  • Problems of internet connectivity with Dell Inspiron 7520 (1703 of Dell Wireless 802.11b/g/n 2.4 ghz)

    Hello

I bought a Dell Inspiron 7520 for a week now, and I had a strange problem with internet connectivity since then. First, wifi takes a lot of time to connect. After, I'm online, every 10 minutes my network access stops working completely. But if I click on the network icon in the toolbar, it starts working again, but it stops in the next 10 minutes, once again, and so on. If I try to fix connectivity problems, he always find and solve some in the network card or wireless, but then point again, after 10 minutes, or so, it happens again.

My network card is a Wireless Dell 1703 802.11b/g/n 2.4 ghz and I tried to update and to re - download the firmware, but nothing seems to fix.

What should I do to fix this?

Hello friends. Recently I came across the same problem identified by many with a Dell Inspiron 15R laptop 7520 with the Dell Wireless 1703 (Atheros chipset). After losing an entire afternoon and looking at forums and their complaints, I think that I found the solution to the problem (at least, here is running).

The laptop is connected to a router TP-Link TL-WR740N. The router is configured to run with a frequency of 20 or 40 MHz, making the switch automatically in the factory. The mobile card wireless driver is configured to work only with 20 MHz at the factory. But can be configured to work with two frequencies is adapted automatically. To do this, change the configuration (in Windows 7):

Start > Control Panel > Device Manager > network adapters > Dell Wireless 1703 802.11b/g/n (2,4 GHz) > click the Advanced tab > select 802.11n bandwidth. Change the value of Auto 20 MHz / 40 MHz.

Press OK and wait for to reconnect you.

    I hope this helps.

  • Dell Wireless 802 1801.11bgn it will work on router dual-band 5 ghz?

    Hi all

    I have a Dell XPS 8900 Costco, Windows 10 i7 Setup.

It has a Dell 802 adapter wireless network 1801.11bgn.  This card will work on 5 GHz with a dual band router/modem?  Namely this one don't know if this link does not work there a

SBG6580 surfboard cable modem wifi router and
We have 2 computers, mine is the dell with the above adapter, and the other just has a dongle to 802.11n at 2.4 ghz
I wondered if mine can be configured to 5 GHz or should I spend too much and just get a cable modem/router which only works at 2.4 ghz.  Just trying to think ahead in case I update my card or if itself gets a new computer, I don't want to have to buy a new router to compensate or wireless card. I think that my laptop is also 801.11n
Advice?  Its comcast if it's a need to know.  Thanks in advance!
PS and how does phones work only on EVERYTHING and computers are so limited? (end of the mug shot)

This wireless card does not work on 5 GHz, 2.4 GHz only.

Buying a router dual-band (2.4 and 5 GHz) can be useful if other devices, such as a Tablet, can use 5 GHz. 5 GHz will be probably less crowded with your neighbor WiFi networks, but 5 GHz usually has a range of less than 2.4.

Price is usually why PCs do not come with dual band WiFi. In contrast, the two strips to a phone offers more flexibility when you're out and about. And these days, smartphones can cost more than the average desktop PC!

  • Dell Wireless 1705 - more another question Intel 5300

Anyone know who makes the Dell Wireless 1705 map?

I was not able to card information or if it is Atheros, Broadcomm, or other...

I ask because I got a laptop with a wireless card making failed and Dell has been VERY slow to replace (note side...) I can honestly say this was my first BAD experience with their service and WOW... It is bad...) ...

They mentioned that the replacement will be the Dell Wireless 1705... Then, anything anyone knows about that I'm curious to know...

Rather than wait for this process (diagnosed with technical support last Saturday, partly even not yet shipped), I'm pondering just order a Dell Wireless card 5300 Amazon and throwing that in there.

One reason that wouldn't work? I know I'll lose bluetooth, but really wouldn't miss it... That I'd win MIMO and, based on the reviews I've read, the Intel is a much better map...

  • Dell Wireless 1702 802.11b/g/n - device errors

I have a Vostro 3550 running Windows 7 Pro. He has a card of Dell Wireless 1702 802.11b/g/n with an intermittent fault:

The error messages of this device, Report Manager are:

This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12)If you want to use this device, you will need to disable one of the other devices on this system.

    and also:

This device cannot start. (Code 10)

These two appear about 80% of the time while trying to use the Wifi. A restart of removes it the error message and the wifi can sometimes serve as usual for a short period before one of the errors reappear. When booting on a live-cd Linux error messages also appear with the ath9k drivers.

I was not able to find any help elsewhere, but the laptop is still under warranty and otherwise in good condition.

This problem was corrected by a Dell technician replacing the physics of the wireless card

  • Dell DW1506 (802.11 b/g/n) half mini-map WLAN

I bought a Dell Inspiron 660 s today and the order confirmation scored points ' Dell DW1506 (802.11 b/g/n) half mini-map WLAN. "  I have a Speedstream 4300 modem connected to my existing computer and wonder if it is possible to connect the modem and the DW1506 or if the DW1506 would replace the modem.  I apologize if this isn't the most intelligent question, but I've never had an experience with a WLAN.  Thanks for any help!

    Hi SquarePeg61,

The modem Speedstream 4300 does not support Wi - Fi. you need a wireless router to connect wireless computers.

As the system has a wireless card installed DW1506 mid-height mini-map WLAN installed in it, please get a wireless router to an electronics nearby at a cost-effective price store to connect the wireless system.

Good answer for any other help.

  • XPS issues 8500 - Dell 1073 802.11b/g/n network adapter.

I have a situation about 1073 802.11b/g/n with the network adapter.

I am connected to my router on the N network connection but my wireless network connection status only advise a 72.2 Mbps speed. I thought the speed using N would be up to 300 Mbps. My router is only 10 feet away. I had a play with the preinstalled Net Smart Atheros program, but it is worse. Does anyone else have questions or ideas why this is happening.

I have one similar problem and other with the same computer, XPS 8500 and the Dell Wireless 1703 I received 10 days ago. Played with him since then.

I found something that helped on the properties of the device on the Advanced tab, I noticed that 802.11n bandwidth has been set to 20 MHZ only, which changed to 20/40 Mhz Auto, which helped somewhat, not completely.

I see conflicting "information" too... the connectoid on the Systray shows 5 bars1 only 3 bars. Open some utilities like wireless assistant and he said 150 Mbps speed and sheer force of 50%. The State of Wi - Fi under properties of the map indicates 135Mbps?

I activated the settings of connections Atheros also, no help (where is there documentation on that and the HOTSPOT?).

In addition, out of the SLUMBER is a hit or Miss thing. I am to check EACH setting on all devices and power to ensure that the 1703 Option is NOT turned off during sleep, however returning most of the time that it does NOT immediately restore. Shortly after a short period is the will, other times I have to reconnect manually and rarely, NOTHING helps and I have to re - start.

Suggestions and help please? My computer is away from the router, but that other devices have NO problem. In addition, about the ONLY thing I can say is working properly is my Internet speed, which is 40Mbps down, 5Mbps upward, at least it's okay (but any connection above 40Mbps who would support).

I am now running Vista, but I had the same problem on the same computer with Windows XP.

I ordered a 1400 Vostro with Vista business with Dell Wireless 1505 Wireless-N internal card. I intend to use this card on my current network 802.11 g with WPA (personal) security, but it seems that descriptions of product for this card don't say "WEP 64 and 128 bit. OTOH, the description of the Intel Wireless-n card mentions all the variations of WPA encryption. Without a model number, we cannot exclude that particular mouse is incompatible with OSX, especially if it is old.

OS X pair with a large number of devices bluetooth automatically, but some need to be put in pairing mode.  You will find the Dell mouse model and see if that is his business.

    Help!

So why didn't it connects to your router on the 5.0 GHz band?

Did you have to do something special for your other 5.0 GHz Wireless N cards to connect to your router?

    Answer to?  N °

Then explain to me why you can't connect to the 5.0 GHz with the AC map Strip?

HP has put the designation of expertise because I have solved thousands of questions from members of the forum, not me.

It's not my problem if you cannot accept the facts of the case.

Of course, it's a card dual band.

On the band of 2.4 GHz and AC on the 5.0 GHz band Wireless N Wireless.

If you want this map to be able to connect to the 5.0 GHz frequency, then you need to upgrade your router to router dual-band wireless AC.
