RED ALERT 2, C & C TIBERIUM WARS, RED 3, GENERAL ALERT

I played these games for years, big fan, but now each of these ea games, either wont load up, or is crash, or it keeps saying that I need directx 8-1, or higher, my computer I watch directx 8-1, but that they will not play again, but I play these games many times before, I do not understand what is goin with ea games. its really frustrating to the point that I really don't want to be no matter what ea games, and I like ea games, I really need help, please.

Hello Truegrunt.

It seems that your installation of DirectX is messed up somehow.  Make sure that you have it installed, I recommend that you run DirectX Setup on Red Alert 3 drive and see if that helps in any way. • Windows 7 incompatibility issues of Tiberium Wars

    Hi all

I have just bought a new laptop and downloaded and installed EA Tiberium Wars fine. However, when you click on one of the icons to load and play the game, nothing happens. I tried via the EA Download Manager and the game desktop icon. I should mention that my laptop is way beyond all the recommended or required spec for the game.

I also had the same problem with Red Alert 3 and also most of the games of the first decade.

What I read I am led to believe, it's down to the problems of compatibility of Windows 7 and 64-bit. Can someone suggest a solution to this? Otherwise I think I have to take my laptop and save me £600 to at least get one that will do purely desktop & internet, what everything is what it seems good so far for...

    Thanks for your suggestions

  • Equium A200-1VO video card drama

I have been brought recently in command and conquer 3 tiberium wars and my laptop gets so far into the game and then comes back to the desktop while saying that there is a problem and the program had to close. I tried to solve this problem with online search, but nothing comes.

My question is, does anyone know how I can solve this problem and if I need to upgrade the system with a new video of the map, where to find it, so can he be in shape, being that it's a laptop?

The system requirements for the game are.
    LSM Vista, ok
Processor. 2.2 GHz or multi core, Okay I have dual core
Memory. 1 GB, ok, I have 2 GB
Hard drive. 6.0 GB, ok I have loads more
    DVD-ROM speed. 8 speed, mines 16 ok
Sound card. direct x 9 compatible, mine is I think
Video card. 128 MB, not sure I think it's

    Then what? s the problem?

    > My question is, does anyone know how I can solve this problem and if I need to upgrade the system with a new video of the map, where to find it, so can he be in shape, being that it's a laptop?

Unfortunately buddy, update of the graphics card is definitely not possible.
The graphics card is not removable and the motherboard cannot be upgraded with another GPU chip!
You must understand that the layout of the card mother books is simply different and not comparable with desktop PC motherboards and graphics cards!

The details on graphics card for laptop in Device Manager. You will find the name of the chart. But as far as I know it s a graphics card Mobile Intel GL960 and to be honest it s certainly not designed for games.

You can try updating the graphics card driver. You can check the clean page of s to Intel for some newer versions, but you shouldn't too t wait.

  • Doom 3, C & C Generals and C & C Tiberian Sun do not run or play in Windows 7 64 bit

Three of my favorite games, C & C Generals, C & C Tiberian Sun and Doom 3 will not run or play in Windows 7 64 bit.  Last week, I built a new computer with Intel i7 860, GA P55A UDP4 Mobo, Gigabyte ATI Radeon HD5770, 4 GB ram, LCD Samsung B2350 with Direct X 11 and Windows 7 64-bit.

Installed the 3 games. C & C Generals does not work, a little box came on the bar saying 'a serious error has occurred' tasks.  I've uninstalled it. Then installed C & C Tib Sun, the error code says "live X-please ensure you have direct X 9 or a later version, also make sure that your video card meets the req min etc.  I have the last card ATI graphics and direct X 11, then why the direct X error message?  Tried Compatibility Mode set reading under Win XP sp2, the game still will not play, and even direct X error message came.

Installed in Doom 3. When I tried to play it, it goes in the first screen of doom, but with the main playing surface in the lower right corner makes it unplayable because you can't see the OK or Cancel buttons.  A run yet compatibility mode and still the same problem.

Why is Windows 7 64 bit as a big missed with old games?  Please help, how can I get these 3 games to play on my win7 64 bit computer?

    Peter K

    Thanks for your advice.

I should have done a little more research before asking my question, my apologies for wasting time anyones.  The C & C Tiberium Wars game works now on my Win7 64 bit computer but only after I downloaded the 263 MB C & C3 update patch.  Also, after you perform the procedure in compatibility mode, the game runs and plays OK.  With Doom3, all I had to do was check the compatibility re fonts to display box, because I was running Win7 in large fonts/icons.  Doom3 now works OK.  As I uninstalled it C & C Generals, I have not bothered with it. I guess in some cases of incompatibility, the answer is to install the latest update for the game /patch, and then run the compatibility mode.

    Hi ChrisNiven,

1 Windows operating system you are using?

2 have you tried to update the Nvidia drivers?

    Method 1:

Check if there are problems with the DirectX installed on the system. Use DXdiag to troubleshoot all direct X related issues. DxDiag ("DirectX Diagnostics") is a diagnostic tool to test the features of DirectX and the problems of video material - or sound-related.

For more information, you can consult the following article:

    Hello

well the series GeForce 7600 Series was released in 2006, it is nearly 4 years.

In combination with the Core 2 Duo 2 GHz, you will be able to play games like Battlefield 2 or Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare very decent

    and a half indecent:
    Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars, half-life 2, counter-strike: Source, The Sims 2, BioShock, Assassin's Creed, Halo 3, Fifa 07, Fifa 08, for example.
    In general, you can play all the games released in< 2007="" or="" early="" 2008="" depending="" on="" the="" image="" quality="">

But games like Crysis or other DirectX 10 games will be not playable.
I hope this helps a little.

    Concerning

  • Cannot install the Command & Conquer 3 on Windows 7 64 bit - error interrupted installation

    I can't C & C3 to install...
I bought the C & C3 EA store download edition earlier and decided last night that I wanted to play, so I went to install it... the installation program starts, I have chosen to install, accepted the EULA and then click Next.  The installation fails almost immediately, saying "& Command Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars install interrupted".
so, to rule out other problems, I tried on the 32 bit XP partition I have on my computer and got the same error.
today I reinstalled windows 7 and windows xp 32-bit on my machine, just in case there was something installed that could interfere (e.g. daemon tools) but no luck.
I lost a lot of time googling, scouring the forums and the only solutions I found were to copy the installation files on the dvd, which does not apply to me since I downloaded the game from the EA store or install the latest version of windows install manually (but windows 7 do not use the latest version by default?) or rename the windows installation folder and then run the installation of the game to 'force' of windows to get the latest version... of course, none of them have worked for windows 7 and I have not tried to update installshield on XP yet...

    can anyone help at all?

God, I feel like such a fool now...
    the problem has been solved...
the proxy executable installation provided by the EA Download Manager (required to install and run the game) was killed before so Setup was not detect the protection against copying and wasn't.
the offending process was a poorly programmed utility I run to automatically perform certain tasks repeatedly during the day, so what a completely clean install without anything more pilots and evaluating environmental Manager download the source of the problem has been discovered...
the offending service program has been brutally murdered and that I write this post, the installation of C & C3 just succeeded...

Thanks for trying to help Chris. B

    Kind regards.

  • DirectX / 3d problem acceleration

    Hello.

I just installed the 64-bit Windows 7 RC and it works without problems. But when I tried to run the Command & Conquer: Tiberium wars, I've faced the following error (roughly speaking, quoting from memory, but you get the idea. If all goes well...) : "cannot detect Directx 9.0. Please make sure that you have installed. I had a similar problem with Neverwinter Nights 2. The error message was (even once about) "could not detect hardware acceleration.

I installed the latest drivers (Catalyst 9.5 for Windows 7 64-bit) and information system shows material correctly and in dxdiag, my version of directx is DX 11. I have two 4850 s ATI HD crossfirex. If everything seems to be fine.

I also tried to run in administrator mode and compatibility mode (does not solve the problem).

If no additional information is required I'll provide (I'll have the exact error messages later today). Later today, I will try to reinstall the drivers and see if that helps.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

    Help, please

    Hello, tyINtrouble

The device is listed as a DVD player?

You can check by clicking on start, click computer, and to check the label of the hard drive, he may mention DVD or DVD - RW etc.

You can also check your connections are secure.

If possible, you can try to test the drive in another machine, or another drive in your computer to see if it works properly.

If your hard drive and DVD/CD player are on the same parallel cable connection, it can cause problems as well.

We can't wait to hear back on your part.
