  Cloud programs don't use serial... numbers you, connect you to your cloud account paying to download & install & activate... you may need to sign out of the cloud and restart your computer and log into the cloud for things to work

  Hi Scott, there is no single click to update all applications Adobe CC, but you can go in the Adobe Application Manager to download the creative cloud app, which allows you to install new versions of photoshop CC, first, etc.

  So basically, you will always have your CS6 software, and it will install the software of CC next to him.  In this way, if one of your plugins have not been upgraded yet, you can still use CS6.

  Disable your existing installation of Creative Suite for free activation.

  Open any application e.g. Photoshop then help > Deactivate. That will disable the entire suite.

  Reinstall Windows.

  or currently existing files are compatible to install with Windows 7?

  Would I be able to upgrade to windows 7 without any problem and safely?

  You understand that you will not be able to upgrade Windows XP to Windows 7?  He will have to do a clean install.

  I suggest that you contact HP because it will be the best solution (and much cheaper).  If you are in the United States / Canada, give them a call at 1-800-474-6836 and talk to a representative for the recovery disc for this laptop.  If you are outside this area, you will need to go to www.hp.com/support to find contact information.
