  Depending on how the bad hard drive is, you might be able to plug it as a secondary drive and specify files off of it or send them to a service to extract the files. I don't think there is anyway to recover the files through something that first creates.

• How to recover a project of files hidden CP8

  I asked earlier why there are so many cache files that open when you open a project.  In previous versions, there was only one for each time you opend a project now there are 7 cache files that appear in the folder when you open a new porject.  How to recover a project in the cache files in CP8?  A process that Rod Ward had written for earlier versions of CP8 tried but it didn't work.

  Under your "My Documents" folder, you will see "cached record Adobe Captivate projects"

  In this folder, you will see the folder alphanumeric names

  Check the modification date

  Open the folder according to the guidelines of your observation

  Navigate by "db", then you will see this:

  

  Select all, except "already_in_use.lock" and create a .zip file

  Rename the extension from .zip to .cptx

  I know its my bad, usually I have AutoSave on and don't care a lot because of this... but this time I opened an old AE7 project so it was opened as an untitled project.

  However when I did and wwanted to my computer in the render queue, I noticed that it was still not registered, so I tried to save it...

  I recently deleted a project after posting to FB and then realized it was a mistake.  I'm trying to get it back, so I can fix it and wonder where will deleted projects?  It is not in my main trash, and there is no imovie trash.  Has it really gone or is there a hidden somewhere trash? (I should say project, no claws, so by selecting "rejected" doesn't work).

  The iMovie Trash is inside the packaging of Library.imovielibrary of iMovie, and it will be empty, when you quit iMovie.

  The iMovie library stores project data.  By default the iMovie library will be in your movies folder in your folder. You can restore the latest version of your iMovie Library.imovielibrary since the last backup Time Machine, what you have done, before you deleted the project.  restore this library to another folder, if you don't overwrite your current version.

  The drafts folder is completely empty? If the answer is "Yes", while in the air streams: view | Current view. Make sure Show all Messages is the only option that is checked.

  Recovery methods:

  If you use XP/SP2 or SP3, and are fully patched, then you should have a backup of your dbx files in the Recycle Bin (or possibly the message store), copied as bak files.

  To restore a folder bak on the message store folder, first find the location of the message store.

  Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

  In Windows XP, the .dbx files are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in the Solution Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder options | View.

  Close OE and in Windows Explorer, click on the dbx to the file missing or empty file, then drag it to the desktop. It can be deleted later once you have successfully restored the bak file. Minimize the message store.

  Open OE and, if the folder is missing, create a folder with the * exact * same name as the bak file you want to restore but without the .bak. For example: If the file is Saved.bak, the new folder should be named saved. Open the new folder, and then close OE. If the folder is there, but just empty, continue to the next step.

  First of all, check if there is a bak file already in the message. If there is, and you have removed the dbx file, go ahead and rename it in dbx.

  If it is not already in the message, open the trash and do a right-click on the file bak for the folder in question and click on restore. Open the message store up and replace the .bak by .dbx file extension. Close the message store and open OE. Messages must be in the folder.

  If messages are restored successfully, you can go ahead and delete the old dbx file that you moved to the desktop.
   
  If you have not then bak copies of your dbx files in the Recycle Bin:

  A general warning to help avoid this in the future:

  Do not archive mail in default OE folders. They finally are damaged. Create your own folders defined by the user for mail storage and move your mail to them. Empty the deleted items folder regularly. Keep user created folders under 300 MB, and also empty as is possible to default folders.

  Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the CPUs, slows down sending and receiving and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs, account setting changes and has even been responsible for the loss of messages.   As long as you have not deleted the jpr file and the content of the project, you can retrieve their return.

  Open your Application. Select the file-> Open and select the project you want to include in your application (.jpr file). You are all ready.

  I'm doing a book through pictures. All the photos have been laid out and doing just the final touch. I stopped to do something and suddenly I can't recover the project. I always see it as part of the list of projects, but it wouldn't start or show the pictures in. I delete any. I can see all my photos and albums but not the project. Help, please. Thank you

  First fix the library according to the instructions in this document from Apple: fix your library.

  Note: If you use iCloud photo library with Photos, this operation will lead to Photos to upload all your pictures again (of difficulty missing or incorrect thumbnails in photo - Apple Support).

  Then, if necessary, restore your last backup of the library made just before that happens and see if the book is in the library and achievable.  You can restore the library to a different location in order not to replace your current library. Or rename your library ongoing, so it does not replace the restoration.

  I have a microwave (v9) office project file.

  This project contains about 6 to 8 schematic files. Overall size of the project is about 400 KB.

  Earlier I could open this project file and simulate without any error.

  But now I am unable to this project opens successfully.

  On the opening of this project, an error window appears which gives error reading for document No. files.  21 to 34. After you close all the windows of these 14 error, the project opens but only with the graphic details & without any schematic file

  Thus, no race simulation now happening.

  I was able to recover the project. I tested the attached draft in v9 and patterns are present. I hope this helps.

• Import previously created the project file as. MSWMM files will now open in WMM.

  After you import a video file multimedia. While displaying the file in WMM I was bursting of the file in the headings concerned by creating several files in my imported originl file. I had more before edit I would do later, he not published at this time. I saved the file as a project using the default value. MSWMM format. When I try to recover the project I get the following message:

  There are no files listed in WMM when I double click the. MSWMM project file I want to edit further. There is a brief display in the video box 'Preview size 434 x 326'.
  There is nothing on the screen at all, if I then try to open the same file again, I get a response that the file is in use to choose file anther
  I use the same computer to download and edit my videos, not switching files either, other than my project and video files. MSWMM files are stored on an external hard drive.

  No, Premiere Pro projects are not retro-compatible. You must open the project in the same or a later version of the application. This is because the features are added to later versions which have no equivalent in previous versions.
