Reinstallation of Photoshop 6 fails

My computer crashed and I went to re-intall Photoshop 6.0.1.  In the start screen, I choose install Photoshop and nothing happens.  I get a message that Z:xxx is not available.

I am running XP with service pack 3.

Then I copied all installation files in a directory on the hard drive.  The same problem.

Any ideas?

In preparation for the FBI announced denial of service (Monday) using System Mechanic I disabled some services I thought were vulnerable.  But first I saved everything to another drive (network).

The system will not re-start.  If the backup is an internal hard drive, I would have photographed to the boot drive.

However, it was a network drive, so I reformatted the old drive and proceeded to reload the OS and everything.  There was therefore no drive Z: a mystery.

However, I copied the contents of the directories backup program folder Photoshop and made a shortcut manually and now it all works.

I have a new version of CS on my new machine heavy-duty 4 cpu, but this older machine is my horse battle and everything (was) configured so.

Anyway, fixed a problem and I guess I cleaned stuff because if I didn't ' know what that this either on the backup drive I didn't charge it.

'Back in the day' when the OS was small as were the apps that I used to have an external hard drive and do a fresh charge every day on the system drive and then disconnect the master drive.  He assured that virus / malware that got on board during a session have been cleaned overnight.  Unfortunately the OS and programs are so great that it would take hours (or more than a day) to make a full load.

Thanks for getting back so fast.

Hi, since update Photoshop CC in December, he started working very very bad... when switching between different tools, it becomes unresponsive for a few seconds (3-5 seconds)... This error comes usually when you move the adobe folder to another location on the root drive and try to update the application. Uninstall the application and delete all files from adobe. Restart your machine and install the application again and check for updates. It should work.

  • iTunes Sync picture with PhotoShop elements fails after update PES

After the upgrade from Photoshop Elements version 9 to version 13, the iTunes 'Sync Photos from Photoshop Elements' feature no longer works.

iTunes continues to show the albums since version 9, and synchronize one of the photo albums causes iTunes to fail in a loop without error message. Photo synchronization from the other folders works very well.  I reinstalled temporarily Elements 9 and iTunes photo sync has started working, but using photo catalogue old version 9.

Is there a fix that will get iTunes to sync with 13 elements photo albums? Are there files or registry entries that need to be re-sharp photo catalogue 13 elements?

    Any help appreciated

    Thank you... Tom

I encounter the same problem after the PSE13, but have not yet found a solution.

And more of your workaroudn there is another idea that does not require copying the pse database whenever you want to synchronize) described here: 13 items: can not sync photo albums in iTunes after the upgrade of 11 items

  • CC of Photoshop (2014) fails to start (0xc000007b)

I just installed Photoshop CC (2014) - everything seemed ok. However when I try to launch PS I get the following message "the application failed to start properly (Oxc 000007 b) click OK to close the application.

ACR also displays the same message when I try to open an image in Psalm

Any help would be much appreciated - summer on hold now for 30 minutes with the Technical Support of Adobe UK.

OK, FINALLY got it working, here's how to solve...

    (1) uninstall C++ 2012 redistributable files, the (x 86) and (x 64).

    (2) Goto C:\windows\system32 and make sure that these files have disappeared (otherwise, delete them): msvcp110.dll & msvcr110.dll

    (3) re - install the 2012 in C++ Redistributable (x 86) and (x 64). http://www.Microsoft.com/en-US/Download/details.aspx?ID=30679

    (4) ensure that the new msvcp110.dll is 661 456 bytes.

    (5) open CC 2014!

The problem is the msvcp110.dll file that was present was 535 008 bytes instead of 661 456 bytes. Even reinstalling the C++ 2012 was not up to date the file as it was supposed to, so the old man, we stayed.

I hope this helps someone else!

This error comes usually when there is a corrupted installation of the Ps (or the user has deleted/moved files needed). In this case, you need to install PS CC after using cleaning tool (http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html)

Could you please provide me with the following log files to confirm the same:

    You can find them at:

    PS 14.1.2 install records

    For Mac:

    Library\Logs\Adobe\Installer

    To win:

    Program files (x 86) \Common Files\Adobe\Installers

    Newspapers of the MAO

    For Mac:

    /Volumes/%volume Name%/Users/%Username%/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AAMUpdater/1.0

    To win:

    C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Adobe\AAMUpdater

You can zip all the files together and send us by e-mail. This would help us to find the root cause.

Appreciate your help. Apologize for the inconvenience.

    Kind regards
