Referring to a specific bit of the page of the copy number

I'm sure it can be done, but could not find a clue. I need to refer to a specific copy block in my document. It should look like:

See annex, page 42.

I would like to have it automated, so that the flow of things, the reference number is updated.

Is this possible?

You want a reference, new in InDesign CS4. Read up on it in the help. InDesign CS3 or earlier, use Google for "Jong TEU InDesign script of cross reference", without the quotes.

  • Place executives of texts related to specific coordinates to the page

    Hello!

    I'm after a script or another solution to automatically move the blocks of text to the specific X/Y coordinates on a page. I know it's possible with text anchors, but in my case, there is no text to attach the frame too. It's only a block of text on the page and I want that it align on a specific spot on each page by running a script or by applying an object style. It's 1 million pages, so do manually is a very time-consuming procedure.

    While the equalizer is certainly worth a loook for the time being, you can try this:

    app.doScript (main, undefined, undefined, UndoModes.ENTIRE_SCRIPT, "Move Textframes")

    function main() {
         app.findTextPreferences = NothingEnum.NOTHING;
         app.findTextPreferences.appliedParagraphStyle = app.activeDocument.paragraphStyles.item("dings");
         var hits = app.activeDocument.findText();
         for (var n = 0; n < hits.length; n++) {
              var tf = hits[n].parentTextFrames;

  • Hp2540 prints a bit of the page or a blank page

    So I have an Air of IPad and I send to print a document through the box with the arrow on the printer HP 2540. Sometimes it prints the page, but more often it prints some of the page or just to get a piece of paper through and does not print anything. The lights on the printer are turned on and and say that it is connected to the internet, the ipad is connected to the internet. When I send something to print, even just a black and white document very basic printer flashes that he receives, it takes an age to start to print then as I say especially to print a few lines and pull the rest of the page through white. Please help this is driving me around the bend!

    Hi @Birdfromblighty

    Can you please try to make a copy? If the printer can print a complete copy without display this question, then I suggest to close the iPad and fill a power cycle on the router. If the copy does not work, then we have a hardware problem. Let me know and we can go from there.

    To power cycle the router, leave the router on and unplug the power cable. Leave it unplugged for a minute, then plug it back.

    I'm sure you know how to stop the iPad, but some people do not, so just in case;

    • Press and hold the power button until the Red slider appears.
    • Drag the slider to the right.
    • To turn on the iPad, press the power button.

    I look forward to hear from you.

  • Count the total number of specific words on each page

    I have a script that counts the number of times where the word 'Manager' is displayed on each page of a report.

    This is what is returned in the console after running the script:

    Count the number of managers 1 Page number 1

    Count the number of managers 2 Page number 1

    Count the number of managers 3 Page number 1

    Count the number of managers 4 Page number 1

    Count the number of managers 5 Page number 1

    Count the number of managers 1 Page number 2

    Count the number of managers 2 Page number 2

    Count the number of managers 3 Page number 2

    I need the console to report with only the total number of times that the word Manager appears on each page (once) and not iterate over each of them.

    Can someone please advise how this can be achieved?

    Script as follows:

    var this.numPages = NUMPAGES;

    for (var k = 0; k < numpages; k ++)
    {
    {
    numWords var = this.getPageNumWords (k);

    var number = 0;

    for (var i = 0; i < numWords; i ++)
    {
    var ckWord = this.getPageNthWord (k, i, true);
    var q = this.getPageNthWordQuads (k, i);
    Convert quads in the rotation by default user space
    Userspace used by links.
    m = (new Matrix2D).fromRotated(this,0);
    mInv = m.invert)
    r = mInv.transform (q)
    r = r.ToString)
    r = r.split(",");
    If (ckWord = "Manager")
    {
    Count ++;
    Console.println ("Count none managers" + count + "Number of Page" + (k + 1));
    }
    }
    }
    }

    Just move the statement outside the inner loop:

    var this.numPages = NUMPAGES;

    for (var k = 0; k)< numpages;="" k++)="">

    numWords var = this.getPageNumWords (k);

    var number = 0;

    for (var i = 0; i)< numwords;="" i++)="">

    var ckWord = this.getPageNthWord (k, i, true);

    var q = this.getPageNthWordQuads (k, i);

    If (ckWord = 'Manager') {}

    Count ++;

    }

    }

    Console.println ("Count none managers" + count + "Number of Page" + (k + 1));

    }

    I bought windows 7 the other day and it came with CD 32-bit and 64-bit.  I jumped in the 64-bit CD to install on my computer brand new brand with all new components, because I built it myself.  I do not think that to make sure that she had installed 64-bit because who would have thought that the CD would install 32-bit. So I played minecraft last night and my client has crashed, citing that he was short of allocated memory, which given I have 8 GB of it, which should not happen.  In any case, I checked my computer > properties to make sure that all the RAM showed upward, and I realized that the 32-bit installed CD and so was only 3.4 GB of RAM let me use. When you get to the pilot and sections of the memory of the troubleshooter check the following message to
    update drivers and memory test and then return to the troubleshooter if necessary.

    1000007E and 0000007E are the same

    Cause

    SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED bug control is a very common bug control. To interpret it, you must identify which exception has been generated.

    Common exception codes are:

    • 0 x 80000002: STATUS_DATATYPE_MISALIGNMENT indicates an unaligned data reference was encountered.
    • 0 x 80000003: STATUS_BREAKPOINT indicates a breakpoint or ASSERTION was met when no kernel debugger was attached to the system.
    • 0xc0000005: STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION indicates a memory access violation has occurred.

    For a complete list of exception codes, see the Ntstatus.h file located in the directory Inc. of the Microsoft Windows Driver Kit (WDK).

    Solve the problem

    If you do not have to debug this problem, you must use certain basic troubleshooting techniques.

    • Make sure you have enough disk space.
    • If a driver is identified in the bug check message, disable the driver or check with the manufacturer for driver updates.
    • Try changing video cards.
    • Check with your hardware vendor for updates to the BIOS.
    • Disable the BIOS memory options such as implementing caching or shading.

    If you plan to debug this problem, you may find it difficult to get a stack trace. Parameter 2 (the address of the exception) should identify the driver or function that caused the problem.

    If exception code 0 x 80000003 occurs, a hard-coded breakpoint or assertion was hit, but the system was launched with the /nodebug. switch. This problem should occur infrequently. If it occurs repeatedly, make sure that a kernel debugger is connected and the system is booted with the Switch/DEBUG .

    In case of exception code 0 x 80000002, the trap frame provides additional information.

    If you do not know the specific cause of the exception, consider the following questions:

    • Hardware incompatibility. Ensure that any new hardware that is installed is listed in the list of the products tested Microsoft Windows market.
    • Service driver or defective peripheral system. A chauffeur service or defective peripheral system could be responsible for this error. The hardware problems, such as BIOS incompatibilities, conflicts of memory and IRQ conflicts can also generate this error.

    If a driver is listed by name in the bug check message, disable or remove that driver. Disable or remove drivers or services that have been recently added. If the error occurs during the startup sequence and the system partition is formatted with the NTFS file system, you may be able to use Safe Mode to rename or to delete the faulty driver. If the driver is used as part of the start-up procedure of the system Safe Mode, you must start the computer by using the Recovery Console to access the file.

    If the problem is associated with Win32k.sys, the source of the error may be a third-party remote control program. If this software is installed, you can remove the service by starting the computer by using the recovery and then Console by removing the offending system service file.

    Check the system log in Event Viewer for additional error messages that might help identify the device or driver responsible for control of bug 0x7E.

    You can also disable memory cache BIOS may try to resolve the error. You must also run the diagnostics of material, especially the scanner memory, which provides the manufacturer of the system. For more information about these procedures, see the manual of your computer.

    The error that generates this message may occur after the first reboot during Windows Setup, or after installation is complete. A possible cause of the error is lack of disk space for installation and the system BIOS incompatibilities. For any problems during the installation of Windows that are associated with lack of disk space, reduce the number of files on the hard disk drive target. Search and delete temporary files that you do not have to have, files hidden Internet, application backup files and files saved .chk , which contain fragments of files on disk scans. You can also use an another hard disk drive with more free space for the installation. You can solve the problems of BIOS by upgrading the version of the system BIOS.

  • version 64 bit or 32 bit of the installation package?

    No matter, it is crucial, if I install the 32-bit version or the 64-bit version of the software and drivers for my HP OfficeJet Pro 8500 has? I know that common sense would indicate 64 bit since my home prem of windows 7 64-bit office. But both of my programs run as 32-bit only, and they are all grouped together. I'm not technically proficient, I have no idea if there are reasons to use 32-bit software of the printer or, instead, if it's important I download and install the 64-bit version specifically. Thanks in advance,-W

    Thank you, Yes. During the reinstallation of the 64-bit version, the process has failed to find the proper drivers, probably the result of my using the HP cleaning brush. so I used the HP diagnostic printer install utility which seems to have successfully completed the installation. I plan to replace my current hard drive (which is functional, but not surprising in the first place) with a Solid State drive, which will help to my Alienware Area-51 m9750 notebook.  I find a reader fully compatible solid state, but I'm not there purchase Alienware.  I'm currently under Windows Vista Home Premium (32 bit), and I still have the recovery DVD used to reinstall the operating system.  I reformatted my hard drive several times using this disc, each time that the deletion of the whole score and starting from scratch.  Every time I did it, I'm never asked to activate my copy of windows, mysteriously turned on when I boot on my new install of Windows for the first time, without even plugging the cable Ethernet first, and my house has no wireless network.

    I wonder, if/when I install a new hard drive, will have a different experience somehow in regards to Windows activation?  I'm unable to use my OEM of Windows copy at all?  Alternatively, my windows mysteriously will activate itself without ever seeing the internet as it does now?

    I love installing Windows and then do not need to activate it, and I hope I have that experience when I install my new hard drive.

    I just want to know what to expect in terms of my ability to use my copy of Vista OEM, and what process I have to go through to make it fully functional.

    Thank you very much!

    The physical hard disk (solid state or record) is not serious for the operating system that is installed on.  As long as the drive is a standard interface and does not require special drivers not work (and most don't), you should have no problem.

    The recovery disks you are using are set to read specific information about the motherboard and as long as there is this particular information, that it is looking she will be triggered and doesn't have to go online to activate as the retail of Windows is required to do.  The only problem with this type of activation, it's that if the motherboard fails ever it should be replaced with a similar brand and model or autonomous activation fails and the operating system is an OEM version that is related to this motherboard and cannot be enabled on a newer replacement.
