I assume you are talking about EditRegion3 (the region can only be changed in the body of your page)?  You the style of the CONTAINER for this editable region so that as it develops with the content, its background color is also expanding to fill the bottom of the container.  This would mean that you would need to write a rule for div.content who would do this.  But your question is still a bit vague, so I don't know that's the answer you are looking for.

  • Make editable no editable regions without the original model

    Hi all

    I am designing a new Web site. I created a Web page and it is a model with editable regions so that future pages would be easy to make (the parent Page). However I completely replaced the model with which was suppost to be a new model and record not relising it is the main model for my site. So to sum up, he went and is irretrievably. I have child pages of the template, but these have no editable regions and I want to make editable again so I can save it to the file of the original model so it becomes the model.

    How to make a child page's parent page or remove the editable regions without having to redraw the entire page again?

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Thank you

    I guess that there are several ways to achieve this. So here is my work flow.

    I load the child page in DW and then click on change--> models--> detach the model and I have an editable document.

  • Regions editable in Email campaigns - Business Catalyst

    Hello world

    I have the following code in an email newsletter model:

    < td width = "100%" style = "do-size: 18px;" color: #353535; text-align: center; make-weight: normal; do-family: Helvetica, Arial, without serif. line-height: 24 PX. "ice: editable ="line"> < a href =" # "target ="_blank"style =" text-decoration: none; " color: #353535; "> Our work is < span style =" "color: #0081b 7;" > </span > for the prosperity of our customers < /a > < table > "

    I placed the ice: editable = "line" within the td element. It works well, but I also need the link to the text in the td to be modified also so I tried the following:

    < td width = "100%" style = "do-size: 18px;" color: #353535; text-align: center; make-weight: normal; do-family: Helvetica, Arial, without serif. line-height: 24 PX. "ice: editable ="line"> < a href =" # "target ="_blank"style =" text-decoration: none; " color: #353535; "ice: editable ="link"> our work is < span style =" "color: #0081b 7;" > </span > for the prosperity of our customers < /a > < table > "

    I added ice: editable = 'link' within the a href, but when I tested it, it has editable line code to not work and neither did the job of the editable link part.

    I thought maybe it was because I was nesting an editable in another. Could this be why it does not work? If so, is there a solution for this?

    Appreciate any help.

    I don't think that you can nest editable regions.  I know that you can't nest them in regular Dreamweaver templates.

    BC probably works the same way.

  • Shared items editable in a model?

    I want to use DW models to maintain the appearance of the site, but I tend to use templates merely for the control of the basic framework of the web pages and then keep all common items inside include files (I find it easier to update a file, then try to change through all the pages based on a template cascading). Is there a way to create a resource shared like this, for example sub navigation but it is also editable through Contribute?

    For example, I have a web site that has 5 General content areas. Each of these areas is divided into several sub-themes, each with its own page. I want to include a list of links to the subsections on each page. I also want this list to be editable so that my content author can add new pages and include them in the list of the subtopics for all content area is appropriate. Because the list will appear on all of the related sub-topics, I would like that it exists as a shared resource so that a time change it will update all related pages.

    Is there a way to do this, use native controls model or an asset of DW? I thought to use a library item, but it was not like those who are editable from Contribute. As a last resort I can just give the user a link to an editable include file, but I'd also use controls model within the shared resource, such as repeated regions.

    I ask too much?

    Murray: Your hypothesis was right - you can't use the model commands in an XML file (something the team should consider for the next version!)

    I divided the issue of path of the model in its own thread, so I guess that the original question can be considered to be answered, for better or worse. Thanks for your comments.

  • Regions editable in CS3

    Hello world

    I recently upgraded from DW8 to CS3. Editable regions (ER) appear more wide they are. It seems that the origin of the ER tag width adds to everything I have replace the text with.

    If I open the site in DW8 it seems ok, but if I open it in CS3 it seems bad. If I saw the site in CS3, the browser displays it correctly. I placed a JPG file on my FTP site showing how CS3 is the display. Here is the link: ftp.josebatalla.com/image

    The page is parked at http://www.josebatalla.com/backer/html/about_us.html

    Thank you in advance for your help!

    Jose

    1. start a blank page and save it as a template. Insert a wide table of 600px with three columns (200px width each). Insert an editable region in the Central column and call it "main photo".

    2. generate a model page. Insert image 200px wide in the editable area. The table will increase by approximately 80 pixels, which is equal to the width of the words "main photo". There is no way to remove this space. If you look at the code there is nothing there. However, Dreamweaver now displays a table that is 680 pixels wide (when to 600px).

    Reproduce the steps above DW8 and you won't get the extra space.

    P.S. I have found a workaround. Change the alignment of the default image to something else. The space will collapse and the width of the column goes back to its intended size.

    The default files are here-

    Find the folder-

    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CS3\configuration\DocumentTypes

    and copy it to this folder-

    C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Macromedia\Dreamweaver
    9\Configuration

    (these files are normally hidden - you may have to use Explorer > tools >)
    To view the Folder Options)

    You can edit the files in the DocumentTypes folder in the second
    path to contain any markup you want.

  • Regions editable in Dreamweaver?

    Hello, I have a bit of a dilemma in Dreamweaver now and I was wondering if anyone might know a potential solution. I'll try to be as clear and understandable as possible.

    When I build a Web page layout in Photoshop for import into Dreamweaver, once I use the tool to prepare my page for output, my page is transformed into images. I have no problem with that, except when I need to place some editable elements (such as text, for example), on them inside of Dreamweaver, which is where it becomes a problem.

    My question is, how would one time on the creation of these "circles" (that is what they are called?) in a way that allows the content to be placed here, without treating them as an image Dreamweaver and so gave rise to the disability to place content there?

    I hope someone is able to understand this and will be able to help me... Thanks in advance! =)

  • Editable with table/model problem

    Hello
    I'm having a strange problem with my page, and being new dreamweaver I don't know what is happening.
    I created a template for my Web site and the template seems to work ok, but in my editable region, I get a huge space in my table. I can't find the source of this gap, I went through the code but nothing is jumping on me as bad. It was built in Dreamweaver CS3 V9.0 Build 3481.

  • Report region editable attributes

    I have a report region populated by a SQL query, returns a single record.

    I've edited two of the attributes and the selected item of tabular form > text field.

    I want now to refer to these two fields in a process the PL/SQL block, when I look at the HTML source code of the page I see name = "f01" name = "f02" for these items. This can be changed? I tried to change the attributes of the element name = "MyField", but I find myself with two attributes for the name of the entry.

    What is the best way to handle something like this and reference fields in a way that is "safe"?

    Hello

    You should really look into the APEX_ITEM-api.
    Check http://download-uk.oracle.com/docs/cd/B31036_01/doc/appdev.22/b28550/api.htm#BGBHDGAI

    However, I will give you a little trick to manage those f01, f02 etc.

    Apex stores it automatically in a table for you, so if you make them to text fields, you can access it through
    APEX_APPLICATION. G_F01 name = f01, G_F02 being the name = f02 - and it is possible to have from 1 to 50.

    If your query always returns just one line, then you can access it through

    Start
    insert into values insert_table (APEX_APPLICATION. G_F01 (1), APEX_APPLICATION. G_F02 (1));
    end;

    Or if you have several lines;

    Start
    BECAUSE me IN 1.APEX_APPLICATION. G_F01. COUNTY
    LOOP
    insert into values insert_table (APEX_APPLICATION. G_F01 (i));
    END LOOP;
    end;

    However to use with updates, you also likely a hidden item aswell for reference by a sort of «update (...)» "where unique_id = apex_application.g_fXX (i).

    I recommend that you spend 10 minutes reading of a few examples in the link above - I'm sure it'll be useful.

    See you soon,.

  • Fireworks master page adapts to the he's happy and apply to only a few selected pages?

    Hi all!

    I use the PNG Fireworks format to save all the pages of the websites that I build. However, when I apply a master page in a Fireworks project, all subsequent pages have this applied master page. Sometimes it is necessary to have a page without the master page applied to it, but I can't seem to find how to do this.

    Another difficulty, I fell on that is not be able to make the master page to adjust to its content, just like regions editable in Dreamweaver model, for those who know what it is. Is it possible to do in Fireworks?

    Greetings,

    Casal André

    André,

    Regarding your first question, we could think that the drop down menu panel Pages might have a command that you would release a selected page of the master, but apparently not. However, if you select the page and go to the layers panel, you can display the Master Page layer in the bottom of the stack. You can set the visibility of the layer or its components, or go to the menu drop-down in the layers panel and choose Delete Master Page layer.

    Regarding the second question, I don't think that it is possible for a page master to "adapt to its content. Per, I'm guessing that you mean to respond fluidly to the other elements on the page, whether they are long or short, etc. It is a property of the web pages, where everything is "outstanding". But Fireworks uses a different system.

    I'm still new to the feature Pages myself, but have you tried the options "Share layer" menu drop-down in the layers panel? These could offer some of the benefits of the feature of the master page, but with more flexibility. The symbols are also something to consider when you want to repeat the elements in a document.
