  • I had to reinstall Windows XP again and now him "you have become a victim of software piracy" has appeared.

    Hello

I had to reinstall Windows XP again and now him "you have become a victim of software piracy" has appeared. I know for sure my code OEM is legal, because I enabled Windows XP on this machine before several times. So I decided to activate the key using msoobe.exe and via the internet.
Apparently, internet activation is not available (a message code 24579). Of course, I tried the phone activation. Called on the answering machine, type the digits of the ID of the instalation. It don't did me not have any code to write in the fields ABCDEFG. Only that a mistake occurred.  Then I clicked on "Change product key" once asked me to do. Type in the product key. But it was rejected. I answered honestly, machine that I have not any new instalation ID. They said I need to contact the seller, because my key is not genuine... obviously, there is no way that he can help me.
    What should I do now?
    Thank you in advance.
original title: cannot activate the XP by phone

The key used here is a Volume that was never issued by Microsoft - license key was generated by the KeyGen tool a hacker.

If it is key that you tried to activate, so it is no surprise it is rejected.

If however, you have a valid key for Win XP Pro, you can change the it to this one, using the product key update tool, as Carey said. - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/help/genuine/product-key

Is to reinstall windows and reformatting the same windows? How can I reformat windows? TQ.

There are essentially two different methods to "install Windows":

    1. a clean install (which is basically all wipes) imply the shape of the disk (or partition).

    2. a repair install (which is supposed to leave all your programs and data intact) does not imply the formatting.

Whenever you do a clean install of Windows XP, which is what I assume you mean "reformat Windows XP" - you must install the drivers for your hardware.  In General, this would include drivers for at least the motherboard (chipset), the video card (if it is not built into the motherboard), the audio adapter (if not built into the motherboard), NIC (if not built into the motherboard) and external devices.

For XP, don't get the drivers from Windows Update.  Find them in the site of the mfr of the computer (for computers brand) or concerned equipment manufacturers Web site.  OEMs like HP, Dell, Lenovo and similar often have specific to their hardware drivers, so check with the computer manufacturer before going to other sites.

You can reset the Windows Update components by running the Fixit on this page. But if there is malware present, she will continue to reset the connection to the update servers:

How to reset the Windows Update components

Suggest you download and save the Fixit. Then configure the system before the clean boot by running:

Once the Fixit has been downloaded and the system is started in the pure State, check that the native Windows Firewall is now on if a 3rd party firewall has been used previously. Now run the Fixit and choose the default mode. Restart once it's done and see if the system can be connected to the update servers. If he can't, then rerun the Fixit and choose aggressive mode. Turn it back on when he finished the race and updates.

I suggest before you stop and install the updates, disconnect from the Internet, first.

  • How can I download Windows 7 again?

    Original title: Frustrated women

A year ago, my husband bought a Samsung laptop. He now gave me the laptop, it will use for a small business. A company has transferred all my files to my laptop and staff etc upwards. I deleted my husbands as an administrator user account and opened my own as an administrator... Because he is still on the user's profile, I can't do all the backups of QuickBook, I can't delete anything etc. Today I paid an affiliate of Microsoft to remove my user profile on husbands without success. They gave me more access as an administrator. I'm very frustrated because my files and his ex - are all mixed and reproduced several times. I think the best idea is to reinstall Windows 7 Edition home premium again. But when we bought this laptop, no CD Microsoft Windows 7 has been included. The saleswoman told us that the product key is located under the computer. So, I have a product key, now how do I download Windows 7 again. Where should I go from here. Please help me, I've spent enough money on people and businesses for fishing. They call themselves it is and all you get in return is a mess.

The laptop must have been restored by default or clean installed by you the small business in question.  You need to get rid of everything that your husband (and any that he let him use) could have fact/put on and start from scratch.

The Samsung laptop probably has a recovery/restore method (provided by the manufacturer) to do.

    Maybe something like this:
    http://www.Samsung.com/us/support/howtoguide/N0000137/6375/93514

Of course, this assumes that the laptop was not altered by someone in a way that would have broken a process like that.  If it has been changed in a way that breaks this process, you can call Samsung to try to get (possibly at a low cost) recovery/restore media to use to restore the system to its default state factory before continuing (for best results in your step with the old laptop again.)

  • If I have to reformat Windows 7 I will be able to use the download Windows Anytime?

If for any reason any I have to reformat my computer I will be able to download and use only my previously purchased at any time download for free as long as I know the keycode?

    Yes.

    Here is an example:

The first thing you need to do is to get your key to Windows 7 Professional upgrade Express:

An e-mail containing your product key will be sent to the e-mail address associated with your Windows Live ID account or e-mail address you provided if you ignored the account configuration. Note: If you use an email tool or spam blocker spam filter, be sure that you can receive e-mail messages from microsoft.com.

What happens if I lose my product key?

If you lose your product key, you can return to

www.Windows7.com/GetKey and sign in using the "Sign In" link in the upper right of the page. This will allow to recover your product key if you have established your account with your Windows Live ID. If you do not configure a Windows Live ID account initially there is no record of your online product key. Check your e-mail since it is the only trace of your product key.

    or

Here are four utilities, which can display your product keys if they are still there:

The next thing you need to do is to reinstall the base license that you upgraded, Windows 7 Starter Edition or Home Premium.

If your computer is pre-installed with Windows 7:

New computers coming often pre-installed with Windows 7 have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.

-Samsung uses ESC on most of its systems

-HP use F9 on most of its systems

-Fujitsu uses F12 on most of its systems

-Acer use F12 on most of its systems, but often you need to go into BIOS to allow

    -Dell uses F12

In general, look at the screen during the POST for a tip for what is possible.

If your recovery partition is not available or damaged, you must contact the manufacturer of your computer, and request that a defined recovery disk you can use to reinstall Windows 7. They could practice a small shipping and handling.

  • Mode problem, freezes or crashes sleep when windows opens again

    Hello

The problem I have with the pavilion DV4-2145DX , approximately 12 months, using windows 7 is when I close the lid or put in "standby mode", now and then the window opens but the internet does not, nor all the other icons.

When I go to restart it, the closure does not work so I stop hard.

When it restarts all works well again.

When I shut down normally and re start the computer no problem at that time.

    Any ideas please.
