  I noticed a huge performance drag after updating the firmware and drivers of my XPS 15 9550. The update took place August 4, 2016.

  Performance of my usual applications (Chrome, development tools and IDE, etc.) is dramatically lower. In general, I would say that things take about 3 times as long to arrive. I checked the CPU (normal), but also memory consumption (as normal) to discover that the problem is with the SSD drive.

  BIOS, iDRAC, Lifecycle Controller firmwares are newer. I tried to upgrade from iDRAC and directly from controller (using SUU) life cycle, the same thing. haven't tried yet the OS.   I want to update the firmware H700 integrated into my new 12.0.1 R815 - 0091 to 12.3.0 - 0032.

  My first thought was to start from Systems Build and Update Utility with a copy of the am630_suu_a00.iso that I had downloaded, concatenated, and copied onto a portable hard drive connected to a USB port.
