• Are there any fees for the Service Push?

I'm working on a LOOT for a client who wants to add services to their BlackBerry app. They can grow up to 1 000 000 notifications on some days and I see the reference to a tax on your website once the volume exceeds a certain threshold. Can you provide some details about the structure of taxes?

There is no charge for BlackBerry services push. There were formerly two options, Essentials of push BlackBerry and BlackBerry push more. The plus version had a cost associated with it, but this service is no longer offered.

• Architecture of client for Notifications of type server push in Blackberry OS < = 7

Hi all

Please guide me to solve the problem which would be the Architecture if I go with my current server settings for Android it gets the token device for each device and record in DB and against this device he unique token identifies the device and send the THRUST of this device through CMG.
So now, I want to keep it as for Blackberry:
to do this, I did research but could not finalise the side Structure of the customer and the final server that the customer must register with the initiator push then routing throug PPG and then go without using the software Push Blackberry SDK?
Kindly give me the idea that how Client-side communicates with server-side?
is that our client-side application communicates with our local server and local server communicates with the Server Push Blackberry then what are the steps to follow?

Thank you

Yep, you will need to write an application server (your Push initiator) that will send the shoot to the BlackBerry push Service PPG (it will be the public/BIS PPG if you send a push the public and not the users business/work). If you're comfortable with Java, we offer a Push Service SDK that makes it easy to write a push initiator.

A push-enabled application on your BlackBerry must register with your application on the PPG ID so that he knows he has allowed to receive the shoot. You mentioned that you develop for BlackBerry OS<= 7="" so="" i'm="" guessing="" you="" will="" be="" writing="" your="" push-enabled="" application="" using="">

We have an example of Java application and the developer's Guide that could be of assistance in the drafting of the present: https://developer.blackberry.com/devzone/develop/platform_services/push_apps.html

Of your Push initiator, you want to send a big boost to your application that runs on a specific device of BlackBerry using your password, push application ID and the pin of the device (there are other required fields by PAP XML, but those are the essentials - well, and the content you want to push so ).

• Server Push for Blackberry in c#

Hello

I am creating the push server for sending notifications of type push on the BlackBerry with BIS in c#. I registered for eval and received an email with all the related information.

Also, I got a few samples for the PAP xml generated for sending notification to the device.

But when I send this request, I have "unauthorized" in response.

The request looks like:

-PMasdfglkjhqwert123 Content-Type: application/xml; UTF-8
http://www.openmobilealliance.org/tech/DTD/pap_2.1.DTD">

deliver-before-timestamp = "" 2013-01 - 14 T 17: 27:56Z ">"

-PMasdfglkjhqwert123
Content-Encoding: UTF - 8
Content-Type: text/plain
Push-Message - ID:1358164672884

Hello, KK...
-PMasdfglkjhqwert123-

Is the url that I send you this application is correct? The url is: https://cpxxxx.pushapi.eval.blackberry.com/mss/PD_pushRequest (xxxx here: content provider ID)

Also, please tell me the steps to Push for BB server application.

Tomcat is necessary in the case of c# (.NET)?

I know, it is first the camera records the hoop. (we are able to register)

Then, details are passed to push the content provider registration server. (How?)

Then the request is made to send a notification on the device (if necessary). (had the format of the query, but don't understant why am I getting "unauthorized").

Please answer.

Its urgency and I do not get examples or links.

Thanks in advance.

• No response for Blackberry BIS presentation

Hello

I have submitted to an assessment for the BlackBerry BIS push ID but received no response. I tried twice and received no response in both cases. Its been almost 2 weeks since my first attempt, a week since my second attempt. I have not yet received an email confirmation that my application has been received. I have double-checkd that messages are not in my junk e-mail folder.

Who should I contact to fix this? The page asks to push ID does not provide contact information.

FOR INFO. I got a response after about 2 weeks. I also had to wait 2 weeks for my production license. So day 2 working felt on their page is bad. Expect to wait 2-3 weeks.

• Push BlackBerry: Application accessories server-side

Hi all

I want to know the application requirements on the server side.

1. I have a few Notifications in my application.
2. My application to retrieve some webservices data after a specific interval or manual traction (update).
3. These data are in the form of JSON, I have to analyze and then use it to display the notification to my application.
4. Now, if I change the 'Blackberry Push Notifications' draw, what changes should I make to the coast server.
5. If I'm right, I'll have to make an application Java server-side. Besides, this application will contact My Web services to extract the required data. After obtaining the data, this application will push data (along the device PIN who need push Notification to be sent) PPG by configuring Push service SDK.

"Please erase me if I'm wrong.."

Uptill I did :

1. I'm registered for Push Notification by completing the evaluation form to push Blackberry. And waiting for response from the RIM.
2. Downloaded the SDK of Service Push v1.1.0 and installed successfully.

as I have already said, push a short message and allow the client to remove the data.
Push is to inform, not necessarily to put all the data on the device.

• Sign up for the service push BlackBerry 10

Hello

I'm trying to implement the blackberry for BB10 push notification.

I have camera z10. My device doesn't have a sim card. I use internet through Wi - Fi.

When I call the function below is to show some mistakes. 'blackberry.push.openBISPushListener '.

Please let me know, for recording in the push notification service, if the Sim Card and BIS are necessary or not.

Please help me.

The API you noted (openBISPushListener) is a Legacy BBOS API for BBOS 5.0 - 7.1

For BlackBerry 10, you will need to take advantage PushService.create approach:
https://developer.BlackBerry.com/HTML5/APIs/beta/BlackBerry.push.pushservice.html

Direct API documentation:
https://developer.BlackBerry.com/HTML5/APIs/beta/blackberry_push_PushService_create.html

EDIT: Push via WiFi is completely valid.

• Product register of blackBerry Smartphones

Hello. We just bought a Blackberry Curve and have AT & T as our provider. We are registered and using the phone on the network. But we can't find a way to register the BlackBerry device for warranty and support. Is there a way to do this? Thank you.

You don't save it with BlackBerry for warranty and support, which is provided by the seller or the mobile service provider.

In your case, if you have bought from ATT, they will provide warranty support and technical support, you call the technical support phone number. For problems they can't solve, they will increase to support technical level RIM.

If you bought by a third party like eBay or something, you'll have no collateral supports, however, ATT will always serve your technical support for software and other.

• BlackBerry Smartphones Push Email advice for Newbie BB & Orange News item

I'm about to buy a Blackberry "BOLD" running on Orange UK (my first BB) I will be en route to Australia for a month, little time and I wonder if the push email constantly running is likely to run on the high costs of data. Can not get good advice from the supplier on the subject but wonder if it is possible to temporarily disconnect the pressure and only turn to the occasionally.

Also just read the expeditions suspension tie Orange about BB makes bold because of software problems. Should I be concerned? I'm going through Carphone Warehouse.

http://blog.wired.com/gadgets/2008/10/BlackBerry-bold.html

Thanks a lot for any advice.

The way it works is that you create an BIS on Oranges BIS page account on your PC browser, which is tied up your BB PIN code and this is where you can add (integrate) emial accounts. Now you can log into your BIS account and enable or disable the redirection of your BIS account and you can even turn off the data service on your device.

• Pushing without BIS/BES

Hi all

I am a prospective developer Blackberry works on my first BB app.

The application will receive the data of a service push third push as Xtify or urban airship. If possible, I would like to make it work on Webworks. I am little confused as to how all this works and my research has not really clarified anything, so I have a few questions:

(1) what are the Blackberry services I send the push? For example, when registering for the app, urban airship and Xtify apparently must push it Essentials package. Do I need anything else? Push services deal with RIM?

(2) is a specific Blackberry data plan (I guess they are BIS and BES) will perform the push works on 3 G? Besides, is 3G on Blackberry through BIS, or is it independent of it?

(3) Will accept a Webworks app even pushes a third? Xtify nor urban airship say anything about working with Phonegap or Webworks. Two examples for urban airship and Xtify are for Blackberry Java and seem to require registration with the urban airship or Xtify application. The Webworks API has a method OpenPushListener(); is this all I need to start receiving leads them to my application?

Comments are welcome - thanks for your help!

Hello

Let's start by discussing a little further: at its core is to push a XML load sent to the infrastructure of the RIM which is then sent down to the target BlackBerry smartphone. The transport of the unit is completely managed by the infrastructure of the RIM, so all you need to do is send the push.

No matter what language/service that can display XML data can send pulses

In order to receive the push, the device must have a BIS data connection

WebWorks applications can receive extensive data, the API documentation has information about how this can be done.

I hope things clears a bit, but if not just let me know.

See you soon,.

• Email for blackBerry Smartphones application is greyed out on BlackBerry desktop software.

I have the Blackberry desktop software version 4.5 installed on my computer. I can't access the E-mail application because it is grayed out. When I try to access it I get an error message "this computer does not have his account address message. The messaging system is not configured properly or this e-mail system is not supported. "I use outlook for my email. I have a BlackBerry Curve 8330. It is updated with version 4.5. The software recognizes the phone. All other programs are available.

It's on a computer at home? It seems that you have installed the desktop using the BES software / redirector option. Redirector is designed to work with a server exchange; If you are using your home PC with a POP/IMAP e-mail address, the best solution would be to reinstall the Desktop Manager using BIS (located in the Setup Wizard), and then use the Blackberry Internet Service to configure your POP/IMAP e-mail. With this configuration, you will over see the e-mail settings icon because it will no longer apply. When you use the redirector on a computer that is not on an exchange server, you can receive messages on your device that say "this message is used to carry data between the blackberry and the server... ", which can be quite annoying.
