  Anyone know how to work with PP sequences that have been sent to the SG and that include nested sequences?

  The problem I have is that I often use sequences nested for my b-roll but when I send the main sequence to the PP SG with Dynamic link, I can't develop these nested sequences. This means I can't rank of each element of the nested sequence, the layers of classification applies to all the clips. It is a problem that the clips are often very different. Around that, the only way is to turn trigger my project between the PP and SG several times. Once for the main sequence and once again for each nested sequence. It is a real pain as everytime you need to close your PP project, and then open it again when you come back to SG.

• Snap the clipping on the grid mask

  Hey Merry Xmax to all the world,

  I have a clipping on an image mask so that I can hide a part of the image. Now if I try to break the masked image Illustrator will use the image adjusted limits (i.e. the hidden part of the image) as a reference to align everything. The result is that the image itself always end badly aligned with the grid. In order to solve that I have to manually enter the correct values in the transform Panel, which is a pain. Is this expected behavior? If so, I don't see any point of it. Or maybe I'm missing some preference?

  Find attached a screenshot illustrating the problem, note how the hidden part of the image is perfectly aligned with the grid so that the mask (the visible part of the image) is misaligned.

  What happens if you view > Snap to Grid checked (you can check the object selection by path only in the General preferences) and then with the Selection tool:

  1) click on the clipping mask.

  (2) move the cursor to be close to the desired angle, Point anchor, but just outside the image.

  (3) click to deselect it, and then move the slider (align and follow the side of the image which is indicated by a full rectangle then) snap up the angle which is indicated by a rectangle hollow, then ClickDrag to the desired grid intersection/place?

  Should allow you to drag all through the corner of the desired image. You can see when you click to ClickDragging star.

  With path only, you can follow the side (vertically or in the past), without it you is perhaps inside the image so that you can go to the outside and to the up/down, to hit the corner.

• "Select inverse" equivalent - or a clipping on the top layer mask

  Hiya.

  I'm looking for something in Illustrator that would allow me to do the equivalent of what a "select inverse" then delete, or would a "layer mask" in Photoshop. I haved tried various combinations of clipping mask and dedicated way without any acceptable results.

  I was given this file and it's messy. I am wanting to delete all points except those on top of the layer gradiented.  (as this second picture).

  

  There is no living text. Currently, gradiented layer is separated the two layers and it has a line on that. Each wee point is its own form now too.

  Art • grouped on configurations with a line called die.

  • All groups exist on "Layer 1"

  I am a loop in groups and work with groups who has relatives is "layer". I have to loop through all the groups in the document, but when I created the clipping mask creates a new group and live my loop. I am now a loop only in groups of "Layer 1"and moving them to a new layer before the clipping mask. My script is breaking after the Group has been moved to the new layer. I have a bunch of alerts in there for debugging.

  Inside of my plu script that it breaks in silence, in this example script is for me a 'no such item. There should be such an element, I just put there. Once the script completes, the Group has been moved, which means that the named path is right where it should be.

  I have a background and I need to apply a clipping of a group object mask. I can't perform the task that it clips only one object in the group.

  To be more precise, you can, for a clipping mask,

  (1) create the object in the background to be cut;

  (2) create the clipping objects, such as 3 separate letters (or just three circles or other) and place them as you wish on top of the background object;

  (3) select all letters/objects and object > compound mask > make;

  ((4) ShiftClick the background object or ClickDrag on everything or Ctrl / Cmd + A to select the two 1) and 3) and

  Object > clipping mask > make.

  and an opacity mask.

  (1) create the object in the background to be cut;

  (2) create the masking objects as objects of filling/nostroke in black or white, such as 3 separate live/described letters (or just three circles or other) and place them as you wish on top of the background object;

  (3) select all letters/objects and Ctrl / Cmd + G to group them (with the letters, you can use Object > compound mask > do instead);

  ((4) ShiftClick the background object or ClickDrag on everything or Ctrl / Cmd + A to select the two 1) and 3) and

  Click transparency Launcher (click on the right arrow above) do with with Clip opacity mask and mask invert checked (black letters, mask Invert unchecked for white letters).

  I'm new to editing video I have an interview who was the terrible noise. So, I bought neat video plugin. I used the CAP in the clip. When I try to use a mask the effects of blur me out of the interview he then places the noise reduction in the mask of the effects too. I know I have to do something basic wrong!

  Can someone help me please!

  What version of Premiere Elements you are using and on what computer operating system is running?

  For now, I'll assume you use first elements 12 on Windows 7, 8 or 8.1 64bits.

  I did not care Video Filter, but if I apply fx effects/Advanced adjustments/mixer for the selected

  clip (my attempt to the video filter Neat counterpart) and then aim for Clip Menu/effects of mask, the minute

  I hit apply, the clip lose the channel mixer effect.

  So far, I tried a few variations but the one that works for me right now regarding what you are looking for

  is

  a. apply the video filter neat on your clip.

  b. export this clip of chronology in a format compatible with the project.

  c. re-import the clip in the project and then apply the mask the effects of

  which you apply the Gaussian blur effect.

  I'm going to explore other ideas shortly.

• New adjustment layers - create the clipping mask?

  This just started happening.  I use Windows Home Premium 64-bit and 64-bit Photoshop CS5 (not extended).  My system specs are listed below.

  I've been editing a series of photos when the levels adjustment layer dialog box started to behave abnormally.  Finally, I realized that, in the "New layer" dialog, the "Use previous layer to create clipping mask" is checked.  When I click on button othe levels in the "Adjustments" pane the new adjustment layer is also indented as if I had used the Ctrl + Alt + G key combination.

  I restarted Photoshop and got the same behavior, then restarted Windows and always get the same behavior.  I am sure I have inadvertently enabled something, but can not find the place where to retrieve the original bahavior.  Does anyone know where to turn?

  With no layer selected setting, go to the menu in the settings panel and deselect the Clip option to layer

• Help to recreate the effect of shadow cast by the clipping mask

  Is there a few months, I created the image attached. Today, for the life of me I can not create a similar effect, where the shadow text source the clipping mask. Whenever I try to follow the same steps and the layer styles, that I get a normal black shadow not a shade that comes from the clipping mask as in my example. Help please I'm driving myself crazy!

  
  

  If you put the layer containing the shadow applied to a smart object the clipping mask will be applied to the shadow as well. Right click-> Convert to smart object

  I am comfortable in Photoshop, Illustrator and decent am in Flash (but it's been a while).
  
  What I'm trying to do is to have several hidden objects (images - not vector) fade in and out on a background that is also moving. My client has provided me a psd with all images, etc. on text layers.
  
  I did w/transparent GIFs, but no matter what I do, there is a white line on the edge of the graph. Image was made in PShop erasing everything except what was desired and saved as gif/trans. White edge appears due to being on a dark background... I have change the gif in PShop and erase the whole circumference, save, updated and it is always there!
  
  I have messed around with the functionality of mask in Flash and am missteps through editing Fireworks can't do the job right!
  
  I can't find a source of info that is sufficiently deep to tide me over.

• Help with the looks to copy it from the clip of

  I so want to wrap your head around this program frustrating (I do so well with the rest of the suite Adobe), but I'm fighting.  It should be simple, but try as I might I can't seem to make it work.

  After building a glance on a clip with the color wheels and sliders and the primary and secondary layers and masks, etc... I just want to COPY exactly the look on the same instance of the clip in subsequent shots.  Or maybe who will overlook a different plug, but the same time otherwise.

  I don't want to use the shooting function.  I want to COPY, as you may first CS6 and now with the attributes of the dough into CC.

  I've read and seen in the tutorials a confusing function that involves the Alt keys and keypads, but I'm on a Mac of the retina that has the smaller keyboard.  And this copy feature seems limited to spaces '9 '.  What about a clip that reappears 10 slots later?

  Am I missing something?  The manual says hitting 'C' allows you to copy a grade, but then what?  There is no function "Paste."  Help!  And I thank you.

  I use the C all the time. This is copy - paste at once:

  1. Select the item you want to copy to

  2 hover your mouse over the clip you want to copy from (don't click)

  3. press on "C".

  The clip in step 1 should have now the ranking form of battery the clip in step 2.

  PPut a clip on top of another in the timeline panel. In the video Inspector reduce the opacity of the clip on top.

• Napster did break with the Clip +?

  My Clip + today reminded me that I need to connect it to Napster to renew my songs.  So I did the same thing I have been doing for years - connect my Clip + to my laptop, open Napster PC software on my laptop, then the synchronization and the Clip and Napster away into the sunset, hand in hand, until its time to do it again.

  But this time, the Napster software simply refuses to acknowledge that my Clip + is connected.  Napster has ghosts on us?  I sent to Napster to ask the same thing, but I thought someone here might have some info while I wait to hear back.

  If Napster has indeed turned the back on mp3 players, what is a girl to do to its subscription-music mp3 needs?  I'll have to appeal to a lousy speakeasy-like service lane metro mp3 music to get my fix?  Or I need to find a 12 step mp3 music program?
