Recovery system stuck at 83%

I have a HP Touchsmart 320, Windows 7 64 bit. The power went last night during a file transfer in my corner. When I went to restart the PC, windows will load and the system gave me the recovery option. because it was late, I stopped and began the process of recovery from this morning. Everything was fine until I got the fourth disc. I was now stuck at 83% for more than two hours and he tells me I left the 71582780 minutes. You read that right. The record doesn't seem to be down but slowly, but it is still stuck at 83%. What should I do? Help please.

Well, it's not good. I rebooted the system, tried to enter the recovery options and I now get an error message of imminent hard drive failure. I contacted HP Support and because I'm still under warranty, they'll replace it. Thanks for trying to help anyway.

Compaq Presario CQ71, (model CQ71-317EA) portable system, Windows 7 family 64 - bit edition

Hi, I tried to upgrade the original 320 GB HDD to a 256 GB SSD.

After that replacement of the naked NTFS hard drive to SSD format, I tried to do a "factory restore" using the DVD, I created some time ago about recovery. The DVD started and recovery program ran very well, first menus for recovery/system control etc. The problem is that the program would not be allowed a resumption of the plant as the HDD was little different/more than the installed hard drive to factory.

This is the point I'm stuck at, I reassembled the original hard drive while I find a solution.

Is it possible to find a workaround to avoid having to order a new disc of Windows 7? Any help and advice in terms of simple-ish would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    Hello:

If you can still read all 25 characters of the product key of W7 on the bottom of your laptop, you can make your own plain W7 x 64 Home Premium installation media and use the product key to activate the installation.

Download the applicable version of the W7 from the link below.  Use the SP1 media files regenerate.

Then use this tool to transfer the ISO file downloaded on a key USB 4 GB or DVD.  The tool will make the DVD or drive bootable flash as well.

  • Options recovery system for Satellite A300D - 14 d

    Hello

I'm having some problems with the system Rocevery Options on A300D - 14 d

I installed Fedora 9, BUT did not uninstall Windows Vista. I mean, the computer now has a dual boot.

All these files on system always here. That hide the partition where is this folder and some files recovery system called HDDRecovery is also there.

Fedora works fine and I can access the all files Vista system, but if I choose Vista it restarts the computer while loading the OS. If I choose the Options of the Rocevery system, I got:

    * + The installed program cannot start. Click OK to turn off the computer. + *

Indeed, he turns off the computer if I click OK.

I also tried to install Windows XP, but after checking, system installation just stops at a black screen and won't forward.

Is it possible to do a startup and system recovery disk? Do not forget that I can't start Windows Vista.

    Thank you

    Hi again,

It is resolved. I was getting an error 0 x 24, which I couldn't see before because the error of the report was disable.

I downloaded the Windows Vista Recovery Disc available [here | http://neosmart.net/blog/2008/windows-vista-recovery-disc-download/] and he picked up the system.

For sure I am now a recovery DVD. I didn't know that this laptop has a system of recovery only inside the HD.

No, you can't download the image of Toshiba.
If you want to install the Toshiba Recovery disk image, then you must order the CD from here:
    http://backupmedia.Toshiba.EU/landing.aspx

Then you would be able to reinstall the image of Toshiba, but for this you will need an external USB CD/DVD drive.

    The other possibility.
You could install a fresh Windows 7 operating system with a USB key.
To do this, you would need something like Wintoflash
    http://WinToFlash.com/home/en/

Need driver can be downloaded from the Toshiba driver page

  • spontaneous recovery system popup

My new ATC Aspire works fine as far as I can tell.  However, when I played a game installed on my C: drive (which I often play), an Acer recovery system is spontaneously popped up. I clicked it, there was a screen that prompted me to OK a factory reset, though I would lose all my C: drive. Of course I cancelled.

For me it seemed to indicate that 1) I had asked this reset, which I did not, or 2) the system has detected a problem that caused the need for the recovery to run system, which I don't think I do since everything works perfectly.

Should I worry about this?  That this has something to do with the fact that I booked 10 Windows?

    kcasey,

I'm sure that this popup tries to remind allows you to create a recovery drive USB Acer factory default.

I strongly encourage you to do so immediately.

I have two TC-605 and my neighbor has a TC-605.  Some TC-605 requires only a 16 GB USB flash drive while others require a 32 GB USB flash drive.  So I would say get a 32 GB USB flash drive.  They are around $9.00 to best buy.

No doubt create a USB key factory default recovery before upgrade you to Windows 10. (And your acer applications and drivers on a backup DVD too)

Edit: If you do not create a backup default factory USB and something breaks down the road, fresh Acer $ 45 to get the default value of the factory recovery disks.

For more information about system restore, see the below given link

  • OneKey Recovery System killed my S10-2

My S10 - 2 has been seen frequent random restarts. I thought to use OneKey Recovery System since my file system may be damaged. Unfortunately, the restored process has failed and I had to manually shut down the system.

Now, at the start, I just get a white screen with this message:

"Remove the disks or other media."  Press a key to reboot ".

I can't boot into Windows, or even to re-run the process of OneKey.

is the dead S10? no warranty left.

I should not have used OneKey Recovery System. I was just very frustrated with the random reboots and the thought of all reset the original factory settings and start Win7.  now the S10 has met a premature end.

    Thanks for any advice.

Apparently, onekey recovery system wiped out my existing operating system.

have to reinstall a new operating system.

I would check the disk hard is good from the. manufacturerer site drive and get the diagnostic software that they use.  For WD, it is called Data Lifeguard Diagnostic for BACK (CD): http://support.wdc.com/product/download.asp?groupid=606&sid=3

Make the CD and boot it to run the tests.  Or run them from this: http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/

  • System stuck on initiallizing partition recovery Toshiba Satellite A305 with Vista o/s HELP!

My system crashed this afternoon. Several times, I tried running the system since the partition and then recovery from disk ordered directly from Toshiba. The system will run the recovery VERY slowly (usually taking more than 20 minutes to get to the point where I wonder how I want to restore the system. I tried all the options available (personalization of the size of the partition, back out of the box, etc.) to get to the next stage where it begins "initiallizing partition" and it hampers is permanently in this screen.

Knowing that previous screens have taken a lot of time to load from disk, I even let it run all night and it never progresses a plus! Help, please! I just want to get all work as it did when I got it! I had many problems computer through the years and generally could fix with little or no help, but I've never seen a computer get hung up always runs the recovery of its own system.

Please let me know if you have answers for me! Fortunately, I will provide additional details related to the technology if you need it to help diagnose the problem.

I thank all those who are willing to help in advance!

  • Recovery system on Satellite M70-204 PSM71E. The CD/DVD drive does not work

    Hello!

Can you please give me a help and advice on how to solve the following problems:

I got on the last minor problems for three months with Windows Installer: software updates may not always be performed successfully, an error message was issued by Windows Installer on Quick Time, when I started the computer. Apart from him, the computer has been properly runing. I was intending to restore the system with the Toshiba CD in the coming weeks to correct the problems.

But since yesterday, I had a new problem. The CD drive is not recognized in Windows XP.

I tried to repair the driver from the CD player, following the procedure described by Toshiba. It did not work. I don't know if this is a hardware or a software problem preventing me to recognize and use the CD drive and DVD under Windows XP and I don't know or if I can run even more a restoration process.

_ * 1 / if I run a restore process, I think that, initially, the HD will be formatted. How can I be sure that my computer will be able to read the data from the Toshiba Recovery CD? * _ (I have today a computer that almost works. I do not want to be stuck with a dead computer, if the restore process fails because of the CD driver)

_ * 2 / is it possible to restore without using the internal CD player? (using an external CD drive or an external hard drive) * _

Thanks in advance for your help and advice!

I delighted to hear that you solved this Mr. thank you for the comments!
