After the last update of windows vista service Pack 2 and flash 10 that my system continues to blue screen, the solution has advised windows that will fix it is to uninstall flash and reinstal, it dosent solution work any ideas? I tried to roll back to Flash 9 and it's less, but happens again... someone has any ideas?

First, uninstall Flash to make sure that's not the problem.  If the problem persists and if the problem is related to the installation of Vista SP2 (as seems to be the case), then Support Microsoft offers free technical support for installation of Vista SP2 issues at: https://support.microsoft.com/oas/default.aspx?prid=13014&gprid=582034&st=1&wfxredirect=1&sd=gn.  They are experts on these issues and you should take advantage of the offer, although it is still free.  I'm sure they will be able to help you.  Minimize (but do not deny) the update of Flash and to focus on the installation of SP2 when you explain the problem.

I hope this helps.  If this isn't the case, after return and we'll see what we can do.

All facilities have their own advantages and disadvantages. We at Microsoft is constantly working to improve, acceleration and provide better services to our users use microsoft products and therefore release of service packs. Service packs are released to solve the problems of the operating system such as the provision of software to hardware compatibility with other products launched on the market (not necessarily Microsoft products), Microsoft publishes fixes for minor problems experienced by users of Microsoft operating system and constantly keep abreast with the latest technology. So I recommend you keep your operating system up to date to benefit from the advantages mentioned above and for the proper functioning of the operating system.

It can cause minor problems during the installation of updates (honestly what OS doesn't?). But its better to deal with minor problems (which can be fixed) after the installation of updates, as the face of the problems otherwise.

So I got advice go you and install the updates sent by Microsoft as it also fixes bugs you mentioned.

  • Vista Service Pack 2 will not install on my Vista.

Since the Service Pack was released I tried to install it. And each time, repeatedly, he'll prepare my computer, tell me to restart, it will do the "install Windows Vista Service Pack 2 1/3 0% Complete" thing when I restart and right at the end where it says "3/3 100% complete" it will stop for about a minute, then say "Service Pack was not installed. Returning change"and it'll take about half an hour at a time to undo everything he does simply, without any reason. I don't know what is happening, and it's the most frustrating thing because it won't go away, and I do not understand how to fix it. Could someone help me with what to do please?

  • Windows Vista Service pack 1 and 2 do not install correctly

I recently reinstalled vista on my system Its Home Premium Copyright 2006 32-bit computer

I have installed all updates from windows update the first time approximately 57 updates failed to install including Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 and the .NET Framework 3.5 Family Update (KB951847) x 86 so I rebooted just to install the rest and then tried to install the others after it restarts.

After that I clicked on install the updates once more, he apparently installed...

I wanted to have an antivirus for my computer as soon as possible, but I knew that I need service pack 1, I went to install it and it says there is no service pack installed on my computer... I checked the updates he says, that it has been installed. I checked my system (via right click on computer > properties) but no Service pack has been shown

I thought necessary to install service pack 2 aswell so he can show upi installed service pack 2 through windows update restart computer... and yet once installed apparently... I check the system just to be safe, and this is not there... I don't know what is happening... IM wondering if I install the first Service pack for it displays on my system I just uninstall the service packs and Im trying to reinstall service pack 1 (Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 and .NET Framework 3.5 Family Update (KB951847) x 86) to see if it can appear after installing it manually from the microsoft Web site

You can download what it is a good, free, program of Microsoft.

You could have downloaded from another computer, transferred via USB drive installed on your computer, updated and then went to your updates.

You may have more luck installing Service Packs in this way.

This page will display the SP1 of Vista, under the heading: order a DVD of Windows Vista SP1, click on your region and then select your country and will take you to a page where you can buy the SP1 and SP2

Save the link and it's also for others to read this post wishing to purchase Service Packs for Vista as long download time saved and you can use them download are a problem or you reinstall your operating system.

If you later reinstall OS and you install the drivers manually install the Service Packs right after OS reinstalled before installing any drivers. You can first install the drivers but it is better Service Packs first as sometimes when you install a Service Pack after the drivers, you can find some drivers do not work and you have to reinstall these drivers.

For people using the original image, your drivers are already installed then install Service Packs just after the factory restore before installing applications or devices or download Windows updates.

Service Packs using immediately also save hundreds of download of the updates of Windows first of all that all updates to the top until the release of Service Packs are included.

  • Problem installing Vista Service Pack 1

    Hello

I searched the internet for hours now and have found many people with the same problem but I couldn't find a solution.

I just bought software that requires Vista service pack 1 which I thought that I had already but I didn't so I installed it.
It goes through the whole process of installation and the last section after restarting, it goes to a black screen where it moves well as files or something but locks files 37898/94821 with the message:! 0xc01a001d! (\Registry\Machine\COMPONENETS\winners\x86...).

If anyone has had this problem and know what to do.
My laptop is fine without service pack 1, but my new software needs to work so I have to download it.

    Thank you

    Hello

To be honest, I never had any problem with my Vista updates
The Vista updates automatically every time when I m online and when new updates are available

How have you tried to update the Vista operating system?
Have you downloaded the SP1 version first on the HARD drive or do you run an automatic update?

If the automatic update does not work, try to download the SP1 version first, and then start the update procedure:

    SP1 can be downloaded here:

  • Impossible to install Vista Service Pack 1

Hello. I have tried everywhere looking for a solution but does. My computer will not install Windows Vista Service Pack 1. I don't get the error messages. I click Download and install via Windows Update. To install the service pack. I am asked that it can take an hour or more. Then I have to click on the acceptance contract. After clicking on these screens, a new windows update screen pops up saying update installed successfully. Said the same thing in my history of update. After windows update closing and reopening, Windows Vista Service Pack 1 is back to the list of updates to install. This happens every time. The system makes no effort to install the update and doesn't give any error message.

I tried to start in safe mode, but it still didn't install. Reinstalling Windows is not an option, because other users of this computer would be panic. I defragmented the hardrive and did an error check. Also ran CCleaner and one analyzing antivirus and ad-ware/malware. Nothing works. I know a lot about computers, but this one me stem.

I also tried update readiness tool. Someone suggested that to me. A took about 25 minutes to install. He then said 'Installation '. I liquidated it and tried the service pack. Still a no go. So I rebooted the system and tried to install it then. It has not yet installed. I don't really know what did Update Readiness Tool.

I also tried to install the stand-alone version. He has not installed and said that Windows update has encountered an unknown error. This is the version of 5 language pack.

    Please help me! Thank you

  • Vista Service Pack 2 will not ' cold' start

I have a Dell Studio 1737 I bought last week. Windows Vista Service Pack 2 update offered. I selected it and ran through the upgrade. He completed all 3 steps and rebooted. Seems to work very well. I turned off the laptop and went to bed.

This morning, the laptop complete the power on self test and went to boot Vista. Nothing for 20 minutes then a warning to the blue screen. He himself deleted before that I could read what caused the BSOD and then tried a reboot. Black screen for 20 minutes with no hard disk activity. Manually, I forced a stop down and loaded the boot menu. Choose the Startup Repair. After 30 minutes, advised by the screen to try a restore to an earlier version running. It took another hour, but it worked.

Update Windows SP2 offered again. Thinking that it may have been an installation failed, tried again. Downloaded and installed SP2, these three steps successfully completed. Yet once computer rebooted (hot start) and did fine. Shut down the system and restarted (cold boot). Same results! MESSAGE completed and handed over to Vista SP2 and then black screen. Took me another 90 minutes, but I restored it to Vista SP1, now it works well.

So I can run Vista Home Premium 64 bit SP1 without problem but SP2 does not work?

Update looking for a 64-bit SP2 or just blindly offer software?

I think that Microsoft is using me as a Guinea pig.

I'm supposed to receive a DVD of Windows 7 from Dell, in an upgrade. I am wary to install it now since SP2 does not work yet. I was so angry, I jumped out early without digging further, but now I think I might very well be better to stay with SP1 and jump more "updates" unless someone can tell me what is happening here.

How SP1 can be compatible, but SP2 is not?

And if all you can afford is a response of canned paste, boiler, don't waste your time. All it will do is make me madder.

Apparently, offered to customers by Windows Update SP2 update is NOT a complete or is not 64-bit capable.

    UH - huh...

    1. What is the full name of your application or the installed antivirus security suite and when (date about) because your current subscription expires?  What (other than Defender) anti-spyware applications are installed?  What third-party firewall (if applicable)?

1B. were ALL of those applications that run in the background when you initially tried install SP2?

    2. do you have a free trial Norton, or a test of free McAfee [a] come preinstalled on the computer when you bought it? (No matter if you have never used or activated).
