  I have four areas of input text that I want a user to enter numbers. I have their instance names on the text box itself, but nothing stated in his.   You can use an if statement to assign 0 to empty textfields and you can use the restrict property of textfields to restrict entry to the numbers

  I use MX 2004 and construction of a simple game where the contribution of users numbers in a dynamic text box. To limit the number of mouse clicks, I'm wanting to set the focus to the input box when that screen/page loads. Right now, we have to click on the area of input text field, enter their choices, then click on the submit button. I just want to type first, then click on the submit button.

  I thought I remember a 'setFocus' or a 'onFocus' in ActionScript once before, but I can't find an example.

  Thanks Rothrock. It worked. The 'Sélection' class allows you to define and control the text box where the insertion point.

  My text entry box is called, "years1.

  In the layer actions, the first line, I put - Selection.setFocus ("years1");

  Works perfectly. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction

• Issue registration code iFrame in an input text area

  Hello

  We have a WebApp change form with a text box input field in which the iFrame to YouTube or Vimeo code should be pasted. However, during the recording of the iFrame code is not saved. Any other text records as needed.

  When we save the iFrame code in this same field through the administration portal it records OK.  The question, therefore, just with the modification form.

  Anyone know what could be the problem?

  You need to escape the code (you can use a free tool like this: free tool online HTML Escape - FreeFormatter.com) or maybe there's a javascript solution to do on the fly in your form.

  The escape code will be then save under the correct code. However, for this reason, if you then submit the form again it will erase the new iframe code - you need to keep it away every time.

  I know it must be something simple, but it's still my butt.  I put a text on a layer entry box and everything seems fine.  I play the movie, and any text box?  If I put a top filter, it will be displayed, but otherwise, it seems that there is nothing there.  Not even the border is visible.  All static text is good, just without input box.

  Dynamic textfields get cranky for any type of animation or if a mask is applied to them.  You could try the incorporation of police and see if that makes a difference (I don't know why it would be... it is usually the text that has the problem, but then again, it's usually just dynamic text fields that raise this problem (no dynamic input textfields).)

  I use Jdev 12.1.2.

  I have a table with the number of lines.  Each line has a FutureCode attribute and other attribute FutureComments.  I want to make sure FutureComments is disabled unless the FutureCode of this line is is 'OTHER '.

  I tried to go to the text of the FutureComments component in the table and setting the property to the expression for disabled:

  #{row.bindings.FutureCode.inputValue == 'OTHER'? false: true}

  But it does not work.  I messed around with the parameters in the table (distribution of content, immediate change), but I did not get a configuration so that it can work.

  A little more information, the text input component are always disabled.  I also tried using the expression evaluator in the debugger to check the value of my #{row.bindings.FutureCode.inputValue}, but it is null, no doubt because he does not know what line I'm talking about.

  I use writing in OBIEE 10. I know, we can define the size of the input area in ways that no one will be able to add more text than allowed. But even if I am to welcome 2000 characters the text box is displayed as a single line entry box.

  You will need somehow to hack the CSS (Cascading Style Sheet) OBI when writeback (see table) is present instead of a HTML text box item, display a TEXTAREA HTML element. Currently, there is no other way to achieve this.
