my wireless network and 2 laptops about 1 week ago.

Everything was fine but then a PC started refusing to connect to the network.

Technical support to the Belkin unhooked all the network and uninstalled everything... then reconfigured a new wireless network. Call Net2.

Access both the web very well on Net2 PC but the printer connects is no longer makes sense if he still thinks I'm on Net1.

So... the question is... What is the best way to get the 3520 to be accessible on Net2 on BOTH computers.

I didn't want to screw up whatever it either so have not tried whatever it is me again!

I'm reasonably notified have the installation disc. Win7 operation on both computers. Wired ethernet connection available and can connect each PC with a USB stick if necessary... but really want to use both wireless. I also have original HP print and scan doctor installed from the installation process!

Hope that helps and thanks in advance!

No problem!

When you post again, I'll check in.  I wish you the best in getting the printer is connected to the new configuration of the network.

If you need assistance I am more than happy to help.  Have a wonderful and safe trip!

    Hello

I see that the IP address of the router is xxx.xxx.2.1 while the printer IP address if xxx.xxx.1.104 that are not in the same range, the printer should have an IP ending in xxx.xxx.2.xxx, proceed as follows.

Printer has been set to an IP address manually for router previous? If so, unplug the ethernet cable select network Menu > restore default network settings and reconnect the cable.

  • DeskJet 3510: Reviving the new modem/WiFi

The HP software is installed on my iMac, and the printer was working remotely with it. Recently, we have improved our modem, which caused a delay to the printer (I have access to the modem via WiFi through the airport in Mac). Anyone happen to know how I could reconnect my printer on my Mac with the new WiFi modem? Is very annoying not to be able to use my printer. Thank you!

    Hey there @artist23,

Thanks for getting back to me on this subject!

Sorry for the confusing reset instructions. However, it seems that you are on the right track. The point of reset is to remove the Deskjet printer from your computer so we have a clean slate to work with. If your Deskjet currently left the Printers folder, then you are good!

Now that the printer is gone, just proceed with step 2and step 3 of my previous post to get the printer reinstalled on the computer with the new Wireless information.

If you encounter any further questions let me know. Good luck!

  • printer scan works only with the new windows 7

upgrade windows xp to windows 7 with the new HP Omni 220PC. Have a printer HP C309g-m. To scan from the printer to the computer xp, I had to use the HP Solution Center. The printer works very well with the new windows 7 program and new computer. I install wireless. No problems with it. Today when I went to scan a document with the HP Solution Center (I thought I had to use as before), this message came.

"HP Solution Center cannot work because your device installation is not complete. Please connect the usb cable, or rerun the installation for a network installation cd. If it does not complete the installation, or you do not have the cd, access the HP help files by clicking on the start menu. "Everything I did. My installation CD said I had a version of the latest update on the installation CD, it was of no use. I went to the HP site and find a download for the drivers updated etc. I downloaded and installed. (although I don't know whether or not it was a duplicate of the drivers of devices on windows 7 for this.) I checked Add/Remove programs to make sure that the printer and the hp solultion Center have been added to the programs. they are listed. I can always scan with

the hp Solution Center. Should I not this program to scan with this new pc? How can I scan from my printer now? I even tried to click scan on the printer, then scan to computer. the message I got was 'Try from scan of compurer. Refer to the documentation for more details ".  To be sure, I'm all mixed up now. All I want is for my scan printer to work with my new pc.  Everything works well except that scan thing, may help me understand what to do?:  Thank you

all fixed. has crossed my computer to start then click HP click HP and open list. Went to my printer-clicked on my printer and clicked on the icon list to see if it worked correctly. This is a problem with the drivers and a box popped up with directions on where and how to download and install the devices for windows 7.
Done this and tested it and everything works fine now. (Ihad already tried the HP site for support and downloaded and installed the fix suggested for the problem, but it did not work). in any case, its fixed and I hope that if someone has a problem, this information will help you.

  • My PC (Windows 7), will automatically connect to the new networks unknown wireless is in the range. I want to stop it.

I found a variety of positions that describe how to disable the "connect automatically" option for a specific network you connected to in the past (via 'manage wireless networks), for example:

They do not resolve my problem because my computer connects automatically on * new, unknown * networks that I've never connected to the front (and also, even after it connects to these networks, they do not appear in the list under 'Manage wireless networks').
Apparently, it set to the default behavior to automatically connect to the new network he meets, and I need that to turn off. Thank you.

    Hi Michael,

I suggest you to perform the steps mentioned by "Steve Winograd replied on November 6, 2009"of a similar discussion.

Wi-wired connections on the same computer, Windows 7.

If the problem persists, I suggest to uninstall and reinstall the wireless card to reset all wireless connections.

Hope this information helps. Response with status so that we can help you.

  • HP Officejet 6700 Premium: Unable to connect to the new network HP 6700

I just changed networks and want to connect my HP Officejet 6700 Premium to the new network.

In the control panel of the printer, I accessed network / Wireless Installation Wizard.  When I do, I get the message:

    Locking function

This feature has been locked by your system administrator or the person who set up the printer.

There is an OK button, but no other options.

I get the same message when I tried to access a WiFi Protected Setup, and, for good measure, the default system restore.

There is no administrator, in itself, because I'm the one who has set up the printer.  I'm rulnning a MacBook Pro on OS X El Capitan.

Please, help me to know what I need to do to connect my printer to the network so I can print.

Thank you very much for taking the time to answer and especially for providing additional resources should what was being offered as a solution to not work.

I have tried your solution several times and kept getting the same message.  I tried shuttig the printer off by pulling on the power cord, stop in the right way, reverse iin, etc..  Nothing removed the error.

Then I took the printer to a local Best Buy to show them the problem, which was at home.  We tried it a few times, and then, for no reason whatsoever (seems), it allowed us to do a reset.  No one knows what was different.

My advice for anyone with the same problem is completely unplug it, let it sit for a while, keep trying and hope for the best.

  • Unable to create the new network former TC

    Hello

So I have the current generation of TC acting as a router as well as a HDD on my old to wide wireless broadband. I experienced some problems with connectivity recently (where my MacAir shows that I am connected to the internet, but no matter what site I try to access everything simply does not load and ends up with a progression of Ribbon on the address bar of Safari-turn off and turn on the power back constantly solves the problem), but this is not what I am asking today. Recently, I had the new optical fiber internet for my house and got a new modem and everything has been installed. Only one of the four ports in the modem seems to work, but at least it works. The D-link router that came with it works fine, but I want to use my TC as the router instead. However, whenever I connect the TC on the working port, I am unable to connect. Airport utility, the lights of TC in green but 'Internet' is yellow, i.e. does not work correctly. It should be a problem with the TC because the D-link router works on the same port and connection ethernet via a thunderbolt on the same port adapter works perfectly fine as well.

Is this a problem with the old settings on my TC being incompatible with the new network? Please advise, thank you very much!

There are at least 2 different issues at stake here and possibly 3.

A question is that whenever you change the modem or the router that connects the TC, or your provider of Internet services, the TC must be reset back to settings by default, and then set it up again to work properly with the new product and the new service.

You don't mention how old your 'old' Time Capsule can be, but 3 years is on the average life of the time Capsule, if anything more than 3 years will be suspicious where reliable operation.

The third possible cause is that only a single port of your modem/router works when the four should work. If this is a real problem here, we can't say, but you have to wonder a little about the reliability of a product that doesn't seem to work properly

  • HP Deskjet 2542: Cannot print wireless Deskjet 2542 after installing the new modem/router

We have recently installed a new Netgear modem/router and have not been able to print wireless since installation. I tried everything I could find on the forum and still no luck. Any help will be appreciated.

Replacement/change your wireless router, try here.

    http://www.HP.com/global/au/en/wireless/reconfiguring-system-Help3.html

Make sure that your router is set to a fixed channel wireless as the 1, 6 or 11, never 'auto '.  Try each of the channels one at a time.  Make sure they are spaced at least 5 feet.

However, if you have a gateway device (modem + router), all gateway devices are terrible for connectivity and wireless performance.   If this does not work, suggest you put this bridge in full bridge mode device and install your own router of high quality that YOU have full control over.

There is something else I need to do, or something that I did I shouldn't?  Have already installed cartridges spare and never had this problem.  Thank you.

    Hi NancyWB,

I can't wait to hear that you have questions.  This could be a problem with the hardware cartridge or unit; However it can also be related to connectivity.  You are able to print a test page for the unit itself? Please see the procedure to print a test page for the device to determine if the material is shown below.  If the test page is empty or contains flaws, click here for the action on this issue.

To print the page of unit test:

    1. On the product control panel, press the (arrow) down to select settings and pressOK .
    2. Press the (arrow) downward to select Tools and press OK .
    3. Press the (arrow) downward to select Print Quality Report and press OK . The report prints.

    I hope this helps!

  • Wireless Deskjet 3520 on broad-band fiber

    Hello friends,

Currently I have my Deskjet 3520 multifunction wireless installed on my home network, (a laptop and a Deskjet) and am upgrading to a facility broadband fiber this Monday, July 8.

The upgrade will involve the use of a new brand high-speed fiber modem/router, and I would like to know if I have to completely reinstall my all-in-one Deskjet 3520 to establish a wireless network between my Deskjet and laptop (Windows 7 OS), or can I skip some steps in the manual for the installation of the Deskjet printer?

Any guidance would be appreciated. I look forward to your responses.

    Thank you!

In theory, if you give your new network (router) namesake exact network (SSID), type of encryption (WPA, WPA2, etc.) and password for the printer should re - connect without problem.  If none of this is even the slightest different you will need to re-install the printer.

If you use Windows, you will need to go to start > all programs > HP > [your printer model] > IP update.  If you use a Mac, of course, there will be no such problems.

  • Disorders of printing HP Deskjet 3520

    Hello

Running Win 7 and used to have an all-in-one HP Deskjet 4200. All print very well, but was not really happy with the photos. In any case, recently bought a HP 3520 and am having problems printing. Still using the same computer (Asus) and Microsoft Office software.

That is the problem. When I select either normal or draft mode, the page displays two lines, ignores the three following, then repeat. This happens no matter what type of document that I use. In optimized mode, it prints very well. Of course, which also uses the ink more. Is there some hidden settings that I'm missing? I even tried to install it on another computer running XP and the same question.

HP technology doesn't have a lot of help, and I reinstalled the software, realigned the print heads and made a double cleaning.

    Photos of printing OK.

    I'm a loser.

    Thank you

Because the best way to force out more ink on the page, essentially put more ink on the page as you would normally in Normal mode or project. The definition of the best mode of our resources is:

"It is the highest recommended print quality." It uses the patented color HP PhotoREt technology for best results of treatment. The declared resolution is 600 x 600 dpi, but PhotoREt provides improved results. »

    http://goo.GL/zOsGb

Since it is a deskjet, ink and the printhead are integrated together to replace your best option for a print head is defective or if you are simply more ink.

    Let me know!

    Hey @dbot,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I hope you enjoy your stay here.

I understand that you have some problems with the printer all-in-one Deskjet 3050 connection to your new router. I can help you with that.

First of all, we will restore the default values of network on the printer. To do:

Remove the USB cable to the back of the printer.

On the printer, press the wireless icon that looks like a radio tower.

Click on the white button next to settings.
Click on the white button next to default settings.

If there is a screen asking you to confirm, then press the white button next Yes. Blue wireless light should turn off.

Now on your PC we will uninstall all software associated with the printer.

Download and install the latest drivers by clicking on this link.

Once installation is complete, you should have the printer connected to your wireless network.

Please let me know if this solves your problem or if you have any other questions. If not, have a great weekend!
