Reference Dell coming 8 Pro availability in India

Hello

It's not even a single tablet of DELL in India which has a huge demand for a decent tablet device. The last-born Dell place 8 pro fits perfectly to the Indian market for its specifications and price.

While competitors like Asus (t100), HP (ElitePad), Lenovo (IdeaPad & ThinkPad) already announced or launched the windows tablet devices, prices and specifications of low-end are what makes them so popular.

So my question is... When DELL account at the launch of the Conference Series tablets, especially coming 8 Pro in India?

rakrockon

Yes... lets hope it... I'm going to place 8 pro upon its release in India. Also hope that there will be huge difference in price compared with the price tag of $299 in the United States.

Hello Rakrockon,

Thank you for your interest in Dell coming Pro 8. Different products are released in different regions at different times and with different options according to the demand of customers, limitations in service and logistical support.  We will be releasing in India in the near future.  If the output goes as in other regions, the WIFI version will be released first, followed by the version Mobile broadband.

Come back often!

  • Reference Dell coming 8 Pro poor choice of taking Micro has USB with USB Micro-B plug. Already broken!

Got the Dell coming 8 Pro Tablet and there seems to be a great Windows Tablet. But I already broke one of the pins in the Micro USB connector. Funny, it is taking the Tablet is a rectangular Micro-A and the power cable plug is Micro-B (form no-brainer which allows you to plug in the right direction, if the plug is also Micro B). You can easily put the Micro-B plug in the Micro-A plug in the wrong way, and if force you it, it will break the pins inside. Just like I did today! I don't know who in the world made this choice! I have been using Android phones that are using the Micro-B Plug and a Micro-B plug correctly!

For my problem, I'll try to call Dell and see if they will replace the connector. :-(

Again device shipped, put the old device in box to send back for warranty. Tech couldn't confirm whether or not I would be charged. For me they will say it is the end user damaged and charge me for a new tablet.  If the end-user damaged, which I do not think that it is, I would rather just replace the USB jack, but do not have this option.  FYI - supervisor confirmed that Best Buy didn't was NOT a local tech - happy I rally call would have laughed if Geek squad guy

  • Reference Dell coming 8 Pro 64 GB Wireless does not start after the latest updates including 8.1 update 1

Well this morning not to wireless and windows reported an error on the boot device.  So I made a restore point from a week ago and it works.  Thanks a lot for dell.  Is there a fix. Or should I just not do updates for a while.  And there is no driver to the backup on.

If I can assume that you have the latest version of the bios, installed wifi and wapi drivers I can offer this as a possible solution to the cause of install 8.1 update my first attempt failed as well. http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/947821?WA=wsignin1.

  • Reference Dell coming 11 Pro won't turn on

It seems to load (the led is on), but when I press the power button / nothing happens. Now, I tried the power button for a duration of measure as well.

I had this problem this morning. Aggravating! Since there is no answer that worked on this dialog box, I have another searched for and found a solution that worked for me at least. If the place does not light, and you know it is charged, press and hold power for 20 seconds, then hold it again for 1 second. It should start normally after that.

  • Reference Dell coming 8 Pro does not charge?

I bought this from amazon and it arrived fully charged. I used it for about 3 days and I die last night while watching a video. Let him load 3 hrs today with the unit off and then when I he turned the dough only said charge of 2%. I use the charger supplied with the device and the light is on when he is in charge

Another problem may be the Port extremely poorly designed on the venue...  It has a USB Port to the Micro-A, and they ship a USB Micro-B plug.  Of course, making works, but port is rectangular and the CAP is trapezoidal.  (See pictures attached)...  A bit like putting a round plug in a square hole.  It can be connected that it in itself, but only works one way, and if you plug it in wrong, you can break something.  A clue would be the USB image on the form itself must face the FRONT of the place when you plug...  Large part of the connector down, party narrow the decision-making upward.

The document shows, type a contradictory picture of the USB plug.  It shows the metal part of the plug upside...  In any case, see two photos I have attached for clarification.

  • Update Windows and Dell coming 8 Pro windows store questions

    Hello

I recently bought a Dell coming 8 Pro 32 GB tablet.  Everything is working fine without any problems, but then just the other day I couldn't access is no longer the windows store.  It is just stuck to the green at the loading screen and never changes.  I tried wsrest.exe, but that did nothing.  In addition, and I don't know if they are related, I read that windows store problems can come from need to install windows updates.  So I tried to open the Windows updates, but I can't access any option, whenever I click on something it just freezes.  So I don't know what is happening!  If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, I too have had the same problem but have managed to solve. I went in desktop and accessed the control panel. Click system and security, then under windows update click on ' check for updates '. Once done, it should tell you that you have updated and click on install. Let it do its thing and when it asks to restart so and once rebooted, and all updates installed the windows store should work again that how I got mine will once again. It will be useful.

  • (Redirected) Dell coming 11 Pro micro SD card tray

The micro SD card tray (as described on page 11 of the Dell coming 11 Pro user guide) broke, and I'm trying to get a replacement.

After 16 calls to Dell... anyone know what I'm talking about (even if I use the EXACT user guide PHRASE to describe the part.)

1 does anyone know the part number for the micro SD card tray?

    2. does anyone know where I can get the part? (Dell tells me that ordering parts of them takes 6 weeks.)

I bought this tablet special Windows because it has a USB OTG port, built in... don't even think to see if you could plug a card micro SD directly in the Tablet!  My MISTAKE...

Thanks in advance for any help you can give!

  • Cannot connect large hard drives to Dell coming 8 Pro

I bought a Dell coming 8 Pro yesterday and have several questions.   I'll post the others separately.

I tried to connect several large (500 GB, 1 TB) hard drives in the device, but it does not recognize them.   I tried this with at least 3 of them so far.  It does not seem to recognize young readers usb very well.    Does anyone else have this problem?  Workaround solutions?   Seems to limit the usefulness of a device with a small disc hard (I got the 64 GB version).

    Hey, Buzz,

Your biggest hard disks have ports to connect an external power supply? The venue Pro 8 is a small portable device with OTG, or supported USB ' On the Go ' as some phones. When used with an OTG cable, it can act as a USB host for simple devices of power like maps flash, mouse and keyboards, but not devices with rotating mass like hard drives large (or perhaps old) and fancy as USB vacuum keyboard and fan items. If your hard drives just to make a clicking sound when it is attached, it is likely that they do not receive enough power to spin to the top. This is normal for OTG devices. And if you don't have a power supply for the readers, you could try a self-powered USB hub that can provide more power to readers and still allows the V8P communicate as host.

  • Reference Dell place 11 Pro - can it work without battery, with power supply connected?

Dell coming 11 Pro can be used without battery, with power connected?

Yes, works perfectly on AC only.   Keep in mind that if you have a sudden loss of power that you might have some issues such as loss of data, corruption of data, etc..    As if you lost power on a laptop (without battery) or a desktop computer.

  • Rotation Miracast blocking and screen Dell coming 8 Pro

... then... After installing all of the updates, I am always frustrated by the meeting place 8 pro using miracast. I can go up to view without problem, however once I got it on the second screen only, I can launch and use the desktop in landscape mode, however, when I run (or in this case to install Skype desktop) the screen is automatically rotated in portrait mode (I put in rotation to "lock"). It is VERY annoying, I have to unplug the 2nd screen, just to be able to navigate through the screen as everything is now 'out' to portrait again! (I tried to make profiles to block in landscape mode, without result, the Tablet just begins to turn in portrait mode!...) Which, if all parameters, will keep the display in a mode "locked"? Sometimes I can turn the tablet in portrait mode, landscape to get my 2nd screen to show again.

I have no love of Dell support because they seem perplexed by their own device. Is miracast a 'standard '? I have NO problem with android devices, like I can "lock" the display in portrait mode or landscape. I notice Dell coming 8 Pro is not a certified device miracast (I think I saw this on the site of alliance miracast?) Is this a problem with this device (such as the active stylus fiasco?) All I wanted was to have my tablet in landscape mode, with a keyboard and a mouse (no problem) and "cast" fashion LANDSCAPE IN and lock it!

Is there ANYWHERE for a guide to not clear and concise for not having the scenario of Tablet/miracast above work? I been hit n miss here!

    Thanks in advance!

Update: finally have a stable connection... BUT. DON'T let NOT the tablet to go to "sleep", or whatever he decided to do, the connection is lost, and only a reboot will find/reset the wireless adapter.  Looks like this was not thought good/tested/implemented?... Actually got extend to work... as long as this dosent puppy tries to return to auto rotation...

Your "Update" did not appear until after the page refreshes when I posted my 1st reply...

The connection to the time-out of PTV wiil (drop) after some time, if the PC interrupts the communication... IMO, it's normal and my connection WiDi of a laptop which is also. What not 'normal' is to have to re-boot to restore.

  • Reference Dell place 11 Pro shipping disappointment

I am writing this primarily to express my frustrations and I hope that someone at Dell will take notice because I think to complain to someone on the phone at Dell will fall on the deaf ears and will be a waste of time.  It seems that we, the consumers are at the mercy of Dell and for me, this is unacceptable.

A bit of history.  I ordered a Dell coming Pro 11 the day where he was available to order (11/8).  I had a few changes, I had to make to the order, remove their extended maintenance guarantee and remove the stylus and the keyboard - no change in reality have been made to the tablet itself.  This has been done on 11/11.  I never received a confirmation email from Dell telling me when should I expect my 'New' order, but I have received an order number of the person that I spoke, which was the only way I could follow the command.  The 'new' had a date of expected delivery of 12 to 18.  It seemed reasonable to me and I was happy to wait and excited.

In the meantime, I started to order accessories - screen protector and a 64 GB MicroSD in preparation for the arrival of my tablet.  18 I still had not received my being shipped order notifications and Dell sent an email about why, or when I would expect it.  I had received SEVERAL phone calls indicating that the order was in production and should be here 12/18.  I think that on the 18th or 19th I checked the Dell order support site to see that the issue had been delayed until 02/01/2014.  I was shocked... and spoke to the person who asked me the prescription being in production about why it had not been shipped.

The 2nd came and went, and still, only, I received a phone call from the rep of Dell indicating the order had been pushed back to 9, then on the 9th, declaring that it had been postponed until the 16th.  This morning I checked the Dell support site to be notified that the scheduled delivery date is 01 23, 2014.

I canceled the order this morning because I don't think I, or someone else should wait indefinitely for their order to arrive once his promised summer unnecessarily.  The "estimated delivery date" is a joke and does not reflect exactly any time in which the order could actually ship.

Looking on the Dell website, you can order a Tablet Dell place 11 Pro with the 16/01/2014 estimated shipping date all the way until 06/02/2014 depending on the type of Tablet that you choose.  I know I'm not the only one who had this problem and I hope that more people shut up someone at Dell reviews and change the way they do business.

I work in the COMPUTER industry and I am highly disappointed by Dell.  For now I'll only order Dell hardware for the company I work for. However, we will have to reassess these orders as well.

Thanks for listening/reading my rants, and I hope that others have had better luck I have.

  • Reference Dell place 11 Pro and Dock

    Hi all

I have a Dell coming Pro 7130 11 and the docking station. I can't have an external display to work using the HDMI port or display connectors. I have 2 Dell E198WFP (1440 x 900), the two connecting using DVI inputs. Display sometimes appears, but does not have the resolution or refresh rate tries to run at 75 Hz despite being set at 60 Hz

AFAIK drivers etc are all up to this date, the tablet can connect to an external monitor using the construction to the mini HDMI port without problem?

    Any suggestions, anyone please?

Hi, the dock rarely works for me... the workaround I found is to unplug power dock and plug back in. (works 95% of the time, I get the monitor like that). It is with the 7130 model.

  • Adding DVD to Dell coming 8 Pro software programs

Is it possible to add a software I have on DVD to a coming 8 Pro?

Well, it depends on the particular DVD player, and you raised still another possibility to ensure that portable DVD player gets the power it needs to run.  (I'm not sure if your opportunity would work, however, as the laptop and the Tablet might think they have 'ownership' of the DVD player, and that could cause a conflict.)

If the portable DVD Player connects directly to an electrical outlet (I have a large DVD player, old people do that), it will have all the power it needs and then you just plug the USB cable from the DVD player into a USB OTG cable adapter, connected to the tablet.

If the DVD is powered by the USB connection (like many modern slim portable DVD players), it is possible that the tablet can provide enough power to run the DVD player directly (still once, plug the USB cable of the drive in a USB OTG cable adapter connected to the Tablet).  But if the DVD player does not receive enough power in this way (mine does not), which goes back to my original idea, you would plug its USB cable to a USB hub powered (that itself is related to the sector, which player will equip the DVD), and then the USB cable between the USB hub to the USB OTG cable adapter attached to the tablet.  Or you can try to use the power of Dell + dongle data mentioned above and see if the DVD gets enough power to be run this way--that worked for me.

A powered USB hub sample (Note: there are many out there; the image of it does not show the power adapter to the USB hub, but there is one, from the description and comments): http://www.amazon.com/Belkin-Powered-Ultra-Slim-4-Port-F4U040v/dp/B005A0B3FG/ref=sr_1_22?s=pc & ie = UTF8 & qid = 1412909860 & sr = 1-22 & keywords = powered + usb + hub and here are the hub powered I (also bought on sale locally) : http://www.amazon.com/SIIG-10-PORT-100-240-Features-Loading/dp/B005AB67S8/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8 & qid = 1412912950 & sr = 8-4 & keywords = siig + 10 - port + hub

The data + power supply Dell dongle from Dell:

And a USB OTG cable adapter, Dell (again, they are many out there): http://accessories.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19&sku=A7223619

(If Dell links don't work no, just do a search on the terms in the Dell store).

Personally, I like the idea (if a DVD player power need "help") to use the data + power supply Dell dongle - it worked for me and others have reported the same.  This is a simple installation, and then you have the dongle for other uses as well.  But you should see if your DVD player gets enough power in this way.

    Hope this helps-

  • Update Windows 8.1 WIMboot on Dell coming 8 Pro?

With the recent update of Windows 8.1 WIMboot novelty can save a lot of space on the Windows partition, replacement of the Windows filesystem with the much smaller pointer files, for an image compressed in the hidden restore partition.

I guess that Dell will implement for future shipments soon, but it is possible to do on existing tablets? Either get a picture of recovery updated with WIMboot partition and reinstall Windows from it? I can afford the re-installation pain to get the couple GB of free space.

I have applied the WIMBoot function for my Dell coming Pro 8 and got more than 20 GB of free space.  He is more careful about a stock of factory of Windows (via reset) but it can be done on a full Windows.

If you google Dell and WIMBoot sites, you can find posts on doing so in your DV8P...
