Recover a DB 10.1 with lack of archives!

Hi guys,.

We have an online backup of our 10.1.0.2 single database on solaris 64-bit (SPARC).

This backup is as of October 22, 2008. Then we started restoring forward using the available archivelogs... we have successfully advanced to October 30, 2008. We could not proceed as we have discovered that we have missing archive newspapers between the two
(Missing almost 66 archives between October 30 to November 2, 2008)... .we have the archives of November 2 until November 10, 2008.

After we recovered the DB until October 30, 2008, due to lack of archives, we opened with RESETLOGS PROD DB and we now have 2 different incarnations:

------- ------- -------- ---------------- - ------------ ----------
1 1 2704711646 1 FEBRUARY 2 PARENT DB 06
2 2 DB 2704711646 CURRENT 5778348348 11 NOVEMBER 08

Is there anyway that we can recover the GAP and then move forward until the last archiving that we have (November 10, 2008)?
To sum up the situation again, we have the backup archives 22 October 2008 until October 30, 2008 and November 2, 2008 until November 10, 2008... We have 2 missing days (almost 66 archives)

What are the available choices, we have (supported and not supported please) as it is urgent to recover data until November 10, 2008.
As for now, we could open as of October 30, 2008.

Again, we have the backup (22 October 2008) and can do it again.

By the way I tried to use Logminer to extract the available archives and manually apply but all archives before the incarnation current (8 November 2008) did not open on LMVIEWER... that is because I can't use logminer with different incarnation as the current one.

Your response and your help is very appreciated because it is a DB PROD.

Thank you
Ferriol

Hello

Can I know the reason how the journal fail?
Secondly, the thing is that as far as I KNOW, jump newspapers is quite possible that each journal is as string. You can not ignore.
You must re-enter the information.

The SNA method before roll is easiest to get your sleep in harmony rather than completely rebuild.

The RCS on primary continues to rise and if the archives get generated on primary at a regular stage, would be late the night before by a huge margin.

If there is a gap of newspaper caused lack of archives and his backup is not available, then I'd rather go with the Roll Forward YVERT method.

You can extract in your download folder, but you should create a new folder, copy the exe and 7z into this folder, and then double-click the exe file.  Leave it to extract the files in the folder that you created.

  • Envy 14 K110nr: Cannot recover system recovery media, associated with PININST_BBV

I have a HP Evny 14 K110nr. In short, the system upgraded to Windows 10, started acting weird about a month after:
Lose access to resources (Task Manager, desktop, Control Panel, etc.)
Defective devices (wifi, bluetooth, etc.), suspended connections, System Restore gave a lot of mistakes.

Tried to fix the system, nothing worked (even the DISM restorhealth was not working and suspended 40%)

Long story short, I tried to recover the hd partition and could not complete successfully, same thing happened with my recovery media.

At the end of the recovery attempt, I get a BSOD and system resets. It was a loop like that for awhile.

Ran Diagnostics, no errors, but I suspect it was the HARD drive as the mentioned system errors on it before the collapse.

I replaced the HARD drive and started the process again, this time I have not received any BSOD, but after completitng, I get a message saying that the recovery was incomplete. Just now my system is a Clipboard and consider Ubuntu if I can't up the widows, but it makes no sense. I read through several threads that referred to this issue and I don't know if I've seen any absolute solution to this issue (none have worked for me so far). Here are a few:

You can also try to boot any disk from Windows and reformatting the drive to start over with the recovery.

  • Recovering files of the T60 with a broken winXP installation

Hello everyone, I'm saving the files from one especially deceased ThinkPad T60 Window XP. The T60 has a fingerprint reader, and I was crazy enough to put files in a secure volume.

When I start Windows, it gets as far as the start screen and crashes then it with bike constantly the progress bar. I created a set of rescue & Recovery CD (actually two games, a serious on CD and a serious DVD) when I initially bought the laptop, but they do not contain the files I want to retrieve (that were created at a later date). When I try to run R & R starting at a set of disks, R & R software will open to the main screen, but in a few seconds (or at most a minute, but in no way I am able to actually use the diagnostic/recovery tools effectively) the system freezes up tight and will not even for CTRL-ALT-DELETE.

I also tried to remove the SATA HDD and put it in an external USB box. The disc is recognized when it is connected to another computer, but I can't access the files because they are locked inside this secure volume.

Finally, I also tried to start with a standard XP installation CD to see if running a chkdsk /r (after you select the repair option on the first screen) would help and get past the XP splash screen. Unfortunately, after loading all the drivers, etc., the recovery console Windows XP says it can't find all the disks to repair. I guess that's because there is no such thing as the secure volume for what is an OEM XP disk is.

I guess I could try something with a Linux LiveCD or something, but because the files I want are locked inside a secure volume I don't know who's going to make me still to come.

I have the administrative password WinXP wrote down, so if there is there a tool that will allow me to open my files using this password, I'm in good shape.

Any ideas? I really want to recover these files. I don't like about installing XP itself, and in fact I intend to format the HARD drive and install OpenSuse as soon as I brought back my files.

I managed to recover my files.

I booted into Windows and press F8 to bring up the Safe Mode option (I thought I had already tried this before, but I guess I've forgotten). I had hoped once in Mode safe, I'd be able to pull the files off the SecureDrive.vol (mapped to drive R :), but I guess there are some drivers or services that don't load in Mode safe so that windows does not even see the a: drive at all.)

But I was able to run a chkdsk/r, which took place during the next reboot. It took two tries to it (chkdsk froze the machine on the first run through), but chkdsk found and fixed a lot of errors and I was able to connect to Windows XP. I pulled all my files on a USB key, and literally within 30 seconds the system frozen solid again.

Running the diagnostics of a Lenovo PC Doctor bootable CD, I discovered this fujitsu 100 GB drive is riddled with errors. So I might try some kind of low-level format to try to clean it up before installing a new copy of OpenSuse 11.2. Any recommendations for rehabilitation and repair in shape this drive?

  • retrieve the information of partition table with lack of offline data file

I just restored a backup of a database. When I unzipped data files, I discovered that a single data file was so damaged in the starting order of the database, I had to put the offline data file. The tablespace which reports the data file holds the information of partition of a table. Since I have no archives from when the data file has been created, I know it is not possible to recover the data file, I have to recover as many lines as possible other files in the tablespace data but when export or create the table as what to choose in the affected partition get ORA-00376 : cannot read file 1624 at the moment.

is there a way to tell oracle to ignore the data offline file and export the remaining data file information?

    Just to clarify my situation a little more;
iI have a table called PPGA_ACTABOPRE that is partitioned by HASH and has 20 partitions, each partition in a different tablespace and tablespace each have about 8 files of data. A data file in the partition 9 is missing and I want is to get the information from the files of the remaining data, but whenever I issue a select statement or an exp or anything I get ORA-00376.

I try to set the flag to ignore blocks corrupt with run DBMS_REPAIR. SKIP_CORRUPT_BLOCKS ('PPGA', 'PPGA_ACTABOPRE'); and then select the info but it did not work.

    Any suggestion would be appreciated;
    Thanks in advance

For the actabopre_p08 partition, some files are available, and we're not. You can access data at the segment level, because some extensions are missing.

You would need to access the data by rowid. You could loop through dba_extents and use dbms_rowid.create to generate a list of ROWID that may exist in the available data files.

    This may help: -.

After having resisted for a long time, I've finally upgraded to Pages 5.6.1/El Capitan for the writing of my thesis, and I hate so much.  I can see that it would be good for pretty things, but for text-heavy work, it's hopeless.  Having had my rants, please can someone tell me if it is possible to get the old bar along the bottom back - the one with the number of words and figures of the page displayed in the blink of an eye?  Also, the new comment system is formidable - is it possible to fix the new component and stop wandering around on its own and change the view so what you see is your comment permanently in the sidebar (not an irritating sticker on the text) without so much space wasted on the who/where/when to its insertion?  Thank you!

    Hi Cecil,.

    To answer question 1:

is it possible to get the bar of the old along the back bottom - with the number of words and figures of the page displayed in the blink of an eye

Pages 5 has a number of words of window (click view in the toolbar) that you can drag anywhere you like:

  • Need help with lack of OneDrive icon in the tray on my Windows 7 PC

Today, I connected to my Windows 7 PC and opened my OneDrive file, expecting to see a folder with a few pictures that I had uploaded from my mobile phone. I tried my laptop and on this PC, the files were there which indicates that the synchronization was not on my desktop PC. Sort by dumb luck, I managed to get the synchronization begins and when it happened I noticed that there was a cloud icon in my taskbar and icon remained in my taskbar until I rebooted. Upon reboot, however, cloud oneDrive icon is missing and I was unable to find a way to get it back. On my laptop, I noticed that the cloud icon is in the taskbar whenever I start, but not on my desktop PC. Has anyone experienced this problem and managed to get the icon every time? If Yes can you please share with me how to retrieve the OneDrive icon in the system tray? Thank you.

I go to www.OneDrive.com and re - install the latest version of the app sync OneDrive.  This will repair the installation more replace any missing registry for Autorun keys during startup.

    Thanks for the reply.

I guess I should have made more than one investigation before I posted, but I managed to fix this after reading your post. I took a glance at my laptop which was running icon and I could see an entry for OneDrive in the MSConfig Startup tab, but it wasn't in the startup folder. I ran AutoRuns of Sysinternals and on the connection tab, I found an entry for OneDrive in HKCU\software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run and I then pulled regedit and find this key value in the registry. I then I went back to my desktop PC, pulled up Regedit and created a new string value, renamed OneDrive and joined in the data value field: "C:\Users\[MyName]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\OneDrive\OneDrive.exe" / background to match what I had on my laptop. Out of Regedit, I rebooted and found that OneDrive did start, was the cloud icon in the system tray and I could find the OneDrive entry in MSConfig. Perhaps this might help someone else who has the same problem.  Thanks again.

  • How to recover a bad hard drive with no recovery software.

I'm working on a 4-b000 want Pro.  The hard drive has failed.  I have a replacement drive on the way, but I did not create a recovery disk when the laptop was purchased.  It had windows 7-64 bit on this subject before.  What are my options to get a recovery media for this laptop?

    James

    Hi James,

    There are two options available.

    1. you can order a replacement set of support for recovery from the link below - it will reinstall the operating system, all the drivers, and almost all of the original software (the exception being often tests of MS Office).  It will also recreate the original scores, including the recovery Partition.

    Order HP recovery disks.

2 another option that you might consider is to create your own Windows 7 USB flash drive Installer.

Before you try the following, make sure that you can always read the character product activation key 25 on your label Windows COA (5 blocks of 5 alphanumeric games).

An example of a COA label can be seen here.

Using another PC - just download the correct disk Image ( that it must be the same version that originally came with your laptop - IE Home Premium, professional etc. ) from the link below--the source of the Windows Image is Digital River.

    Windows 7 sp1-iso-official-32-bit-and-64-bit

Once done, use an application like Rufus to create a bootable Windows 7 usb flash drive.

When creating, tap away at the esc you key start Notepad to open the Start Menu.  Insert the Windows 7 flash player.  Select the menu of Boot Options ( f9 ).  Use the arrow keys to select the flash drive and press ENTER.

Use the flash drive to perform the installation, enter the activation key of Windows on the label of the COA at the request and once the installation is complete, use ' 'phone Method' described in detail in the link below to activate the operating system -this made method supported by Microsoft and is popular with people who want to just have a new installation of Windows 7 without additional software load normally comes with OEM installations.

    http://www.kodyaz.com/articles/how-to-activate-Windows-7-by-phone.aspx

You may need, additional drivers and software are from here.

    Best regards
