Recovery DVD creation error - power calibration error has occurred

Hello

Tyring to create the recovery DVD, but after a few minutes the following message appears: Power calibration area error has occurred
error code: 0e01b5-00037304
Please check if dvd is scratched or dirty.

I have already lost 4 DVDs (brand new in box)
Y at - it another way to create recovery DVDs or is it enough if I have the recovery saved on drive D?
Thanks for the help

To be honest, it is a good idea to create recovery DVDs. It can happen that the HARD drive will be defective or for any other reason, you will not be able to access the saved on the second partition recovery image. If something goes wrong, you can use recovery DVD to install OS and have once again the factory settings.

I don't know what the problem is here, but I advise you to use DVD-R virgins only. Buy TDK or Verbatim and it works well.
Believe me, that I have created about 20 DVD recovery by always using the same media. Whenever it worked correctly.

Theoretically, you can only have the recovery image on the second partition, but you can not install other OS. Score structure cannot be changed. Believe me it's much better to create recovery DVDs.

    Follow these steps to try to solve your problems of boot.

    Restore point:

    http://www.howtogeek.com/HOWTO/Windows-Vista/using-Windows-Vista-system-restore/

    Do Safe Mode system restore, if it is impossible to do in Normal Mode.

    Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

    Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

    Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

    http://www.windowsvistauserguide.com/system_restore.htm

    Read the above for a very good graph shows how backward more than 5 days in the System Restore Points by checking the correct box.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If the system or Mode restore safe work not and you do not have a Microsoft Vista DVD, make a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:
    Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
    Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.
    NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.
    Read all the info on the website on how to create and use:
    ISO Burner:http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html
    It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.
    You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.
    It is NOT a disc of resettlement.
  • Equium A200-1VO - "a disk read error has occurred."
    Hello
    I had my Equium A200-1VO since December 2007 and has never really had any problems with it atall.
    However, last night after a Windows Vista update and restart, my laptop won't start upward. I get a black screen announcing:
    "A disk read error has occurred.
    Please press Ctrl + Alt + Delete to restart»
    I've had no BSOD, and no other suggestion that something was wrong, everything worked perfectly. I checked the HARD drive to see if it had come off his link and reinserted it. But I get the same message.
    I am presented with the only possibility to use the recovery disk, but this means wiping everything out there and start again. I'd rather try to recover my documents before taking radical measures, if it is possible atall.
    If anyone has any suggestions I would be very appreciate.
    Thank you very much
    Hello
    In my view, the error message says a lot: theoretically, your HARD drive may be defective and must be replaced but before that I would test using fitness to drive or another program. Just use Google to find such programs.
    Maybe something was tangled up in your Windows installation. About reinstalling Windows?
    You didn't back up your data to a second drive? I m wondering about this, because the backup should always be made.
    However, if you use an external HARD drive box you can save it on another computer.
    Good luck! :)
  • Trying to open Bacup and restore: "an internal error has occurred. The parameter is incorrect. (0 x 80070057) »
    When I first set up the option to Backup and Restore to backup some documents (only) on an external hard drive, I got the error message "an internal error has occurred." The parameter is incorrect. (0 x 80070057). Then when the clock reaches the designated backup time, the computer actually perform the backup. But now I am unable to open the backup center and restoration of anyway, so I can't adjust the time, I can not restore or select other files to back up. I simply do not have access to the backup and restore options. I always get the "an internal error has occurred." The parameter is incorrect. (0 x 80070057)" whenever I try. So I still can not turn off the current backup parameter, which is set to back up every night at midnight.
    Hello Tjohanne
    Please write to the Microsoft Forums.
    This problem can occur because of a bad sector at the end of the volume that you are trying to save.
    However, as a workaround, you can try the following methods:
    (A). if you save the backup files in the first 750 GB hard drive, you can save the backup files in the second hard drive 300 GB with the letter E to test this issue. However, if you save the backup files to the second hard disk 300 GB with letter E first, you can try to save the backup files in the first 750 GB hard drive with the letter C or D.
    Run (B). disk check to check the hard drive
    Note: Please make sure that the DVD DRIVE is the first boot device.
    1. Insert the DVD of Windows 7 and restart the computer.
    2. when we are asked to press a key to boot from the DVD, please press enter or the SPACEBAR.
    3. click on 'Next' and then click 'repair your computer '.
    4 Please, highlight 'Windows 7' and click 'next '.
    Note: A computer can store multiple copies of Windows 7. Please highlight the one that is experiencing problems. The order of the elements in the dialog box is identical to that on the start menu.
    5. in the dialog box titled "System Recovery Options", click on "Command Prompt" and type the following commands. Please press ENTER after each command.
    C:
    CHKDSK /R
    Note: Please replace "C:" with the actual drive letter of the system drive on which Windows 7 is stored.
    6. Please let me know if an error is detected.
    C. now use another backup tool to check if you can back up files on the computer correctly.
    It may be useful
    Thanks and greetings
  • Activating Windows indicates that an error has occurred
    Last night I had an open window that told me there was an error activating windows and that my version of windows was not valid. When I try and open the Windows Activation it tells me an error has occurred. Code: 0 x 80070424.
    I use the windows which was preinstalled on the computer. BUT, I ended up having to purchase backup discs from Toshiba and the service center he relocated to me. Not sure if there is a problem or if it is internal.
    Help, please.
    Thank you
    Will be.
    Hi Will,
    And what you say now? If I understand the computer is now reinstalled with Toshiba recovery disc, so all is ok now or you always have problems?
    The version preinstalled Windows from Toshiba is still active and read to use so that I can t imagine you must activate your copy of Windows if it was preinstalled on Toshiba drive or recovery
    Hello
    If you don t have a CD/DVD drive and then I'd forget all this tests
    You need the CD/DVD drive to reinstall the OS again if you have the bootable CD.
    If your computer supports USB booting, then you could try to reinstall Win XP from bootable USB drive flash.
    For that check out this tutorial:
  • Satellite L300: Failed to retrieve - unexpected i/o error has occurred
    Help, please...
    I'm trying to restore the orginal through recovery process.
    After pressing F8 at start-up stage and chose to restore the system, he thinks about it, and then comes back with the following error;
    STATUS: 0XC00000E9
    INFO: An unexpected i/o error has occurred
    There is also an explanation it may be due to an external device that has not been properly disconnected or a hardware error.
    I have nothing plugged and restarting the system several times to try to resolve the problem. I also tried to re-boot last secure configuration, but this has not helped (although now gave me my card back like this so that other issues have been a problem - that is why the desire to recover the original system settings).
    Any advice would be greatly apprciated.
    Thank you.
    Hello
    Allows summary;
    -You are not able to start the Windows operating system (even in safe mode)
    Right?
    -You are not able to recover the laptop with HARD drive recovery option.
    Right?
    -You don t have a recovery disk
    Right?
    Well in that case I n t see any other solution for new order recovery disk and then try to recover the laptop using this disc.
    You can order the CD from recovery here:
  • Outlook express 6 on startup reports "an unknown error has occurred."
    Outlook Express 6 has started saying "an unknown error has occurred" (no other text message).  This only seems to happen when I run after she is not running for a while (an hour or two).  If I close and run it again immediately, the error does not occur.  I read in the forum, someone say the folders.dbx file is damaged or missing, and the advice to rename it to folders.old, causing Outlook Express to create a new folders.dbx file.  I hesitate to do that I have several years worth of emails in the system and do not know if I would lose them by forcing the creation of a new file.  What is the function of the file folders.dbx anyway?  How is it, you can rename just to old point and get a new one?  Is there something important in there?
    The only trigger I can think of for this error started to happen, is that I deleted a large number of emails sent just before he began to arrive.  I had sent a large number of photos to friends, and I thought I want to remove messages as they would use space disc unnecessarily masses.  Outlook Express and then put them in a "Deleted" folder, that I also went and deleted all the posts in there.
    Try first the compaction. When you delete messages, the space they took is not recovered until you do.
    Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.
    Compress your OE folders:
    Folders.dbx is the "brain" of the system of dbx files.
    In Windows XP, the files of user OE (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.
    The path to the message will be very similar to this:
    C:\Documents and Settings\Your User of utilisateur\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\ {long string of letters & numbers} \Microsoft\Outlook Express
    With OE closed, find the Folders.dbx file and delete it.  Another will be created automatically when you open OE.
    Note these possible side effects: (you will not lose messages)
    When you re - start OE, it will build a new index of all *.dbx files it can read and create a new Folders.dbx. However, understand that you will lose the mail directory structure and message rules will probably have to be edited.
    Or, you can create a new identity which is probably the best correction. File | Identities | Add the new identity. Create a new one and try it. If all goes well, you can import your messages and address book from the old identity and delete it.
    Note: Do not use the main word in the name of the new identity.
  • Outlook Express 6 - cannot create/reply/response/front/or all open emails received; message error "an error has occurred."
    1. when I try to create an e-mail, or reply, or reply all or forward, or open an email received, get the error message "there was an error opening this message. An error has occurred. »
    2. when I try to open the address book, get the error message "the address book cannot be installed correctly."
    3. when I try to open the address book, get error message 'the address book failed to load. Outlook Express is configured incorrectly, please re - install. »
    Had a major power outage 6/28; power finally restored 7/3 but had to reconfigure Outlook Express but also a number of other programs, including the password for computer access.
    This article is quite old: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/191946 but if you search for *.wab which will give you the address book, and it is probably corrupted.  You can click on it and check whether it is open or not.  If not, then look for * ~ * and who will be the backup of the address book.  Try to rename to give it a file extension wab and if it opens when you click it, and then replace the bad with it.  Otherwise, remove the old one and see if that fixes it.  You might be best by clicking file | Identities and setting a new identity and then see if it works fine.  If Yes, then you can import the old identity.
  • An internal error has occurred in Windows Media Player
    I write on behalf of a client who has a few problems with Windows Media Player in Windows XP.
    She said that she receives the error message "an internal application error has occurred" all the time. He will not play CD and does not even start.
    She wonders if she needs to unintall/reinstall. However, she received another message saying something like its other programs may not work correctly.
    Just to confirm yet for her, she would not lose all other programs in the cases where she unisntalls Windows Media Player, right?
    Thank you!
    Thank you.
