Registering a conditional formatting formula in a variable

I have a conditional formatting formula that exceeds the limit of 393 characters for Word fields. I placed the formula directly in the model table, and it works correctly. But now, of course, there are several hundred characters of formatting of the information in this cell, as well as the data field. Not pretty.

Is there a way to store this long formula in a variable and then refer to this variable as the conditional formatting? I'm stuck on the right arrow (>) tags. I can't understand how to include those in the string and store it in the variable.

Here's a simplified example of what I'm trying to do:

<? xdoxslt:set_variable ("$_XDOCTX, 'myvar'," <? if: number (Sales) gt 1000000? > <? attribute@incontext:color;e red '? ') > <? end if? (">")? >

The inclusion of the right arrow (>) tags chain fail when trying to preview. If I replace all the tags right arrow with something else, like the number 8...

<? xdoxslt:set_variable ("$_XDOCTX, 'myvar'," <? if: number (Sales) gt 1000000? 8 <? attribute@incontext:color;e red '? ') 8 <? end if? 8") ? >

... the string is stored in the variable, and I can see in the model table using <? xdoxslt:get_variable($_XDOCTX,'myvar')? >. It is useless, of course, but it works correctly. The string is stored in the variable, and the variable content is displayed in the model.

So, how can I integrate the right arrow key tags in this string of text? Use an escape character? Integrate ASCII code? I would like to either of the people in the blink of an eye if I could find the proper syntax.

Yes, you can use submodels of the to do.

I guess, most of the formatting will repeat, in order to better make the model more organized.

  • How to reset a variable count in a trigger of conditional formatting

    I use a trigger of conditional formatting to remove the sections of a report where there is no data. The trigger is automatically generated by reports (see below). the condition is: com_count = '0' therefore no record, no display of the section - if: com_count > 0 then given present and display the record.

    It works very well eliminate sections - until the actual data is found - count is set to 1, and it displays the record. The problem is that once: com_count > 0, then the section displays the rest of the report that there is actually data or not.

    It seems that: com_count must be reset to 0, but when I try to do, it generates an error indicating that: com_count is a read-only variable.

    I'm new to the PL/SQL if can anyone suggest how I can reset the: com_count to 0 whenever the lights of relaxation with: com_count = 1?

    Is the trigger for the conditional formatting:

    function boolean return M_G_COM_RANK_GRPFRFormatTrigge is
    Start

    -Automatically generated from report designer.
    If (: COM_COUNT = '0')
    then
    Return (FALSE) End Function
    end if;

    return (TRUE);
    end;

    The County

    It works perfectly

    where is your COM_COUNT defined?

    If must be defined in the 'mastergroup"of the"detailgroup"which you want to count the records in the datamodel.
    In this case, there is a property of the item "Reset to" (which is by default the option 'Report') and then you can edit it on behalf of the mastergroup. So whenever a new record is 'active' in the mstergroup, the point count will be reset to 0.

  • Conditional formatting depends on the date ranges

    Basically, I want to be able to enter a date in column A and a sum of money in the B column, depending on where the date in column A grave in a date range, I want the money in column B to copy to a corresponding column. Is this possible? The only questions I found on here deal in a conditional formatting with dates have to do with derivative.

    Thank you

    Julio

    I hope this help to clarify for you...

    It is not bringing conditional formatting.  Formatting conditional would change the format of a cell (or cells)... as the font, color, size, color cell background, or other formatting character is tics of a cell based on the contents of the cell

    You ask about including of the value of a cel another beach under certain conditions

    Here is an example:

    The first three rows are header lines.

    You must enter a valid date for the towing job.  Using the format "mm/dd/yyyy".

    C4 = IF (AND (DATEVALUE (A4) ≥DATEVALUE($B$1), DATEVALUE (A4) ≤DATEVALUE($B$2)), B4, "")

    It's shorthand dethrone select cell C4, and type (or copy and paste it here) the formula:

    = IF (AND (DATEVALUE (A4) ≥DATEVALUE($B$1), DATEVALUE (A4) ≤DATEVALUE($B$2)), B4, "")

    Select the cell C4, copy

    Select cells C4 at the end of the C column, paste

  • Numbers: Conditional formatting

    I am familiar with Excel, as with numbers. I try to use the conditional formatting in numbers, and it seems that less well implemented? Maybe someone can explain to me how this could work? To the point, I can't get a cell that shows the result of a formula to work in conditional formatting. Can't select areas of cells and to combine the formatting as it is on a single cell value compared and not a relative comparison to a cell in the same way, if I dragged a formula from cell to cell (it would fill the formula compared to all the cells in the new area drag out).

    I am trying to compare two columns. If the results in cell A2 are the same as in cell B2 and then, there is no additional formatting. If on the other hand, cells A2 and B2 are not equal, then the formatting should make the text in cell B2 red. Once I get this done properly then I also want to apply to the rest of the cells in the two columns.

    It does not work. The problem seems to be this column B is the result of a calculation and therefore cannot be read in the formula of conditional highlight? This is meaningless at all that it was designed that way. As I looked at length before this announcement, some talk of adding a third cell, but as the value that I need is to be calculated, I don't see how this is supposed to work - even in a workaround?

    It is a project where I get a handle on an open account that got away from me. I compare the monthly interest charges of banks in column A with the result of my formula in column B, which allows to calculate what should be the interest, according to the formula provided clean banks. These two cells must match exactly, and when it is off, I want to note. That's why once that I operate in two cells, I want to apply to the results in two columns. But even once, it seems no way to do this?

    It works here:

    To get this A2 "lozenge" click the box-and-arrow-symbol and then click cell A1.

  • Conditional formatting based on the other content of the cell

    Hello

    I watched tutorials and read other messages of conditional formatting. What I'm trying to do doesn't seem like it should be too difficult, but I can't it to work.

    I created a spreadsheet of travel and I would that my cells spend every day to highlight when I went on the budget (budget in another table on another sheet)

    My conditional formatting looks like this

    Who works for the first cell that I put it to the top for the table. If I try to drag the rules to the bottom of the table, or highlight the entire table and and my rule number 1 shows what

    and of course, it will not highlight.

    This is an excerpt from the table, on that I try to apply highlighting

    And that is the picture that source information.

    I use a macbook pro under OS X El Capitan 10.11.1 and numbers 3.6.1 (2566)

    Thanks in advance for any help!

    Hello

    It's looks you're new to spreadsheets... you must add a dollar sign in front of "The rest of the budget per day" (your 1st image), or check the 2 boxes like this:

  • How does conditional formatting with dates in a beach (not only with a beginning and an end date)?

    In Figure 3.6.1 conditional formatting.

    I want to highlight a cell with a date, say January 8, 2016, if the date is included in a list of dates, say the following:

    Date to be highlighted in the case of:

    25.3.2013 1.8.2016 8.1.2016

    List of dates to look in:

    Header 1 Header 2 Header 3

    1.1.2016

    28.10.2015

    3.4.2012

    2.2.2016 8.1.2016 31.12.2016

    When we look at the conditional formatting rules, I found a rule of that date is in the range. So, I selected the start and the final cell in my region in the table 'List dates' and confirmed the rule. But nothing has changed - what can I do?

    Hi ohi3000,

    While conditional highlighting saw is somewhat improved, it's going to be work to do what you want. You will need to compare your cell to every cell in your range:

    For example, a rule for each cell. You could probably deal with formulas and additional cells, but which may require an extra cell for each date that you want to match.

  • Conditional formatting in Union of 2 reports

    Hi all

    Can we do a conditional formatting in union of 2 or 3 reports?

    Help, please.

    who will give the error, but you go a head and do your stuff format...

    This error is because you have a bet in conditional form on the resulting column of query union which will not be found in the area... that is, saw_0, saw_1.etc

    you ignore the error and make the conditional formatting...

  • Help with conditional formatting

    Hi gurus,

    Short history of the report, we have all items in inventory, divided into 3 classes 'Max', 'Medium' and 'Low' and also calculated measure called "Exact percent" there. Now, we want to use conditional formatting on the particular point either RED or GREEN, and following is conditions to set the color

    Top-> green = 100 percent; Red = X < 100%
    Average-> green = X > = 98%; Red = X < 98%
    Bottom-> green = X > = 97%; Red = X < 97%

    In the condition above the perecent means specific percent.

    How to achieve this kind of condition.

    Thanks in advance.

    Chesneau

    Hi create a new column of percentage in repository so the coding responses will be simplified.

    % = 100,00 * ((Cycle_Count_Entries.COUNT_QUANTITY_CURRENT-Cycle_Count_Entries.SYSTEM_QUANTITY_CURRENT) / Cycle_Count_Entries.SYSTEM_QUANTITY_CURRENT)
    ... and no matter what your definition

    Then use a column in answers with the following formula:

    Case

    When table.class = 'High' then
    -Case when table.percent = 100 then ends up 'Green' else 'red '.

    When table.class = "Average" then
    When case table.percent > = 98 then ends up 'Green' else 'red '.

    When table.class = "Low" then
    When case table.percent > = 97 then ends up 'Green' else 'red '.

    end

    * If you do not have access to the repository, replace table.percent in above formula by the percentage formula that you have.

    Then your conditional formatting will be simplified because you need only refer to the column above.

  • In Excel 2007, copy the conditional formatting cells is very slow

    I've just upgraded to Excel 2007 (SP 2) since 2000 in the hope that it would be faster.  I have a large spreadsheet consisting of a database of about 5000 lines and a number of leaves each grids showing cells of 7 x 7 with conditional formatting in each cell.
    In 2000, I had to stop automatic recalculation.  In 2007, the recalculation is much faster, but when I created a piece of copy and past cells 7 x 7 with their conditional formatting, it is very slow and eventually is short-term memory.
    I am running XP service pack 3 on processor 1.6 ghz with 1.9 GB of ram.
    Any suggestions?

  • "Conditional formatting" in Photoshop?

    I want to be able to highlight an area of the image and then have Photoshop color the area based on a numeric value. Ideally, Photoshop choose a color in a given spectrum based on where the number is within a range that I provided. Moreover, an approach to color by numbers, where I give the color and the number would be sufficient. This is very similar to the functionality of Excel conditional formatting. Is this possible at all?

  • Conditional formatting in obiee 11.1.1.7

    Hi all

    I use obiee 11.1.1.7 and I have a duty of conditional formatting. I have 2 columns A, B in my report, I want to apply conditional formatting on A collar based on values of col B. Col value is less than the value of B Col I should show red color. I created the report from 2 disciplines.

    Thank you

    Chandra

    You can set the condition to be between column A and B in the XML for analysis, or (b) by adding a new column to your criteria to produce a flag to use for your condition (like 'Column A - column B' and a condition on "(A-B) < 0"=""> red").

  • Calendar - conditional formatting values

    Hi all

    I would like to ask, if it is possible to apply conditional formatting in a calendar.

    I need to visually differentiate the values/events in my calendar application. So, for example holiday events would be "BOLD" and any other event would be normal text.

    Please let me know if this is possible.

    Thank you and best regards,

    Vladimir

    Vladimir Bartos says:

    Hi, AEC,.

    Thanks a lot for that above, it is very useful. However, I would like to ask one thing. I have the same formatting also on the display of the list?

    I see any "BOLD" and the event type is tiny, so I think that CSS class does not work there.

    Yes, just extend the styles to cover the list view and replace the text bold by default from the view of the list:

    .Calendar td a div.vac,
    .ListCalendar td a div.vac {
      font-weight: bold;
    }
      .Calendar td a div span,
      .ListCalendar td a div span {
        text-transform: uppercase;
      }

    .ListCalendarHolder .PastDay,
    .ListCalendarHolder .ToDay,
    .ListCalendarHolder .FutureDay {
      font-weight: normal !important;
    }

  • problem with the help of the conditional formatting on a cell that is defined as the percentage

    Hi all

    I am facing a problem with the help of the conditional formatting on a cell that is defined as the percentage.

    I am using beaches for example:

    is equal to or greater than 10% - green color

    5%-10%-yellow

    less than or equal to 5%-color red

    the problem is that keeps the value 10% get yellow color when it should get green.

    i thought that is a rounding issue but when I change the definitions of the cell to learn more decimal places I see this part of the percentage 9.65% and some of them are 10.00% and they are both colored in yellow.

    I also tried to change the way range of 6 to 9%, but values between 9.65% or 5.5% are not colored.

    I really enjoy your help!

    You know the reason and the solution.

    change the format of the column and go or add a column more with decimal and opt for conditional and hide report.

    Thank you
