(Redirected) Alienware aurora r4 (end of 2011). My computer is the breaking of my gpu?

Hi, I had trouble with my r4 Alienware Aurora (end of 2011). The original gpu was a 555 gtx, but I upgraded to an hd 7970 just a few months after I got the computer. This card lasted a year and the theanks to a three-year warranty, I got a new hd 7970 which also lasted about two years before he fell. Still, I got a new card of the company, that I bought, but this time, it was an x 280 r9. This card lasted about an hour before I started having accidents. I decided to send my computer to a company that troubleshoot computers and they concluded that it was the gpu that was broken and they couldn't find any problems with my other components so they think it was a mistake to plant on the r9. However this doesn't seem to be a coincedence, and I think that there is something in my computer that breaks my graphics cards.  Only one strange thing is that my original gtx 555 works perfectly.

Has anyone else had this problem with their r4 aurora?

  • (Redirected) Alienware Aurora (end of 2009) and monitor Dell 3715

    Hello

I have a late 2009 Alienware Aurora and want to add a Dell P2715Q monitor. I don't seem to have the good ports to connect the two. Can someone suggest a solution (short of buying a new computer). I want the solution to allow me to get the HD display on the screen if possible.

    Thank you.

    Hello

Thanks for confirming this. The fact that the card has been tested with another computer and the same problem occurred pretty much tells us the card is defective. I understand your concern, but this is not a coincidence and you have already completed the recommended troubleshooting procedures. I can't think anything either in the computer that would make the defective AMD cards but work perfectly well with NVidia cards.

  • Alienware Aurora R4 (end 2011) 15 months old dead

Hi I have a R4 is just 15 months, during the last 4 weeks, he began to plant

Usually the graphics card driver, finally 2 weeks when turn on would not do after the screening.

Thinking that it was the graphics card that I bought a new one, and it makes no difference

When I switch on the pc it does not fuel upward and the fans turn on but no post screen or whatever it is

Things I've tried, by removing all the Sata connections on motherboard - No difference

Withdrawal of the graphics card and put in service (the bios beeps but nothing expected)

Remove all memory - finally get 2 beeps (not memory) so it's good, but nothing else

I removed the CMOS battery, that I sometimes read that solve the problem - makes no difference

IM lost now what to try next, if it's the motherboard what are my options. pretty gutted as you can understand just out of warranty

You can get a better response if you re - post it in the forum of the Club of Alienware .

  • (Redirected) Alienware Aurora R4 - replacement hard drive failed by disk image

I went to the Dell website and ran the diagnostics for my R4 Aurora. He said that the hard drive had no 2 tests. So, Dell quickly sending a hard drive 2 TB of replacement. I received it today. The bag of the hard drive has a sticker that says "image". I guess that means that a new installation of my Windows 7 Ultimate factory has been installed on the hard disk. I did not receive any instructions, except to say that I need to replace the failed hard drive and return it within 30 days. OK, I can do the physical dominance, but there are a lot of questions, I feel unanswered.

Where are the instructions step by step to do this?

Should I get the ID product, s/serials for Windows 7 and office products that I have on the old drive?

Someone please point me in the right direction. My warranty includes no cat, and Facebook and Twitter are not my best subjects when it comes to getting help.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. The moderators of Dell, plese chime and let me know as well.

    Thank you

  • (Redirected) Alienware Aurora R4 help

My Aurora was bought in 2013, I have no guarantee, I need at least to know if anyone has had or knows what this problem is. I left my computer on at night, I did several times and never had any problems, but this time I was awakened by the high-speed rotating fans. Tired I simply cut off the computer. I wake up the next morning and whenever I try to put on the fan runs at full speed and nothing happens, monitor, keyboard, mouse, nothing. So I unplug the drill rig, hold the power button to do the thing, sorry I forgot what it's called. This time he lights up for a split second then turns off. I know that's not the power supply cause I tested it. I tried to do the reset cmos and nothing thing. Someone please before considering anyone I would at least like to know what the problem is. Thanks in advance.

  • (Redirected) Alienware Aurora still on R4

Can you damage your system, especially the motherboard and the capacitors power if you let this computer on too long? Reference Dell told me, but I have a lot of doubts? Supposedly, I have damaged my motherboard in doing so.

I thank very you much for your comments. So basically what Dell told me (I've supposedly damaged my motherboard and some capacitors leaving him for too long for my specific hardware) is simply wrong?

  • (Redirected) Alienware Aurora R4 - 6 beeps, no video card

    Hi all

I'm having a pretty rough week. I do a lot of PC gaming and this week my machine failed on me.

Under the assumption that I still had warranty, I called Dell. I told them I had 6 beeps, and which would normally be the video card.

    • I replaced the video card, tried two cards into the two slots that they would fit in, with food... still 6 beeps.
    • I have reset the CMOS
    • Reinstall RAM
    • Disconnected all powers components on motherboard and peripheral, and I still get 6 beeps.

This makes me believe that it is either the motherboard or its power supply.

Has anyone else had a similar problem?

    TL; DR below:

I was told that my computer was no longer under warranty and to call to get an extended warranty. 350 + dollars later... I call the next day and told me that I can't use my warranty because the problem arose before I had the warranty.

I've been upset about it, fine, picks me up at the Department I pay so it can be corrected. I hung up at least 4 times, and I keep getting transferred to the wrong Department...

I tried to call Dell warranty... They transfer me Alienware that tells me an e-mail:

... which is not a valid mailbox and who orders me:
... that I get no response...
    I just want to help...

  • (Redirected) Alienware Aurora R3 / water damage / the amount of memory has changed... Problem

    Hi all

Last night, I spilled water on top of my alienware desktop computer. I quickly shutdown, unplugged and held head down for awhile. First time I turned it back on, it gave me the "amount of memory has changed, but none has been added" problem. I went through system troubleshoot (F5 I think) and had everything to the point where it asks if you want to continue for 30 minutes. I skipped that and restarted. Second time I turned on my computer, it loaded all regularly, logged into my account, desktop screen with files, etc. Then he went straight to the screen of closing and began to beep, in the explosion of two. Whenever I try to start, stuck to the error page "the amount of memory" with two beeps.

I tried a few searches and it seems it could be a motherboard problem, I'm not sure. I would like to email technical support, but it seems impossible without active coverage? (Mine is is no longer active).

My question is, is it sounds like a problem of motherboard and if so, how can I replace it in my office? Where to get the part, etc.

Thank you for your useful answers.

  • (Redirected) Alienware x 51 (end 2012 model)

Not know what type of information that I have to give to get assistance from the community, but I can't talk to the technical support because my warranty is up, and I don't have good phone service set up yet.

    Anywhom, this is my problem:

A few months ago, I got a problem where was plugged cable DVI - D and yet the screen is always black, I solved the problem for a day of replacing the CMOS battery and then when I started the PC again (the next day) the screen not show. I tried on another monitor that I have of course worked and it did not work again, so I ordered and installed a new graphics (GeForce GT640) after installation, it worked but would not start windows, so I re-installed through AlienRespawn. When he was done, it load and made me do the initial installation of windows, but when I finally signed, he said that I might have bought a counterfeit Windows version. On the c: / drive, I always have the Windows.old file but I don't know if it's of no use. Aside from that, I've used it since then and most recently, he had a problem with the internet saying that it is connected, but very slow, however, I can not connect to an online service.

    Can anyone help?

    -Thanks!

  • Alienware Aurora R2

    Hello

I have an Alienware Aurora of 2010, it works fairly well, but the screen freeze more often, at least one per day at the moment. When he do that, I have to restart with the Start button

Does anyone have a solution to this problem?

I would also add a 3 ports USB card reader, is it possible Ann, a witch should I buy?

Thank you very much for your help, I am not an expert...

    Olivier

This one is big enough. They make smaller using space 3.5 ". But, Yes, it's nice and it will work. Notice to 20-pin internal USB internal taken of current.

That's why I said, you should use a PCIe card USB-3 like this... to create the USB-3 signal and have a place for the Icybox USB-3 (ports) cables to connect to.
