Reference Dell 3543 Windows 7 get stuck on login after bios update

I connect a computer dell laptop 3543 with ubuntu and I install Windows 7 64 bit on it. I got the driver from the dell site. I installed all drivers other than the bios update. Laptop was working fine. Finally, I installed the update of the bios with laptop plugged in to the power supply. It installed fine. But after that just stuck Windows before invites it connection. I can connect in safe mode but. I reinstalled windows 7 but the problem still remains. Please tell me how to solve this problem. I wouldn't mind back too the BIOS.

Hey Rishi,

I found that it was also able to downgrade the bios version. BTW no usb is necessary there was an entry after pressing F12(Boot options) and there is a utility to work with bios versions. It keep a previous version of bios so I could easily select and install. As expected windows problem get solved with that.

Thanks for all the help. See you soon

    Hi Michael,

    Thanks for the reply.

    You have installed on the computer registry cleaners?

    I suggest you to scan SFC (System File Checker) and check if it helps.

    SFC scan will search the system files corrupted on the computer and replace them.

    Use the System File Checker tool to troubleshoot missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows 7 system files

    Hello

    To help you further on this issue, I would like to know some information about the same.

    1. What is the model number of netbook?

    2 did you run Upgrade Wizard at level before you try to upgrade to Windows 8.1?

    3. have you installed a third-party security software on your computer?

    4. have you connected external devices other than the keyboard and mouse?

    I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it works for you.

    Method 1:

    If you have connected external devices other than the keyboard and mouse, then try to disconnect and check.

    Method 2:

    If you have not run the upgrade wizard before you begin the upgrade process, and then run the upgrade wizard and check if that helps.

    Upgrade Wizard: FAQ:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-8/Upgrade-Assistant-download-online-FAQ

    Method 3:

    Uninstall third-party security you have installed on your computer and check.

    Warning: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Method 4:

    Put the computer in a clean boot state, and then try to upgrade to Windows 8.1 and check if the problem persists. This will help you to disable all Non-Microsoft services on your computer.

    How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7 or Windows 8 / 8.1:

    Note: After the boot minimum troubleshooting step, see the "How to reset the computer to start as usual after a clean boot troubleshooting" section in the link provided to return the computer to a Normal startup mode.

  • Question from windows vista - get stuck on the Welcome screen.

    I recently had my computer startup problems - it gets stuck on the home page, even if I restart it continues.  If I'm doing a ctrl + alt + delete, and then it displays the desktop.  I have no updates that must be accomplished.  you have an idea why this is stuck?  Thank you!

    Restore point:

    Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

    Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

    Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:
    Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
  • Pavilion 15-ab137ca: stuck on the management of the BIOS screen after BIOS update
    A ran a BIOS update that was a solution on this forum to prevent the Startup Menu to appear whenever I start the machine. Said that he would change from F16 to F10. Now, he has been slain on the screen of the BIOS for 30 minutes management. The display shows, the system BIOS is updated. This update will take a few minutes to complete. Do not close or remove the external power supply to your computer during the process. Check the new BIOS image. Block 2048/2048. Progress at 100%. How long should I wait?
    Hey!
    I am pleased that you are in your laptop.
    What is the screen below as you talk?
    All HP and Compaq computers that were manufactured with 10 Windows can use Secure Boot. Secure startup is enabled by default on these computers.
    If the image above is actually what you are talking about, please take a look at the documentation for Secure Boot . You will see a section called disabling Secure Boot... This should help you with the start menu.
    I hope this helps!
    Please let me know!
    Have a great day!
  • All the Menus in Windows 7 are lined up right after the update to Windows
    After installing updates recommended for Win7 via Windows Update, all menus are now lining up with the right side of the title of the menu instead of the left side. For example, instead of the left edge of the menu file lining up under the 'F' in the file, the right edge is aligned under the 'e' in the file. This happens in all programs except Firefox and it's annoying. Ideas for a fix would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
  • Windows 7 cannot connect to internet after software update
    Last week my brother called me stating that he had updated Adobe Reader and it said to reboot. After the restart, his computer was delivered indicating he had no internet access. I went to the wire and took a look at his computer and discovered that, although he said he had access to its local network, he could not access the user interface of the router. We checked cell phones through its wi - fi and Netflix connection on its Blu - ray player. These two worked, if the router is always connected to the internet, even if the computer could not connect. We tried to reset the router to the factory settings, but still could not access it from his computer. Finally, we did a system restore to a checkpoint from the morning before this happened. After the restoration, the internet works again and all the updates without any problem.
    Last night, I received a call from my cousin who, after an update of its AMD graphics drivers, had the same issue with network connectivity to reboot to apply updates. He had already tried to reset his router, which was a different brand/model, but not able to access the user interface even though his computer showed that he had access to the local network. I proposed the restoration of the system, which worked.
    This looks like exactly the same problem despite an update for me different is originally on each computer. None of these updates should affect what anyone with the network settings of the computers, and updates same ran after the restoration had all the problems. Does anyone have a possible explanation for the way in which this issue could occur?
    These PCs have McAfee? McAfee has been updated at the same time that the last batch of Windows 7 & updates updated to Adobe, but McAfee which is the cause of problems of internet connection for most, if not all, users of McAfee.
